Hotel du Cygne    

De kathedraal en omliggende kastelen/klooster en andere gebouwen. Ook de authentieke huizen en mooie gevels bij binnenkomst met de automobiel. Het standbeeld van Jean Hachette.

Het personeel was erg behulpzaam Wisten een parkeerplaats waar de auto gratis geparkeerd stond.Het bed lag heerlijk en het hotel stond midden en het centrum.Ontbijt was prima.

Toen we op de kamer kwamen stonk het muf en verder zat er geen deur in de badkamer. Gelukkig was het een douche cabine. Verder zijn we niet veel eisend, willen we iets echt goed hebben moeten we een duurde hotel zoeken.Het was ook erg gehorig, we hoorden de boven buren lopen..Ach je was toch alleen 's avonds aanwezig.

De ligging was goed.

De kamers waren schoon, maar behoorlijk verouderd, de bedden doorgezakt en er was geen lift naar de 3de verdieping, wat nogal een klim was met bagage.

Prima verhouding prijs/kwaliteit.

Wat ik al vermeld heb. Verder, ik ben in de 70 en zat op de derde etage; miste wel een lift. Bij aankomst heeft de receptionist mijn koffer naar boven gedragen maar terug moest ik het zelf doen.

Een goed en centraal gelegen hotel.

Geen parkeerplaats in de nabijheid.

Prima echt authentiek Frans hotel, mooie ruime kamers, centrale ligging aan een winkelstraat (wel zelf parkeerplek regelen)

Geen idee, zelf geen ontbijt genomen dus dat weet ik niet..

Goed als individuele reiziger. Zelf/persoonlijk, heb ik geen negatieve opmerkingen. Het was een goed verblijf.

Ik kan me voorstellen dat een echtpaar of jong gezien moeite zou hebben met de relatief kleine ruimtye in de badkamer.

Management could be reached at off hours

The location is very good, just outside the door and your in the heart of the town.

We stayed on two occasions, Monday night and then the following Saturday night and we had room 19 on both occasions. The rooms is quite nice and clean, however the shower head was defective and had to be hand held during use. There was also some strange noise from above the room on the first night of the stay, (but not the second), it sounded like a dog tied to a long lead which was being dragged about!! Security is quite poor, all the room keys have to be put onto a peg board which is outside of the reception room, it’s on the stairway wall and can be accessed by anyone as it’s obvious your not in your room when your key is on the board, therefore anyone can get into it. My email confirmation from Booking.com said that reception was closed from 13:00 until 16:00 on Saturday so as we needed access to our room in the afternoon we made sure we were there before 13:00. We were actually there at 12:33 and the hotel was closed and a make shift sign had been put on the door saying reception was now closed. This put us out considerably as we had to wait for over 4 hours to be able to access our room and had to sit on a bench with our luggage, thankfully it wasn’t raining. The young woman on reception was completely unhelpful and uncaring; she is perhaps in the wrong line of work. Finally there is no provision for storage of luggage after you exit your room. I personally would have thought that as the only flight to the UK leaves at 22:55 this provision would be available, even for a small charge. Finally don’t trust the local taxi drivers, we took a cab from the airport and he took 15 minutes to get us to the hotel, he took us onto an auto route and charged 11 euros. I was out running and saw the airport, I did a short detour to the airport departure lounge and my GPS had the distance as being 2.

Staff were very friendly (although spoke limited English), provided us with everything we needed for our 8 month old including cot (10 euro) baby bath, highchair and food warmer. Excellent location for exploring the town and for the airport.

We were near the top so quite a few stairs and no lift but they had an area where we could store the buggy at ground level.

Good position

Plastic basin in bathroom. Shower rose that would not stay up. Exceptionally creaky floors - a small amount is ok - but not to this extent. I will do all I can to avoid Beauvais in future. Places there are far too expensive for what you get. They are obviously expecting to reap big returns from the Airport.

Bathroom covered in mould. Expensive - typical French 2* - in need of renovation.

The room was very clean and cosy, the staff very friendly. The room exceeded my expectations for the money I paid.

Location was in the middle of town. Not a chain, so nice details in the room. Although not modern, it was obviously cared for.

Not a criticism, but no parking, but parking was available in nearby streets. Be wary of the one-way system(s).

what I really,liked is the location of the hotel. the room was clean!

no elevator and three floors with luggages almost killed me...i wonder how an older person would have handle that. no wifi..it's a lie, the wifi you cath from there is the mcdonalds' one

The receptionist was very nice and helpful. Perfect location. Clean and tidy. Good value for the money.

The location was ok; the room was pretty clean

The staff was awful- they seemed friendly but actually do not do anything to help you. Very poor english which is not acceptable for hotel which is used only by foreigners taking their flights from Beauvais airport. I was traveling with my parents- and ok- I knew in advance about the stairs ( believe me- there are a real trouble), but we ordered a taxi at the moment of our arrival ( or at least we thought we did ) and girl confirmed that everything is ok, the taxi will wait for us on the next early morning. Then we took a walk in Beauvais (very nice small city) and when we returned I just decided to check the thing with the taxi- because the girl was gone and there was a man on the reception. And guess what- no taxi ordered, he just gave me the phones of some taxis ( and I don't speak french!) and told me that he cannot order me a taxi- it is better to take the bus. So me and my father went to investigate where the hell is the bus stop and so on. I was so mad. And 1 more thing- you can't sleep at night (except you have ear plugs) because the plumbing is terribly loud and the floors are also loudly- you can hear all the time people walking or washing. My reco- if you have other option do not stay at this hotel. It is not worth at all.

Clean tidy and near to the shops and a good restaurant just out the hotel turn right then first right again excellent!

Value for money

Although check was stipulated as after 1300, the reception was closed from 1230-1600 (sign in window stating this fact)

The woman on the desk was very helpful and spoke good English. Our room, #18, was on the top floor, so quiet although it looked out over the road and towards the cathedral. Good size room, comfy bed with extra pillows. Small, but perfectly serviceable bathroom and separate WC. Basic toiletries provided. An easy 20 minute walk from the train station. A relatively easy walk to the airport +/- 1 hr. Recommended for the french villas you pass on the way out of town. FYI: - reception closes at 10pm, so call ahead if you're going to be later than this. - no lift

I loved the location it is located in the middle of Beauvais with lots of lovely shops and McDonalds next door... Train station a short walk. Rooms very clean and windows opened onto the street so lots of fresh air and light.

We arrived on a Tuesday around 13:20 and the hotel was closed as it closes for a few hours every day. I rang the emergency no on the door and the gentleman that answer had very little English. I taught to myself this is a bad start to our short 2 day holiday..
