In Bellevue Champillon, this luxurious hotel is surrounded by vineyards, just 5 miles from Epernay.

Located 1 km Chatillon-sur-Marne, in the large Marne Valley, Domaine du Moulin de l’Etang is set in an 18th-century building within a 10-hectare park featuring a lake, a river and a furnished terrace....

Ten beds rock hard and very uncomfortable
We had a nice spacious room, excellent restaurant advice, nice tour of the champagne house, privacy, and a protected parking facility. Location was good--close enough to Reims to visit and sightsee without the hustle and bustle of a city.
Liked it all!
the tour of cellars and helpful staff where to dine.
Beautiful ,loverly gardens. Room was fantastic and breakfast was plentiful and fresh. WISH we could have stayed longer.Hope to come back someday.
Tour of champagne cellar under the chateau
No expresso or cappuccino coffee for breakfast just filter, but it is France not Italy !
Sabrina, the hostess of this B&B, is happy to help guests plan their days and make phone calls to arrange meals and tours. Every guest is offered a tour of this champagne house's caves and champagne production facility. The staff is knowledgable and patient. This B&B was more than a traditional B&B. the rooms were lovingly appointed in a very quiet, unspoiled location. The hustle and bustle of the town hums around champagne production and tasting, rather than shops and restaurants. There is easy access to restaurants in nearby villages and in the city of Reims.
The hotel, or rather stately house, is located in the heart of the champagne region of Epernay, peace and quiet is the first thing you notice. Beautiful surroundings, the village of Ludes is a pleasure to discover, the Villa a delight to behold with very attentive staff, opulent décor and the best champagne I've tasted at a very good price!
The rain, which was constant over the three day stay, but that did not detract from the beauty of the place.
Very friendly owners and very helpful. The trip to their cellars under the house we stayed in was really nice. One would never think we are sleeping above so much champagne. Great cheese and croissants and breakfast
Since the house is very old the walls and floors are not sound proof. Breakfast times are very limited only from 8.30 to 9.30.
Absolutely gorgeously appointed Chateau. Very nicely decorated. Wonderful breakfast buffet. We stayed in the Provence room. Really nice room on the third floor. Nice view of the Ludes village and the vineyards. The accommodations were typical of our stay in France. You shower in the bathtub, without a shower curtain, using a shower nozzle at the end of a flexible hose. You need to be careful to keep the floor dry. The wine tour is an absolute must - really nice wine cellars 75 feet down and they make really good champagne. The bed was a bit firm for us, so if that is a concern you need to mention it before hand. They have a nice fridge with champagne and other treats available for purchase. The staff tends to leave the facility shortly after 7:00pm. So they really would like you to check in before that. Otherwise they need to give you special access codes for "-after hours" access. They give you an access code and building keys if you come back to the hotel after hours (ex after dinner). They have restaurant recommendations with their main restaurant about 5-8 km away called "Relais de Sillery". Very nice restaurant that seved us a 3 course meal not including a opening amusement tasting and the mid meal palate cleanser. You can drive to either Reims (pronounced Rawnz) 15 minutes, or Epernay (25 minites) for other really nice dinner experiences. The women that prepares the breakfast and winery tours is really nice. She can be abrupt but we just consider that to be a cultural thing to which Americans need to adapt. Overall we were amazed at our 5 night stay here and will do it again. We would highly recommend it to a friend. It is so much nicer than a hotel as you are staying right in wine country in a Chateau. Very nice indeed!
There were absolutely no negatives
The view from room was magical. Bed comfortable.
The noise between floors is unavoidably loud as its an old house.
Nice and beautyfuld. Big room nice garden
Beautiful, romantic venue. Relaxed.
Peaceful and gracious house with helpful hosts.
Pity no restaurant within walking distance.
A beautiful house and location. Warmly welcomed. Excellent facilities. Well furnished and very comfortable. Faultless breakfast. Excellent vale for money.
Beautiful location, ideal for visiting champagne houses and surrounding area. Quiet and relaxing.
Very uncomfortable bed. Extremely hard mattress.
Loved the homely atmosphere, the decor and where it was situated in the Champagne area. Will definitely be using it again.
Friendly staff, good breakfast ,and a great free tour of the champagne production with a tasting afterwards.overall a very enjoyable stay.
Four girlfriends travelling together enjoyed the accomodations, the ambiance of the property in the Champagne region, the host, the location, and... the champagne! We appreciated the tour of the caves and facilities after our overnight stay! I will return in late September with friends ! I am becoming the "pied piper" of France wine country with my friends...cannot get enough of France !
Nothing to not like !
Very good Champagne and free champagne degustation
There were no shampooing, hair balm & body lotion:((( the building is on a narrow street.
The champagne (which was excellent and at a reasonable price),the setting and the garden. The helpful staff.
Uncomfortable bed in the Provence room
Wonderful location. Big rooms.
Small short beds. No personel. No terrace chairs. Veryvsimple breakfast
Can truly recommend this place! Had the savanne room and it was very spacious and relaxing with a nice tub and view over the property. Good value for the money with included breakfast and a tour with complimentary champagne tasting. The only downside is that there are no restaurants in the area so you have to go in to Reims. Reims is however well worth the trip. It's a wonderful and romantic town with an enormous cathedral bigger and more beautiful than Notre Dame in Paris. In Reims a restaurant that we can recommend is: Le Pré Champenois mentioned in the michelin guide, a dinner for two with dessert and wine ended up at a bargain of only 90 eur.
The spacious bedroom and bath
All those stairs with a heavy suitcase
lovely chateau, well located for champagne region. Excellent tour
location; quaint, comfortable, well-maintained accommodation; close to champagne houses & tasting rooms; good breakfast
while hostess is very efficient, we found her to be very abrupt & inflexible, e.g.: 1) I had booked 2 rooms & provided names for each; nevertheless, at checkout, she provided one bill & refused to separate the charges by room; 2) At breakfast, she reprimanded us for helping ourselves to bread / croissants from both baskets she had put on the table in front of us. We were sitting across from our friends of 40 years & are very comfortable with sharing with one another. It is not like we were with strangers. She made sure to tell us we were "allowed" only one croissant each! 3) We all had trouble figuring out the shower mechanism. Rather than "offering" to show our friends when they asked about it, she rudely told them "it works!".
