Brilliant quirky decor Great location Brilliant, friendly and helpful staff Honest bar is a great concept
Two single beds together to create a double room for €289 per night was terrible
Great beds ..nice decor. /excellent reception staff
Double room very small and bathroom tiny. Twin room much more spacious but 30 Euros more.
Love the decor of this wonderful little gem of a hotel. The rooms are cozy, but every detail is considered and well planned. The look is trendy, good looking and fun, the design is functional and most importantly comfortable. I wanted to take the bed home! The location is excellent. The staff, extremely patient and helpful. Enjoyed a great stay!
Very good price value (with August discounts) Staff very helpful Nice breakfast served in room
Convenient location for many Paris sights, museums and restaurants. Friendly staff, always willing to share information. The hotel room, while small, was nicely decorated and very clean. Great place to stay if you will be out all day, and come back to shower and sleep! Again, this is a city hotel, not a resort, good value for what it is.
As in many major cities, hotel rooms are either very small, far out of the city center, or extremely expensive. This Is a small boutique hotel and has small standard rooms. Much larger rooms are around the corner at the Westin or the Mandarin Oriental, and soon the Ritz currently being remodeled, but THE PRICE!
The hotel was very clean and beautiful decor in rooms, WiFi worked brilliantly. Great location.
Upon making my reservation I requested a iron to be ready in my room upon arrival. The iron was firstly not in the room upon arrival. I eventually had to come down to reception myself to get the iron + iron boarding. Later that day they called and asked for the iron back. I said that was fine but will need it back first thing in the morning. This was also another hassle as I could not get it straight away. When I did received the iron it was continuously leaking water. The situation with the iron was just another hassle after the other, though I had organised via email for it to be in use upon arrival. This is something very small that could be easily resolved or maybe have more irons/ ironing board in the hotel if not maybe not advertise the faculties on the website. - The ironing board was also very unpractical to use. Also a relative that booked the same room category received a room that was a lot smaller in size and the bathroom was down a flight of stairs which was rather inconvenient. The bathroom seemed to be bigger than the room itself.
The location and design were very cool. Staff were very friendly and tried to help. Free Wi-fi access was excellent.
The AC in my room just blew the hot air around (much of which was being produced by the lukewarm minibar in the wardrobe). There was also a heavy smell of mildew so I ended up leaving the window open most of the time.
Very clean hotel with an excellent location just 2 min walk from the Place de la Concorde. Very helpful staff, small but nice rooms, breakfast ok. Will definitely us this hotel again - much better standard than many other parisian 3 star hotels. Free wifi is a plus!
The hotel is beautiful. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and breakfast was good.
The location, the location and the location. For the price, it was adequate...at least by Paris standards.
We had room 18. The bathroom is underneath the room...19 steps down narrow curving steps. Not great to navigate at night. It was "the only room left" we were told. Because of the position of the bed, you had to throw your suitcases on the bed because the door couldn't open far enough to pass the suitcases in. The 8 inches between the end of the bed and the wall weren't enough. Don't get room 18 unless like hiking to and climbing out of the bathroom!
Super, excellent location, helpful staff, lovely hotel :)) thank you
It's within walking distance to many main tourist attractions and it's on a narrow street with quite a few nice restaurants. There is a French with very friend staff, which I regrettably forgot its name.
I am a petite Asian female and have been staying in many small rooms all over Europe. Even so, I still find the single room here way too small. I think that is the reason for its reasonably low price in prime location. It is also the first time I tried to stay in a hotel not reachable by Les Cars. I think I should have sticked to my old habit.
Excellent Location and clean hotel
Location was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel was very clean, with imaginative interior design. It was situated on a reasonably quiet street, only a short walk to subway and lots of major attractions. Plenty of restaurants close by. I would recommend L'Ardoise which is next door.
It is quite expensive with very few facilities. There was no mirror in the bedroom, which is a basic recquirement. We booked a twin room which was extra and it was so small that there was no space between the beds. The tariff for this room was E248 per night not including breakfast You are definitely paying for the location..
The room was very small but the decor was unique.
The breakfast was very, very basic.
The rooms are nice and clean and the interior design is colourful and cheerful. Excellent location and friendly and helpful staff.
Single room tiny and since window was opening to the inner court, it was noisy and not very bright. So definitely ask for a room to the front as the little road is calm and traffic won't cause any problems. 150 euros a night was a lot of money for what it is though.
Very central location for museums, shopping and metro and always taxis around the corner.
would have liked a kettle in the room but you can always ask downstairs for tea
The site is perfect. 2 blocks from Jardin des Tuileries. A walking distance to many attractions, nice shops, bars and restaurants. Perfect creation of Christian Lacroix.
I loved this hotel.
Wifi was poor. They need more staff.
My room was upgraded upon arrival with no extra charge. The staff was really nice, and the hotel couldn't have had a better location
The room was a bit small but similar to most Paris hotels. Other than that everything was fantastic
We stayed here on the first leg of our honeymoon and returned here on the final leg a month later. The hotel staff were superb and friendly each time. We arrived after 8pm on both occassions and was greated by Hugues. He was welcoming and friendly and even helped us search for restuarants for a late dinner on Easter Sunday. (not many were open). The rooms are small, but very clean and cosy. The bed is very comfortable and I loved the room's wallpaper and theme of the hotel. The location is excellent and in the midst of the attractions. The Lourve is about 10mins walk away through a lovely park. Wifi connection is good, although you need to re-login now and then.
Getting into Paris city - to the hotel from CDG airport is a bit of a hassle via public transport, especially with luggage. The best is to use a taxi, or a shuttle service like http://www.paris-airport-shuttle.com/ both of which should cost around 50 euros. We made the mistake of taking an unmarked cab from the airport when we first landed - which I now think was a private service and charged us 120 euros!!.. So even if they stand at the taxi stand, always make sure its a taxi with a taxi light on top of the car, and ask for the approximate price to where you're going first. Not after you get in. (This has nothing to do with the quality of the hotel, but good to know for other first timers travelling in Europe).
Nice room, quiet. Simple breakfast, just some croisant & butter & jam + coffee & something to drink. Very kind receptionists.
Extremely annoying wifi registration.
Decoration was really funky and fresh. Excellent bathroom and toiletries Really comfy beds Great continental breakfast Really well positioned for the Grands Magasins
On both occasions I have stayed here, check out took too long. The first time I was a business traveller and we asked before breakfast for them to book us a taxi for Gare du Nord. We were assured this would not be a problem, but we ended up having to wait an additional 15 mins after breakfast which was a bit stressful. Note - if you head out to Rue Castiglione, there are dozens of taxis lined up outside the hotels there! On the second check out, the people in front of us wanted to check their itemised bill before paying, and the receptionist was extremely reluctant to do this as she'd have to print out the invoice twice. When it was my turn, we had already paid and when I looked at the invoice, someone else's drinks were on it. The receptionist made a comment that we had agreed the final figure, but how were we to know exactly what it comprised of without seeing an itemised invoice?! Not a great system, and never experienced this anywhere else. Then the card machine didn't work, so we waited for 20 mins, before being told to come back later. Luckily we weren't in a hurry this time.
