Great family hotel, friendly staff, quiet location, does require a car to get around however - but with a car everywhere is very easily accessible. Very nice and clean swimming pool. Good, well stocked, kitchenette which we made great use of. Choose this hotel because of facilities, location and rate. Were very happy with it. Underground car park a little bit difficult to get in and out of with a 7 seater people carrier which we rented |

The self-contained suite was excellent, everything a family needs to enjoy a comfortable and value for money stay. Because of it's remote location, I believe this hotel should have a resturant to provide evening meals if guests want them.. |

pool area was generally clean, at night it was fairly quiet and the staff were at all times very pleasant and co-operative. too far from the centre of la rochelle, didn't change bedlinen at all during our 11day stay, had to ask for the room to be cleaned and provided with fresh towels after 2 days of no cleaning service. Domaine du Chateau is not a hotel it is an apartment complex it does not have the facilities of a hotel e.g. there was no restaurant to having an evening meal. Breakfast was unsatisfactory with not enough staff to meet the needs of the customers usually only 1-2 people were available to set tables and replenish bread, coffee etc. |

the appartment was very pleasant, especially the overlarge terrasse where family meals were very enjoyable. Bike rental could have been included in the hotel cost for a better overall value of the stay. The room was not clean on our arrival, we had to wait 20 minutes before accessing the premises. The bathroom garbage was not emptied... |

proximity to La Rochelle the hotel was way overpriced....we were booked for 2 nights and checked out after one night. It felt like we were staying at a construction site. |

The swimming pool area was nice. The decor is so bland inside and out. They need to buy some paint and plants to cheer the place up a bit. The beds are the worst I have ever experienced and a camp bed would hve been better than the one provided! The website states that there is a kitchenette in each room and then the hotel asks you not to use it unless you want to pay extra. |

A warm welcome, excellent parking facility, good breakfast. Room was clean and well equipped. Internet connection was there, but only by (too short) cable or wireless in the reception area. This could be better. |

The swimming pool was excellent and great for unwinding after a days sight seeing. We had a car hired so had no problem getting into the town of La Rochelle in the evenings to eat and wonder around. A very relaxed atmosphere at the Chateau and very friendly staff with good English. Would have liked a kettle in the rooms but that's all that was missing. |

The rooms were very spacious, clean and well furnished. The pool was clean and a good size, including an excellent shallow ramp for younger children. The sun loungers are the most comfortable I've seen in a while. Good location for passing through. It was a shame that there was no restaurant in the hotel, although there are small kitchen areas in some of the rooms which you can use if you ask the hotel in advance, just like a little apartment. |

L'environnement , possibilité de se balader à pieds Il manquait des oreillers. Le bruit du frigo la nuit. Tout est trop haut(micro- onde, télé) il faut presque monter sur une chaise pour prendre son bol (je fais 1.61 m) donc dangereux. On entend les voisins. Pour un 4 étoiles c'est juste, je donnerai 2étoiles Petit dej cher pour ce qu'il y a on trouve mieux dans les" Campanile" |
