Around 15 minutes amble from the rail station. Very central to Metz and plenty to explore and be entertained by in and around the three squares the town appears to have. Need something nearer the rail station ? Then consider the ibis hotel which you can see from the station's exit. Was there for Sonisphere 2011 and it's worth noting there was a free bus back to Metz station about a mile out of Snowhall Parc, Amneville. Otherwise it was a 58 Euro cab ride. Info correct as of 10th July, 2011. All set to give the hotel 10/10 for the overall ambience, location and welcome when, on my penultimate evening, I was told I could not eat in my room. This was only to have been snacks and nothing hot or malodorous. I only mention this as there may be a weird byelaw or hotel rule that may be punishable by extra fees. The hotel doesn't offer evening meals or even have a vending machine so it seemed a little extreme. So, they get a 6/10.

We liked the family room with beams. It was small, but charming, the kind of room I particularly appreciate. We also had a nice chat with the front desk manager. We were a father and two adult children. It was not clear to me why the hotel was reluctant to prefer to rent the room to a family with small children. The room had a large bed and a small bed and worked very well for our family. I recommend you loosen up your requirements for family rooms.

I was nicely surprised, for this price I have expected something dodgy, but it was neat, clean and welcoming place. Breakfast was typical french: croissant and baguette with butter, honey and jams, nothing salty. Location was great. Issue with the breakfast, as we booked the room for 2 people and rate was including breakfast, so we expected to get breakfast for 2 people, but were told breakfast was prepaid for only 1 person per room..

Location near all of fussganger zone...restaurants and shops right outside the door of hotel. Windows shut and you could not hear street noise. Room size was large for France. Parking arrangements. Hotel is in the fussganger zone. Have to drive thru people and diners to get to parking garage. All day parking was 11 euro. The toilet and sink/shower were in two different rooms. TV was located behind the bathroom door, so always had to keep bathroom door shut. Beds were too firm for our taste.

Les chambres du 3e étage spacieuses, confortables, propres. Beaucoup de charme. Pour les chambres du 3e étage, sans ascenseur, cela pose un réel problème si les clients ont des problèmes cardiaques. Ce qui pourrait sembler un détail, et qui n'en est pas un, n'est indiqué nulle part, ni dans le Routard, ni dans la réservation par booking.com. Il serait judicieux et honnête de le mentionner.

Il n'y avait pas d'ascenseur.Je pouvais choisir entre une chambre mansardée au troisième étage ou une au premier étage. J'ai préférée la mansarde pour son charme et son espace. Petit-déjeuner moyen. Parking: L'hôtel possèderait 5 places de parking dans un parking souterrain proche, mais elles étaient occupées. Il a fallu se rabattre sur un des nombreux parking de la ville avec laquelle un grand nombre d'hôtels ont passés des accords pour faire bénéficier leurs clients de tarifs réduits. Ce qui n'était pas le cas de notre hôtel et donc nous avons payé plein pot.

En plein centre ville, l'hôtel du centre offre, pour une famille de 4, un rapport qualité /prix, très intéressant. Le calme et le service furent à la hauteur de nos attentes La salle de bain était un peu petite.

En pleine ville, rue piétonne, chambre bien chauffée, calme pour notre chambre donnant sur la rue. Lit très bon. Décor classique, un peu vieillot, en rapport avec le bâtiment qui est ancien. Escalier en colimaçon qui a tendance à pencher... Accueil sympa. Toutes les infos sur la ville à l'accueil. Très bon petit déjeuner. Des jeunes qui font un peu trop de bruit dans la rue donnant vers la chambre de nos jeunes (sur le coté).

Hôtel à déconseiller formellement. Nuit blanche assuree .... Endroit tres tres bruyant (bar situé sous les fenêtres de l'hôtel avec musique "techno" de 21h00 à 5h30 !!) Même discours, au moment du déjeuner, pour tous les résidents de cet hôtel qui se sont plaints auprès de l'hôtelier qui était au courant !!!!

Sa situation et son accueil Chambre très agréable ...mais à 73 ans être au 3ème étage au dessus de l'accueil....100 marches pour y parvenir (3 fois par jour = 600 marches après les visites de musées!!!)
