This hotel is conveniently placed near Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est train stations. All the soundproofed rooms were refurbished in 2007, and some boast a view of the Eiffel Tower.

Water dripping through the bathroom ceiling constantly but didn't bother to complain.
Room was small but clean, bed comfortable and it was quiet. Shower and towels etc fine.
Location was good, 5 min. walk from Gare de l'Est, mattress was good, breakfast was ok, but on one day it ran out and we had to go somewhere else for breakfast
Water on the bathroom floor was not tidied, broken toilet lid was not fixed, missing light on the hotel corridor in the 2nd floor was not fixed, they just did not care about our queries
Hotel was generally maintained very poorly, unclean everywhere! Stained dirty sheets!
Just a constructive critic: The room needs tea & coffee facilities.
The watchdog at night was a little intimidating.
tidiness poor dog so annoying poor bedding and towels dirty stairs bad state of hygiene
Most things. The toilet seat was resting on the lavatory bowl but was not fitted. There was one small towel in the bathroom. There was no socket for an electric shaver. The bed was only just comfortable enough.
Close to the train station
Room was bare , not the cleanest hotel.
Local boulangeries/patisseries, cafes, grocery stores were less expensive than those closer to the Seine. It's an up close look at people of diverse national origin all speaking French and encouraging the visitor to but also familiar w/ English to some extent, going about their everyday lives.
lack of fan and fridge (would have traded the TV for either), but that's the nature of 2 stars.
We had a triple room, but there were only two small towels. I enquired at the reception for more towels but was told there were none available in the hotel. Receptionist was embarrassed and said it was always like this. So if the owner is reading this I would seriously recommend they get their wallet out and buy some more towels. Absolutely disgusting situation!!!
Close to Gare du Nord (walking distance with luggage) but quiet street. The bed was very comfortable
The shower curtain - bathroom is small and needs improvement in practicalities. Very small lift with room for 2 bags and one person only but better than carrying bags upstairs.
The things I liked seem to be uncommon for most guests and I think I lucked out. I've read many reviews saying that the showers had no hot water and that the premises were dirty. My room (which I changed about 5 times upon arrival until I could find one with wi-fi) was reasonably clean and my I had no problems getting hot water in the shower. I didn't spend much time there during the day, so I can't say how great their food is. I pretty much only used the room to shower and to sleep. The place was a good deal for what I was looking for. I needed a cheap place to sleep in for three nights and I got that here for the price of 187 euros. If you're expecting a five-star experience, this won't be for you. If you're just looking for an okay room to sleep in, this will do fine.
The place had a strange and sketchy atmosphere, and I admit that when I first arrived, I almost cancelled my reservation, but I had nowhere to go and was carrying a ton of luggage so I decided to stick it our for at least one night. First of all, as you leave the lobby and go up the stairs, the place starts looking more like an apartment building than a hotel, if that makes sense. All of the hallways are extremely dark because the lights are always off and it makes you feel like you're in a horror movie. I kept having to turn on the lights as I walked. There is also wi-fi only in the lobby or in certain rooms on the first floor. I told the woman at reception that I needed a room with wi-fi to work a bit and she gave me keys to a bunch of different rooms to try my computer in. As I went through all the rooms, I got the sense that the hotel was pretty much empty except for me and one other woman. The placement of the elevators is odd as well. They land in the middle of the stairs between floors (so instead of stopping directly on the third floor, it lands on the stairs in the middle of the second and third), so you'll have to lug your luggage up some stairs even if you take the lift. I also really hated that the pillows on the bed didn't have pillowcases, as the pillows themselves seemed awfully dirty. The pillowcases in my closet seemed questionable as to how clean they were. In the end I chose to just sleep on top of the bed covers without any pillows.
Attacked on two occasions by the front desk dog!! Remove this hotel from suggested list in Paris!!!
I was allowed early check-in to keep my luggage and also after check-out I was allowed to keep my luggage till evening and as it was close to Gare-de nord station, it really helped to go around paris with my children and on my return I just pick up my luggage and boarded thaly's train to Brussels. Without the help from hotel staff to keep my luggage , my paris trip wouldn't be comfortable carrying my luggage.
The room bathroom door cannot be locked as there is not bolt to do so. this really didn't bother much as were family. During night/evening time, there is temporary staff who's job is just to hand over the keys to the room on arrival and cannot expect any other help and person keeps repeating -- I am sorry, excuse me whatever we ask for .
WIFI (only in reception)
Faulty elevator Very uncomfortable bedding Pillows shocking Small bathrooms Forgot our breakfast first morning Breakfast not worth the money
The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were allowed into our rooms before noon. The price was great. The location was very convenient to the trains at Gare du Nord. The rooms were very clean.
The rooms were small, but to be expected with the price. The neighborhood felt a little rough if I had been a woman traveling alone at night.
Most of the personnel were very friendly and helpful.
The building is rather outdated, needs renovation. The room was quite small, but the toilet and shower were really really small, it all got wet as you showered.
Near Gare du Nurd
The room is small specially the bathroom. Facilities poor. For what I paid I expect a littl bit better. Won't really recommend.
The staff is very helpful.
To access the rooms its necessary climb the stairs to take the elevator, cause the elevator is between floors!
Thé y gave me a room of four because it was the Last one, so i had enough Space.
-Bathroom floor was full of water -there was no shuttle for airport -there was no invoice after payment due to the dog !!!!! (They told me....) -to reach the elevator, you have to climb half a floor and when you reach your selected floor, you have to climb another half. So finally you have to climb one floor plus elevator to reach your room. - pillow do not have any pillowcase -some hair in the bed
I was refused a room despite guaranteed reservation
close to the metro
congested. not at all value for money
- Rooms are clean enough
- Their staff are unbelievable! - They have charged me twice! once during check out and once from my master card and they do not answer me anymore, and now only booking.com is helping me to give the money back. - When we were checking in They gave us the keys to someone else's room! - Not having shampoo or towels and hairdryer all the time is OK! but they didn't have toilet paper the last night we were there! - They treat their dog really bad! - and I can go on ...
Elevator broken Staircase dirty and dusty No toilet in the bathroom Pillows wet and smelly
Staff were really friendly.
The lift was out of action and we were on the sixth floor! I had an 18 month old to carry up the stairs and an 8 year old. When we got up there was no bed for the children but we couldn't face going back down and up the stairs again so all crammed into one bed. The Alsatian dog growled and lunged at my 8 year old. I dread to think what could have happened if there was not a glass door in between them.
