Domaine De La Tortinière  

The environment, the friendly reception, the food, the scenery... Also the location is good (not far from several chateaux that we visited: Azay le Ridau, Ussé...

We stayed only one night during winter so I can't say anything about the pool, for instance.

Wonderfully relaxing . a great place to unwind. Both restaurant and staff superb,I would definately return but be aware if booking a taxi especially on a Sunday, they doubled the price back to Tours!

The hotel is a little castel very charming. Our room was very cozy, despite the separate wc too small. Outstanding staff, especially Sandrine, a portuguese who helped us with our orders in the restaurant. The food and the service were awsome. Unfortunately our stay was too short. Highly recommended!

This was a beautiful hotel. The staff was outstanding. They upgraded our room free of charge. It was well worth going out of our budget to stay in this extraordinary place. Very peaceful. It was fastastic.

Gorgeous setting, very tranquil. Loved all the cyclamens in flower up the long drive.

Generally the hotel lacked some attention to detail - eg even on gorgeous sunny days no-one put the mattresses out on the sunbed. On the four days we were there no-one tidied the pool area, or removed the leaves etc from the pool surface. Things I would expect as basic/standard from a hotel like this.

Absolutely gorgeous property. Beautiful chateau. Charming. Feels authentic. Feels remote and peaceful, yet perfect location for visiting the Loire valley. Wonderful staff and service. Lovely restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was such a wonderful surprise.

The food and the service at Domaine de la Tortiniere was excellent. It is a wonderful spot for families-they have the pool and little toys in the yard and there are lots of places to run around and have fun. As a couple traveling alone was more looking for romance. The location is romantic (but it is close to the highway and there is a little traffic noise if you are very sensitive to that-I am but it wasn't terrible). The rooms are clean and comfy but again, better suited for older people or families...not what I would classify as romantic. Memorable for everything but the room.

Beautiful chateau, with huge grounds, great views over the countryside, and an excellent pool.

Breakfast and dining are both relatively expensive.

The beautiful situation and style of the hotel was immediately endearing. Staff were charming and helpful. We did not use the restaurant choosing, instead, to travel into town as we had already eaten in hotels on the three previous nights. However, we shall definitely use Domaine de la Tortiniere for a stopover next year and make a point of sampling their cuisine.

Just one small niggle. While the bathroom and, indeed, the bedroom and sitting room were excellent, the separate WC was built into a tiny corner and was very cramped. Not to be recommended for anyone with a disability!

Llegamos de noche y nos costó un poco encontrar el Castillo, por lo que mejoraría las indicaciones de llegada.

Hotel muito charmoso e aconchegante, silencioso. Os funcionários são extremamente solícitos e gentis. O restaurante é muito bom, sofisticado. Uma bela paisagem.
