A unique and quirky hotel with each room themed to a different detective. We stayed with our 2 young children in 2 connecting rooms (CSI - les experts) which was very convenient and quiet. A lot of time has gone into the little details of the room and hotel in general. The staff were very friendly, breakfast very good and location excellent. Secure parking was also arranged for guests with the neighbouring garage. We would definately stay again! The top bunk bed in our room was a little high for our 6 year old.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hidden bathroom in the Sherlock Holmes room. It was very clever! The decoration was fabulous throughout the hotel. Each little touch made for a lovely atmosphere. Though we did not travel with our daughter, we certainly could have -- the hotel is very child-friendly.

Very very very polite nice and pleasant personnel!!! Especially at the reception! The hotel is very conviniently situated in the center of Etretat, close to the shore and all the sightseeings and cafes. Very unusual and interesting design of the interior. Good breakfast! The building of the hotel itself is too old... But, I should make a remark that almost all buildings in the town are pretty old))

Good service, friendly staff, interesting room designs, good central location, free wifi Not enough lighting in room (no bedside light on lower bunk bed), not enough hangers in room (2 for a 4-peson room), one key for a 4-person room, no soap in bathroom, not enough space for toiletries in bathroom, room details wouldn't display in browsers (safari, chrome, firefox) on mac

Location of the hotel is very good. There is a gap between price and quality of living that is offered. The smell in the room (Hercule Poirot) is unpleasant, room is need to have been repaired. Price is not fair.

Fun and unique decor. It is well located in the town and close to every thing, few blocks from the water front. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a very basic hotel but the decor makes it fun. Basic but a very good value. We parked in the secure garage down the block for a resonable fee, which was fine for us as we walked everywhere; but you don't have access to your vehicle in the evening/night. Breakfast was Ok, had a decent variety but maybe a bit expensive. Wifi was good in the room. The street noise. It was cool at night when we stayed there so we were able to close the windows. If it was very hot you would need them open all night and the noise in the early morning can be annoying.

We liked the originality of the hotel with the themes of detectives and inspectors. We were in the Colombo room. We really enjoyed the location of the hotel, next to the townhouse and 5 minute walk from the beach. We missed a kettle in the room, very handy to do tea in the evening.

The quirkiness of the rooms. Breakfast was excellent value for money. We could park our classic car at the garage next door - great peace of mind for us. I'd stay there again- nothing I disliked

The hotel is on the main street, in two houses from town hall where the bus stops. The sea is in 5 min walk. The food shop, bakery, other things are near too: the tourist area is extremely narrow. The staff was very kind and helpful. They called us a taxi when our 7 a.m. bus to Le Havre didn't even show up because we were worried that we could miss a train. They do speak English. The hotel has beautiful bar on the 1 stage where you can find many board games, French books and gorgeous photo albums. The stairway is squeaky and fun. We don't have much of a luggage and our backpacks don't like elevators.

The hotel was in a great central location in Etretat. The bar did not appear to be open during our stay and we did not get up in time for breakfast so can't comment on these. There is a great bakery opposite! We were able to park for 5 euros per night on the adjoining garage which was a great bonus, parking in the town is difficult in busy season. We loved the retro turntable in the room and supply of 1980's vinyl LPS! Free Wi-fi in the rooms also a plus. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would recommend the hotel to friends.
