Good value for money. Good for a short break on way to south. Great breakfast

We booked a large superior room with place for 3 but was given a small room.

Ambiance and location together with the Cave and excellent vins.

No reception in the afternoon !

Large bedroom with eclectic furnishings. Very friendly staff. Wine tasting superb. Food good quality and quantity.

Family operate a winery too! Family room was in converted attic - very rustic & charming. Meal at €28 including all wine very good value and good quality too. Staff went to extra trouble to accomodate my daughter. Lovely quiet location in countryside.

You need a car; no shops or pubs in village.

On our way back to Charles de Gaulle Airport we overnighted at Domaine Borgnat and had a great little wine tasting. Given the snowstorm that hit France and put all travel into a tailspin our breakfast was provided much earlier than usual to accommodate our early morning departure.

Unfortunately the much vaunted gourmet dinner service was not available during our stay. Along with another client however,we were referred to an excellent restaurant 4km away. But given the snow and freezing rain and the permissible alcohol levels in France one of us had to be the designated driver and abstain from the local vintage.

Family-like ambient, warm reception, nice dinner, big family appartment.

Regine showed sympathetic understanding to our late arrival caused by snow delays leaving the Alps. Using following the Monte Carlo Rally as an excuse to tour southern France and share my love of the French countryside and Alps with my son and his friend I elected to avoid the usual hotel chains in favor of something more authentic. Domaine Borgnat did not disappoint. Our too brief stay was made extra special by an impromptu tour of the wine "caves" ahead of some informal sampling of the wines and discussion of the Domaine's history. Regine was most considerate of my limited French as she has good English. Her son having worked in the UK has excellent English. Our room offered three beds with en-suite bath/shower overlooking the swimming pool /ice rink (January!) I enjoyed the authentic French charm and learning of the history of the family and the Domaine. Will have to visit in warmer months. May even take the wife! Very affordable! We purchased three cases of wine too!

Nothing other than leaving too quickly! Will have to visit again in the Summer months rather than in the snow!

Excellent - warm and comfortable bedroom. Very helpful and friendly. Rural setting but within reasonable distance to centre of Auxerre. Good wine. Off road private parking. Although the restaurant was closed due to 'Out of Season' we were offered the use of the kitchen.

We were traveling to chatel from London so after 've'we seen a bit Paris we really needed a good sleep and domaine Brorgnat was perfect for that! You can even buy wine from them! I don't recommend you if it's dark outside to go I'm the next village to eat as you can get really lost as they are not on the GPS and nobody speaks English! It was saying there that you can book your dinner and I sent them an email and I even called them to book my dinner but because there weren't author people booked for dinner there was nothing to eat!!!! That was really annoying and we went to eat in the next village and it took us more then 1 hour to find a restaurant and when we finally found unexpected it was a 5* restaurant (wich was awkward) and we paid for a sh...ty diner 70 € but all in all we liked Domains Brorgnat

The setting was in a functioning winery in a small village near Auxerre. Parking was private and safe. The decor and furnishings lent a sophisticated element to an older building. Our first night was in a room on the second floor with a complicated floor plan and steps. The staff was most willing to change our room for the second night. This made our whole visit much nicer. The opportunity to tour the winery, enjoy tasting their wines and then joining other guests for dinner was great fun.

The 5:30 pm check-in time was rather late, even though we were informed via Booking.com on the confirmation e-mail that it would be 3:00 pm. (The check in at 5:30 was only on a Sunday.) We also had received a confirmation from the hostess that the evening meal on Sunday was ok - only to be informed when we arrived that they would not be serving that day. Communication needs some improvements.

We chose this hotel as an overnight stop because it offered wine tasting and a meal on site and we were not disappointed. It was a bit out of the way but was worth the effort. The room was clean and comfortable and was good value for money. We enjoyed the contact with other guests at dinner.

This is a working vineyard and winery. The wine tasting and tour of the cellar was great. The family style farm dinner was very tasty and it was fun to meet people from around the world at the dinner table.

Everything! We were made to feel very welcome and able to relax and enjoy the wine and food. Hope to go back again.

This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel and most of the other guests were also returning visitors, which speaks for itself! A beautiful old building, each room has its own charm and character. All are individual, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Small and friendly, other highlights include a heated outdoor swimming pool, its own wine cellar where you can have a tour and tasting, plus an excellent breakfast with locally baked crusty bread, French pastries and home-made jams. I would also recommend the evening meal. For a small extra cost you can enjoy five courses of simple, traditional French cooking paired with wines from the estate. The meals are also taken ‘chalet style’ sitting with other guests, which is a great way to meet fellow travellers and is often great fun!

The warm welcome and beautiful location. Sitting with people of different nationalities at dinner which works best when everyone speaks enough of the same langauge to get on with each other without there being awkward silences. We were fortunate to sit with a very friendly and interesting group of people. The food and wine was very nice too.

If arriving close to dinner time after a long drive from elsewhere it could be tiring to sit and talk to people but I'm sure if this was the case the hotel would place you at a separate table on request.

very friendly owner and staff. Relaxing location and atmosphere with superb food and a different wine for each course. Situated in a small village this historic building has its own caves for wine production, wine tasting and purchasing. Near to auxerre and chablis, and close to motorway links

It was an old small castle located in the countryside about 2 hours south of Paris. It was decorated with antique looking furnishings and the owners were very hospitable and friendly. It was in a charming small village, had a pretty outdoor pool, a wine cellar and a bike path along a beautiful canal with a place that rented bikes located nearby. I would definitely recommend it and intend to return when I can. Robert B.

Extremely pleasant and friendly staff. Lovely premises. We were in a little house away from the main building, this was perfect for us.

It was very easy to find and there was private parking. We loved the buildings and the swimming pool. Breakfast was very good. The wine tour was really very interesting and the hosts very friendly. Staying in the actual Domaine was lovely. A jug of water and glasses would have been helpful.
