The location was perfect (metro line nearby, taking you directly to the heart of Paris); the surrounding area is very nice - Vincennes is a charming place - there is the Chateau, the Parc Floral de Paris, etc. to stroll around...the hotel was very well managed and the reception staff was politely and efficiently responding to requests; cleanliness of room was good..the provision of toilet amenities was a good thing..the possibility to leave your car at a nearby parking at no big cost is another plus... In general, a hotel worth recommending to anyone who wants to be close enough to Paris for all its tourist sights, and far enough to enjoy a more peaceful/natural and not so expensive setting!
The room was small, but it was not such a big problem...the lack of a lift was somewhat of a problem, however.... As far as breakfast is concerned, there was not much choice, but it was still tasty and relative to the price...The coffee was actually not very good /too weak -looked/tasted more like tea/, but that's a 'hotel coffee', after all....
- there are streets nearby (3 minutes by feet) with free parking, although spaces are limited. - landmark view from the room 34 (Standard Double Room) is amazing
-Car parking should be reserved 4 days before arrival -Earplugs are needed. because the landmark is across the road. So you cannot have quiet room and the view at the same time.
conveniently located near a metro stop, very clean and comfortable. the quad room worked out great for our family. staff friendly and speak fluent English. we didn't purchase breakfast but it looked like a good value for the price.
-5 minute walk to Metro -20 minutes or less to main attractions in Paris -friendly, helpful staff who go out of their way to make stay comfortable -WIFI in room -room was clean upon arrival and was cleaned daily with new towels provided
-no A/C. We had to sleep with windows open, which led to alot of street noise.
situated within 1 minute to metro station, 5 stops to The Louve and about 5 minutes. Good local bars and restaurants under hotel and in the street. it appears to be a very safe area to be
Bed was confortable, very friendly staff at the reception
Breakfast was served in the reception area instead of a restaurant. There was no elevator and i had to take the stares all the way up with my heavy lugage. Hotel situated on a very noisy street.
Location Quadruple room option Friendly Staff Choice of restaurants nearby Proximity to Metro
Noisy stairs and no lift Small rooms Breakfast was a bit limited
Easy to drive to. Right next to metro. Nice location by castle. Nice little area.
Well located and near the Castle Quiet Historical decoration Nice bed Air fan Furnitures in the bathroom
This is a great hotel if you want to stay near Paris center but not pay the outrageous prices. It is VERY close to the metro and you can be in Paris in 15 minutes. It is also right across the road from the Vincennes Castle. The rooms and bath are small, but we were only there to sleep so it was perfect for that purpose. The staff were all VERY friendly and the breakfast was good. We had a car and the parking situation was perfect, just around the corner at the Esso garage (note it is closed from 10p-7a). Also there is a laundry mat just a few doors down from the hotel that opened early....very convenient to wash a few loads for our family of 4! Overall, great experience!
Our window opened up just above the back door of a restaurant so it was a bit noisy during the night with staff in and out. Not a huge deal as we were so tired from our long hours of sight-seeing, but a bit aggravating during the night.
We requested a first floor room and was given a room on the top floor! (lots and lots of spiral stairs to climb). We booked on-line through you and gave debit card to secure booking on the understanding that we were to pay bill on departure, however had to pay 200 euro's as depositon arrival. It appears they were attempting to take the equivalent of £96.00 as security from my card.
just behind the Castle it´s possible to park for free. great Hotel, great area. 1min from the Underground. we always return.
Awesome location, very close to Metro, right across the street from the Chateau du Vincennes. Very helpful staff
Extremely small rooms, but very well maintained.
Clean, simple, friendly staff, lovely neirborghood
No air condition, no lift
Very helpful staff Charming hotel
Cosy hotell, nice look of the rooms, good beds. The atmosphere, very nice location.
Very small rooms and bathroom. Steep stairs.
The bathroom had good ventilation and hot water.
The end tables were not functional. There was no lift and navigating the stairs with luggage was difficult.
A very warm and cozy 'medieval style' hotel where you feel comfortable and welcome from the first moment. The location of the hotel is perfect, with a very nice view to the castle and lots of parking spots in the vicinity. The staff was very friendly and helpful, we could even choose the room of our preference upon our arrival. You have to try the authentic French croissant served for breakfast. Definitely recommended :)
If I really want to look for something negative I could say that the toilet was small and there was no elevator in the building. But let's just keep the first one and regard the second as a chance for some exercise :)
The hotel was very centrally located in Vincennes, near shops and restaurants. We enjoyed visiting the castle (across the street) as well as the outdoor market on Sunday.
It is really a great option to stay if you need to save some money on residence in Paris, as it is an expensive city. Hotel is close to metro station with supermarket and number of restaurants in the street beside.
Traffic noise in morning. Its the only negative thing.
Friendly staff; excellent value breakfast; hotel charm
Street outside was a bit noisy; no lift which wasn't a problem for us but could be for elderly travellers as we were on third floor up spiral staircase.
