The room, the restaurant, the excellent tv screen and (English) channels, the peaceful ambiance, the professional and friendly service at all levels, the reasonable cost, the high standard of decoration (congratulations to whoever designed the interior bedroom decorations - very clever) and cleanliness.

The only thing I didn't like was that when I took a shower, I had to hold the shower handset in one hand, so I could only use the other hand to wash myself. It should be possible to fix the shower head to the wall. The main (vehicular) entrance is also very small for such a large hotel, only allowing one car's width at a time.

The restaurant staff are extremely friendly and spoke fine english

The entire building is permeated by an unpleasant smell which we found quite offensive and our room was tiny.

All brochures in french and menus but staff very helpful and pleasant.I Got the impression the hotel was set up for Parisians and I would regularly book in if I was local.This was both beneficial and a disadvantage but also this added to a cultural experience which we found interesting.We were the first Australians to attend the hotel which surprised us as we will be recommending it to our friends of our age groupLearn

spa zone is good, but not so like as in Austria. A little bit old, without relaxation rooms. Extra 20 euro for 1 visit Aquatonic pool - child pays too!

The location and the spa

The room was extremely hot and the airco was poor (freezing cold). We had to sleep we the windows wide open... In December. The reception staff didn't help us with our luggage and were rude The restaurant Cap Horn puts pork in the food without any indication in the menu. When we complained, the answer from the manager was that it was our fault. The rooms are just ugly and look old. the room service selection (food) is extremely poor.

Light bright interior

I was disappointed that no milk was available with the coffee and tea facility in our room. I did mention this to the young man who delivered two chocolates but no milk was provided.

Very appealing grand old 19th century spa hotel with sympathetically designed newer 20th century building extending the original. Beautiful location on the beach, overlooking the sea

Hotel was very nicely furnished and equipped. Facility was a spa destination also with a very nice beach outside near Manche Sea. Rooms were quite large enough and nicely decorated. Restaurants were very good in service with delicious food.

Hotel facility was so complex with various connected buildings that's why you couldn't find your room alone without assistance by the staff. The visitor s were mainly old singles/couples so it wouldn't be so exciting for young people.

The fact that it was located relatively close to the walled city.

Room was horribly dated (and I think we even had a renovated room). It was nearly impossible to get the attention of the hotel staff. Cost of room was extremely excessive considering the quality of hotel. Very disappointed. Nowhere near a four star hotel.

Great location, right on the beach about 2kms from the walled city in a quiet residential part of town. Plenty of local shops, bars and restaurants if you didn't want to wander in to the centre. Nice, polite, attentive staff made us feel welcome.

Hotel was a little tired and could do with sprucing up a little. Most of the spa facilities (including the Jacuzzi pool) were charged in addition to the room rate, so if you're planning to pamper youself, it could get pretty expensive.

Everything. The hotel was well situated, had everything possible plus that you would want. The beds were a dream, room very, very clean as was the whoel hotel. It was for sure a 5 star plus. The view onto the because was unbelievable. Food was wonderful - perfect weekend - I travel a lot and this was at the top of the list.

Would like to have found the hotel boutique, but not speaking French was not understood. A sign would have been very helpful at the front desk to let you know which direction to go (a very very small problem)

A great hotel to see Saint Malo. Quite comfortable, though no frills. Breakfast was very good, as well as spa facilities. A decent size swimming pool. The location was good for long walks along the beach.

The swimming pool was a bit crowded during the day. It could also stay open a bit longer, than 7 pm.

We liked the position overlooking the beach, but above all we liked sitting in the bar and listening to the wonderful pianist.

We thought the massages were overpriced and not as good as elsewhere

Aquasonic..... The heated salt water spa activities and pools, services....huge "thermal therapy" facility.

The position of the hotel and the fact that it has the famous spa, which you can access directly from the hotel

The room that we stayed was not one of those which are renovated and thus was not according to our expectations.furniture old no heating no aircondition. If we wanted to take another room with sea view we would have to pay additional 300 euros!! The hotel in general appart from its position is nothing special for its price. You can find much better in the region.
