Sylvie was a warm and informative host. We had booked the garden cottage but she offered to upgrade us to two separate bedrooms in the main house. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and prettily decorated and bathrooms were a good size. The country outlook was stunning. Madam Sylvie also promptly and kindly sent my shoes that I left behind back to Australia.
Only negative was that we felt there could have been tea and coffee facilities and perhaps a fridge in the common billiard room.
We really enjoyed our French Chateau experience. The kids really loved the pool and the pool table and table tennis. It was a great place to unwind. We stayed in the gardeners cottage away from the main building, so it was very quiet and secluded. The kitchen in the cottage was great and we used it a lot. Breakfast was delivered to us if we wanted which was nice.
Not much really. Should have stayed longer.
Beautifull location. Atmosphere.
They could offer more than bread and pastry for breakfast. Some fruit would be good.
The nice location and the beautiful decorated room
We spent 5 nights with my wife in Domaine des Bidaudieres, to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. It was really worth it! The quality of the property, the friendly personnel and the magnificent landscape, made this vacation one to remember for life!
Lovely old castle, renovated with all modern comforts. Lovely swimming pool, good breakfast.
It is too far out of town to walk somewhere for dinner and a taxi wanted to charge us 40 euros each way! We ended up riding our bikes (only 10 minutes each way, but not at all what we felt like doing after riding all day!) Maybe it would be a good idea to have some local drivers on hand? The only place in 8 days of cycling to not have somewhere to put bikes.
Friendly staff, heated swimming pool, nicely old-fashioned furnished room. Relax on castle
No restaurant, only small breakfast available.
- beautiful historical property - quiet location - good quality breakfast
- weak wifi signal - spring mattress could have been more comfortable
Beautiful, old chateau, but upgraded with modern comforts. The pool was delightful and having breakfast be included was such a great benefit. The proximity to many wonderful historic sites is excellent but a private car is needed to reach Domains des Bidaudieres
No negatives. We spent two nights and would have stayed longer if we had more time.
A pleasant domaine, a lovely room, discreet and very friendly staff, an uncomplicated stay
the facility was very nice with large room and large bath.
The breakfast was fine and certainly not at level suggested by other reviews. Location was a little out of town and there was not much available for dinner in the town. Instead we made drive to Amboise for dinner. There was limited contact with owners. Would suggest different location with closer dinner options if touring area.
Good base for touring the area. Breakfast bread and pastries excellent.
Fantastic location, lovely host. We stayed in the cottage which was rustic but very comfortable with self catering facilities. We would definitely stay here again.
Wifi was non- existent in cottage and intermittent in house
Very central location for touring part of the Loire Valley. Comfortable, clean and wonderful staff/owners. Will come back.
We stayed in the garden house, which is apart from the main building. This is an excellent choice for families or friends staying together and for those with a longer stay, as it offers the option to prepare food in the house. Charming ambience, and an excellent breakfast was delivered each day.
There is no wifi at all at the garden house, which is okay for getting away from it all but also inconvenient when one needs to look for travel information. The only toilet is on the first floor while the bath/shower is on the top floor, which is also an inconvenience.
The staff was reallt friendly and tried really hard but we had some language difficulties and the resaurant we were rekommended was not good.
I got an allergicreaction in the breakfast room so it has to have been some animal there even though it was a no animals aloud hotel
Beautiful, tasteful decor in a wonderful quiet setting. A superb b and b, more like a hotel in a chateau!
