The hotel was well run and up to its description. They charged me the wrong rate at checkout. |

The hotel is located at the beach, within 20 minutes walk of the centre of Saint Malo where most of the shops and restaurants are. Guests have free access to the spa (hammam, sauna, swimmingpool with seawater) of the next door thalasso center. There can be a lot of people in the spa center, as this is also open for non guests of the hotel. We booked a room with no restitution the first night, we thought it was renovated, which was not. Hotel is not renovated entirely yet, instead you would think because of photo's. |

Room was very clean and comfortable and the restaurant and bar facilities were very good. Beachfront location excellent, though quite a walk from the walled city. In room information was mainly in French and yes, I know we were in France, but I would expect a 4 star hotel to provide information to account for overseas visitors. Accessing the spa facilities was very confusing and badly signposted. We had difficulty on departure explaining that we had not taken breakfast at all during our stay, so had to spend 10 minutes trying to get 160 euros taken off our bill to account for this. I got the impression the member of staff did not believe us. |

Refurbished rooms are nice and comfortable. Restaurant Cap Horn is very good, prices are moderate. Very nice seaviews. Swimming pool opens only at 8:30 in the morning. |

The hotel offers a quiet relaxed atmosphere. The bedrooms are a fair size and its right on the beach Its very quiet and is for sure a haunt for very old people. Dont expect any life in the bars or restaurants in the evening as they are extremely quiet. I felt as if I was in an old peoples home. |

Secure car parking and easy to find. Dining options all very expensive and formal. The average stayer there is geriatric age. The bar totally lacks character, you have to whisper. No air con in standard rooms. Too far from the town. |

Dinner at the Cape Horn restaurant was divine. It was a gourmet experience not to be missed. Spa patrons were often seen in other parts of the hotel in their spa robes, which were somewhat thin and often see through. |
