Boat rides on the Charente River can be organised and offer a new way of experiencing the region.
You can visit the cognac cellars, the Charente countryside and its vineyards and typical villages.
Cognac is only an hour’s drive from some of the most beautiful beaches of the Charente-Maritime region.
The islands of Ré and Oléron, La Rochelle and its old port, and Rochefort and the Chantier de l’Hermione where you can see General's Lafayette frigate being rebuilt are also an hour’s drive from the Domaine.

Dinner was excellent. Breakfast wasnt served till 8am, whoch meant we couldnt make an early start. The door was locked at 2pm when we arrived, and Madame (on intercom) said wehad to come back at 3pm so we couldnt unload our bags from the car before heading into Cognac for the afternoon. |

We like our room, it was spacious enough with many windows. The view was above expectations. Also we liked the swimming pool and the park. It was fun to taste the cognac that was produced at the property! The pool was closed last day of our stay. It was disappointing for our son. |

The owners try to keep the atmosphere of the old estate. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and very comfortable. It is very good located and view from the room is magnificent. The house cognac is worth to test. |

The staff were amazing and bent over backwards to help my stay be as relaxed as possible - I was there alone with my 10 month old baby and they let us into our room early and offered me a late check out in order to fit in with her naps. |

the peace and quite the atmosphere the pool was well needed as it was hot. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. The food was first class. The service was excellent. The owners were very friendly. The location was great and the building was decorated in a classic style right for it's age. other guests were a bit noisy and the rooms not soundproofed |

The setting of the hotel was beautiful, with views over unspoliled countryside and extensive grounds. There was a new infinity swimming pool. The owners were friendly and helpful and the hotel restaurant served high quality food.There was a comfortable lounge and bar as well as the dining room. We liked everything about the hotel. As we did not have a car the mile walk into Cognac was pleasant on the way in but it was too far to stroll to other restaurants and bars in the evening. However well worth the slight inconvenience of being out of town for the beauty of the country setting. |

The site is great. We wanted a nice hotel in a quiet area and we got it. It has a swimming pool and a big garden allowing us to have nice and romantic walks. For those who like Cognac, I tried the Cognac brewed from a neighbour factory and the experience was great. |

L'endroi et le calme. Le restaurant gastronomique proposé dans votre offre est fermé le dimanche et nous avons logé chez eux le dimanche. Pas de chance pour nous de pouvoir déguster les menus considérés dans les meilleurs de la région. Ce point devrait être signalé dans l'offre que vous faites aux clients.. |

Het uitzicht was mooi, de (bad)kamer schoon, de bedden comfortabel, het ontbijt prima, het diner was heerlijk en er werd lekkere wijn geschonken. De bar was gezellig en goed gevuld. De tuin is prachtig. De service was prima met gebruik van fietsen en een goed advies voor de dag dat het restaurant in het hotel niet open was. Perfect rustpunt bij het bezoeken van Domaines de Cognac in de omgeving, en er werd een lekkere pineau geschonken van eigen huis. Ik zou liever dekbedden hebben dan de dekens op de bedden. |

ce qui est agréable c'est le calme de l'endroit ainsi que la piscine à disposition. les chambres ne sont pas trés grandes et le confort est moyen. Pour une nuit c'est tout a fait bien. |

le domaine autour de l'hôtel est vraiment très agréable pour les promenades; nous n'avons pas testé la piscine mais elle offre un cadre très appréciable. La tranquilité. la chambre était un peu exiguë. |

Het ontbijt was redelijk voor Franse begrippen, mooi zwembad, grote tuin, mooi uitzicht Wij kwamen rond 15.00uur in de middag aan, er was geen eten. Ook geen broodje. Op zondag is het restaurant gesloten, dat was oké. Maar na in de stad te hebben gegegen wilden we nog even op het terras zitten. Dit was niet de bedoeling, was een familie etentje !?! Verder een bevestiging gekregen dat de kosten € 72,= waren. Een week voordat we ernaar toe gingen een mail dat het we min of meer verplicht waren te upgraden naar een grotere kamer, € 90,=. Verder in alle opzichten vergane glorie. |
