Provided the cot bed for my little baby, not too noisy at night and very close to the metro station, it's very good value for paying not too much money :)
Close to Gare du Nord
Lift is not on same floor as rooms so some step required. Bedroom had not been properly cleaned. Noisy from metro trains and other guests.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Perfect location. I will book again.
You should expect minor defects of equipment and furniture - it's quite old. The bed was confortable but a little bit short for tall people.
the staff were very helpful
i did not like the room as the smile was not nice
convenient location value for money
need lot of improvement-some of the refurbishment was going on at the moment we stayed with lot of improvement the hotel could become good place to stay
For a hotel which only claims one star this was entirely adequate for a single person on an overnight stay.
Someone in charge who didn't appear to speak either English or French.
Location near train stations toilet/showerroom in the room affordable
tiny elevator not overly clean
Very, very good service, polite and welcomming
location was kind of dangerous... not so close to Gare du Nord station and easy to get lost..
I was Debited 48euros two times for the one night I stayed.I was charge twice.pls refund back my 48euros back to my account
Location, 3 minutes walk from Gare du Nord. Clean, comfortable, great value. This is not a smart hotel, but nor is the price. I would / will book again. Probably not the place for a romantic weekend stay in Paris, but for a low budget business trip absolutely fine.
No lift / elevator, but no big deal for me anyway.
dirty noisy poor service expensive for what it provides to customers
Water dripping through the bathroom ceiling constantly but didn't bother to complain.
Room was small but clean, bed comfortable and it was quiet. Shower and towels etc fine.
Location was good, 5 min. walk from Gare de l'Est, mattress was good, breakfast was ok, but on one day it ran out and we had to go somewhere else for breakfast
Water on the bathroom floor was not tidied, broken toilet lid was not fixed, missing light on the hotel corridor in the 2nd floor was not fixed, they just did not care about our queries
Hotel was generally maintained very poorly, unclean everywhere! Stained dirty sheets!
Just a constructive critic: The room needs tea & coffee facilities.
The watchdog at night was a little intimidating.
tidiness poor dog so annoying poor bedding and towels dirty stairs bad state of hygiene
Most things. The toilet seat was resting on the lavatory bowl but was not fitted. There was one small towel in the bathroom. There was no socket for an electric shaver. The bed was only just comfortable enough.
Close to the train station
Room was bare , not the cleanest hotel.
Local boulangeries/patisseries, cafes, grocery stores were less expensive than those closer to the Seine. It's an up close look at people of diverse national origin all speaking French and encouraging the visitor to but also familiar w/ English to some extent, going about their everyday lives.
lack of fan and fridge (would have traded the TV for either), but that's the nature of 2 stars.
We had a triple room, but there were only two small towels. I enquired at the reception for more towels but was told there were none available in the hotel. Receptionist was embarrassed and said it was always like this. So if the owner is reading this I would seriously recommend they get their wallet out and buy some more towels. Absolutely disgusting situation!!!
Close to Gare du Nord (walking distance with luggage) but quiet street. The bed was very comfortable
The shower curtain - bathroom is small and needs improvement in practicalities. Very small lift with room for 2 bags and one person only but better than carrying bags upstairs.
The things I liked seem to be uncommon for most guests and I think I lucked out. I've read many reviews saying that the showers had no hot water and that the premises were dirty. My room (which I changed about 5 times upon arrival until I could find one with wi-fi) was reasonably clean and my I had no problems getting hot water in the shower. I didn't spend much time there during the day, so I can't say how great their food is. I pretty much only used the room to shower and to sleep. The place was a good deal for what I was looking for. I needed a cheap place to sleep in for three nights and I got that here for the price of 187 euros. If you're expecting a five-star experience, this won't be for you. If you're just looking for an okay room to sleep in, this will do fine.
The place had a strange and sketchy atmosphere, and I admit that when I first arrived, I almost cancelled my reservation, but I had nowhere to go and was carrying a ton of luggage so I decided to stick it our for at least one night. First of all, as you leave the lobby and go up the stairs, the place starts looking more like an apartment building than a hotel, if that makes sense. All of the hallways are extremely dark because the lights are always off and it makes you feel like you're in a horror movie. I kept having to turn on the lights as I walked. There is also wi-fi only in the lobby or in certain rooms on the first floor. I told the woman at reception that I needed a room with wi-fi to work a bit and she gave me keys to a bunch of different rooms to try my computer in. As I went through all the rooms, I got the sense that the hotel was pretty much empty except for me and one other woman. The placement of the elevators is odd as well. They land in the middle of the stairs between floors (so instead of stopping directly on the third floor, it lands on the stairs in the middle of the second and third), so you'll have to lug your luggage up some stairs even if you take the lift. I also really hated that the pillows on the bed didn't have pillowcases, as the pillows themselves seemed awfully dirty. The pillowcases in my closet seemed questionable as to how clean they were. In the end I chose to just sleep on top of the bed covers without any pillows.
Attacked on two occasions by the front desk dog!! Remove this hotel from suggested list in Paris!!!
