Hôtel Albe Saint Michel is in a central location, in the heart of Paris’ Latin Quarter, by the Seine River. It is 5 minutes from Notre Dame Cathedral and the chic Saint-Germain-des-Prés district.
Score from 607 reviews Very good
The location was perfect; close enough to walk to all of the action but far enough away that it was quiet. The young lady who worked the day shift at the reception desk was outstanding; very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful.
Breakfasts were too expensive and WI-fi was not working.
Everything, the staff, especially Valerie and Beatrice were super. Very obliging. Very clean.
The Hotel was in a nice area close to Notre Dame & the Seine. Two Metro's within a few minutes walk. Breakfast was very good & substantial room comfy & very clean. The staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English. Attention to every detail re maps, passes & directions all very helpful. Our stay was comfortable & enjoyable & very good value for money would recommend !
Room was compact but we only slept there so ok.
The location was excellent, and close to many of the famous attractions. Maria the receptionist was extremely helpful
Room was tiny, as was the shower cabinet
Walking distance to Notre Dame, minutes from the M7 or M10 which bring you to ALL the major sites. Staff is great. Price is excellent! We drove from Kaiserslautern Germany and stayed two nights and three full days. I've traveled all over Europe in the past 8 years. The best value for the dollar!
We stayed two nights and three full days. The room is small, if you are big or have a lot of luggage you'll be uncomfortable. The front rooms can be noisy due to the main road it's on. The shower was small and kinda moldy. The bed was old and not soft enough. Still the best value for the dollar!
Staff was extremely helpful. Fairly clean room. Fairly priced. Nice view from balcony.
Very small room. A little dusty and old. Just enough for two people and two luggages. A little noisy at night only when people returning back into their room.
Location very good Right opposite Subway. Very handy Very friendly staff. Bi-Lingual Substantial continental breakfast Great restaurants in close proximity Safe area
Rooms at front of hotel can be quite noisy. However, rooms at back are very quite (we had 2 rooms for our family) Very small rooms, but quite spacious bathrooms. Both of the above "negative" points are facts, but did not deter from the hotel particularly, as Central Paris is re-knowned for both of the above. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.
Location - 10 mins walk from Notre Dame and just round the corner from Rue Moufftard with loads of excellent, reasonably priced restaurants. Near Metro too. Ask for room at the rear for total peace and quiet.
The location is excellent. The atmosphere and neighbourhood is very 'Parisian' meaning that you meet mainly frenchmen in the neighboorhood and not tourists. Close to Notre Dame, the Luxembourg park and to two Metrostations. Many restaurants and bars a three minute walk fraom the hotel.Friendly staff.
Very simple, small rooms and some renovation would be useful. Easy to hear people in the neighbour rooms.
Location is excellent, 10 mins walk to Notre Dame and just round the corner from loads of restaurants and bars in Mouffetard. Clean, friendly, nice breakfasts.
Very convenient location
Breakfast was very expensive and poor quality. Room temperature was very variable (my room was very cold and two colleagues had very hot rooms)
Valarie was extremely helpful in every way!
GREAT service. I had sprained my ankle during the Paris Marathon and every day when I came into the hotel after that day, they offered me ice packs for my ankle. They were also very helpful for every other request we had during our stay.
This is not really a complaint because this is just how Paris is but literally there was no room to walk in the room. The room fit the bed and a small desk. My husband and I had to go one at a time from the bathroom to the desk because there was only enough room at the end of the bed for one person to pass by. Very cramped. But I knew this going in as I have stayed in Paris before :)
Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - recommended good restaurants in the locality and made our restaurant bookings.
Room was a bit on the small side.
the staffs are really nice and helpful
The room is too small, but this is common in the city center of Paris.
Well located and very helpful staff
Wi fi was erratic and unreliable. Room was very small and stuffy and very little space for luggage
The hotel is centrally located, not far from Notre Dame at all. And only 15-20 minute walk from Gare de Lyon. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean ! There is a mini bar in the room - not too overly priced. They told me that they will be making some renovations to the hotel in 2014. The neighborhood is nice and safe ! Good restaurants nearby and not far from St Germain.
THE STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND NICE. THE ROOM IS COMFORTABLE EVEN IS A BIT SMALL. IS NEAR TO METRO JUST NEED TO WALK ABT 5 MINS
The reception staff (Laura) was very helpful and made our stay easy. The hotel had great location and links to the local transport.
Rooms were extremely small. The shower room was so small such that when turning you ended up turning the tap. Just very compact. Be prepared to spend a lot of time in close proximity.
Location excellent , staff very helpful.
Only 2 milks left so only 1 cup of tea/coffee each.
The staff was very helpful. The free WiFi was very good. The area is very nice and safe. There are very nice attractions in the area. The room size was ok. I liked the coffee facility in the room.
The hotel in in the middle between 2stations, so you have access to different lines but you have to drag your luggage for some distance anyway you come. You have to leave your cardkey every time you go out. The safe box didn't work properly. The TV didn't work on the last night. I found a bed bug on 2 different nights and the bed sheet was not changed although it had an apparent stain.
The location, public transport and the lack of prepayment. And I made there one of the cheapest international hotel calls I ever did.
Terribly small room with even smaller bathroom (impossible to turn in that shower); no light in the corridors, claiming an ecofriendly approach; 10min firealarm in the late night of Sunday without any explanation/coordination or whatever (not even apologies afterwards); bumping small elevator that shakes you at each floor; far too expensive breakfast (can be solved easily in Paris); no luggage conservation facilities at all.
Showers were tiny, hard to avoid hitting tap control and changing hot/cold balance while trying to wash. Internet signal in room was too weak and inconsistent to be reliable. Had to go down to lobby to get a decent signal
cleanliness, staff friendliness, location
We could make a cup of tea
