Dolce Vita à Nice  

Excellent location for restaurants, shops, transport and the attractions of the old town and promenade. Bright and attractive decor. Well equipped for self-catering. Good sized bathroom. Elegant building with small but sunny balcony.

Some noise in the early hours from revellers going home but effective double glazing, so you can shut this out.

It's located in Gilmaldi Plaza, it's a couple minutes walk to the pedestrian street filled with shops and restaurants. It is close to supermarkets, Gallery Lafayette, to the beach, it is in the heart of Nice! If you want to live like a local, this is the place to be. The Nespresso machine is also great too, it's like having an expresso every morning in the comfort of my own home.

The owner does not accept credit cards, so the payment is done by electronic wire transfers. You should contact your bank to find out how much additional fees are required when performing a wire transfer, I got dinged with over 50 euros of bank fees. Ouch! But that did not spoil the great time we had in the studio.

Lived in that hotel in August 2012, liked the apartament's a lot. They fit for mature couples and lone travelers. Comfortable living, only thing that was missing was a/c the weather was really hot but no matter that tiny discomfort planning to pay another visit to this great place.

sehr schhönes Apartment in absoluter Innenstadtlage, besonders in dieser Jahreszeit sehr angenehm, zu Fuß ist alles erreichbar

technische Ausstattung nicht optimal,Spülmaschine defekt, Wasser läuft in der Toilette nach, kaltes Wasser har zuwenig Druck, im Sommer wird es wahrscheinlich sehr heiß im Apartment, die Parkplatzsituation ist ein teures Abenteuer und nervig!

Hyvä sijainti. Lähikauppa vieressä ja shoppailut ja beach. Hinta laatusuhde hyvä.

Ilmastointi puuttui. Kuumalla ilmalla välttämätön.

Die Lage des Appartements ist perfekt. Es hat gleich eine Bushaltestelle vor dem Haus und in nächster Nähe befinden sich ein Supermarkt und tolle Restaurants. Zudem ist man in kürzester Zeit ( zu Fuss ) am Meer, oder mitten im pulsierenden Leben von Nizza. Die Einrichtung des Appartements ist zweckdienlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles in gutem und sauberen Zustand. Die Schlüsselübergabe klappte einwandfrei und problemlos.

Die Beleuchtung im Korridor wurde trotz Versprechen nicht repariert, das Schlüsselloch mussten wir mit dem Feuerzeug suchen um in unser Appartement zu gelangen. Eine der 2 Kochplatten war defekt, das Wasser in der Dusche war schwer zu regulieren, es kam kaum Kaltwasser, kein Duschvorhang :-( Anregung: ein Sonnenschirm, den man an den Strand mitnehmen dürfte, wäre ein wunderbares Supplement!

perfekte Lage: mitten im Stadtzentrum und ca 10min vom Strand entfernt. Das Appartment ist liebevoll eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Ebenfalls den Balkon habe ich sehr geschätzt und man kann abends gut noch draussen sitzen.

The studio's owner is very kind and warm.She gave our very useful information about the city. Dolce Vita a Nice is an amazing place to stay. Oven, coffee machine and refrigerator are all included and we can have breakfast in balcony under Nice sunshine which is what I expect. We can easily arrive every viewpoint of Nice in 15 minutes by walk or tram. It is really a good place to stay.

Internet WiFi signal is not good the room.

We liked the location which was handy for shops, restaurants, public transport, and beach. The flat was clean, bright, uncluttered and tidy which was to our taste. It was fun to go to the nearby shops and buy baguettes and other typically French produce. Especially wonderful are the 7-day bus tickets and the modern clean buses. Using these we travelled widely in the town and environs. It was also great fun to run along the wide Promenade Anglais - popular with local runners and visitors alike. Although it the end of January the temperature was regularly between 14-17 c and apart from one showery morning it was sunny the whole week.

When we arrived we found the keyholder waiting in the street. We were taken into a nearby apartment/office/lettings building and on the 3rd floor we discovered the landing light in the windowless corridor outside the door of the flat known as Dolce Vita wasn't working. The keyholder with the assistance of a flickering torch and when that died a cigarette lighter attempted to show us the intricacies of a key-safe box which she was unable to operate. In the flat it was explained that at weekends the main door to the building was always locked and that during the week it was locked at 8pm. We were given one key to this door. We said we would like two sets of keys - one set for each of us as we had separate holiday agendas and would arrive at the building at different times - after some telephoning and strong insistence the second key (but only the key to the door of the flat) was eventually forthcoming. We were told that the landing light would be fixed the next day but it of course it wasn't and it wasn't fixed during the whole of the week that we were there. Reading through old reviews we note that this problem with the light has happened to a previous guest. The keyholder/cleaner agreed with us that the whole business of the key and the proposed key box in the dark solution was "crazy". We had to phone the owners twice to get the situation resolved to our satisfaction. A small problem was the noise of the almost constantly running fridge during the night, although the control was pre-set at a red mark.

Location is great, close to everything you could want. Bo-ho feel to the apartment.

The need to pay by bacs, provide a €500 cash deposit on arrival & then be given an extra charge for arrival / departure 'out of hours' detracts vs other accomodation options in town. Hot water took a long time to get to the bathroom.

Отличное месторасположение квартиры! Большая и комфортная ванная комната. Уютный интерьер.

Вид с балкона нельзя назвать красивым, на балконе сидеть невозможно, он слишком узкий.
