The staff were so immensely helpful and friendly, it felt like staying with friends.
Not much. Staff attention.
Noise from the town. Breakfast. Facilities for relaxation. Lack of convenient parking.
Location, & welcoming helpful staff.
No view from our particular room, only skylights.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great central location in the old city. Charming rooms and hotel.
Trying to sleep with street noise from the traffic on the cobblestone street below and a very hot mattress on the bed.
Extremely friendly staff. Close to amenities and port.
It was difficult to find on-street car parking close to town. Bathroom was a bit tired, with a fixed shower head that made it awkward to shower if you were either tall or short.
The quirkiness of this hotel helps it a lot. It's staff are helpful and overall the hotel was servicable.
It is very tired looking in part. The stairwell which is of course used often by all guests needs the same carpet running up the entire stairwell and the bottom two steps have metal edging that are separated where the steps turns the corner, which leaves two sharp edges, which is not great if you were to trip on these. Facilities for making a cup of tea in your room would have been helpful too.
The hotel is vey nice and really well located.
Staff doesn't like Customer, few words no special advises... Wifi no at all..
This hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of Honfleur one minute's walk from the old harbour. Our room on the second floor had a great view across to St Catherine's church and on to the harbour. The hotel is an old building with lots of charm.
We were not in the main part of the hotel so no Wifi. The location of our room on the square meant that there was a lot of noise from people passing by into the early hours and then from traffic moving over the cobbles early in the morning.
A central location Helpful staff
The carpets were very dirty in the room and up the staircase leading to the rooms. Bedding sheets were clean but top cover stained underneath. Happy to pay to stay centrally but not value for money if it's not to a clean standard.
Quaint old building in the centre of things. Pleasant staff. Good price. Good breakfast for the price and lovely service.
No comfortable loung area. Very noisy with door slamming and outside noise-the disadvantage of its central position. We are fit and active but the steep stairs would be challenging to some. Most of the staff smoked and came back inside smelling of smoke-not nice while they are then handling breakfast.
The room was in a building along the road from the main hotel in an ancient building with narrow winding stairs, not for the unfit or elderly. The room was immaculately decorated and clean but very "brown" the room was cleaned every day thoroughly.
The noise outside was awful. Not just the charming market setting up but seemingly all night diners/drinkers and traffic. There was nothing in the room to make a hot drink, probably so that the hotel guaranteed the 12.50 euro per person spend on breakfast.
The location is unbeatable! Shops and restaurants on the doorstep. Minutes from the harbour. Windows opened onto the church square. Loads of French character.
Free parking a bit of a trek. No fridge in room. Reception and wifi in an adjacent location.
Bedroom rather tired, poor lighting, couldn't read a book. TV and spa bath didn't work. 2nd floor bedroom rather difficult to reach with luggage and poorly lit winding stairs.
clean, excellent location, comfortable
no tea making facilities in room
Great location, typical small french hotel
Very noisy particularly on Saturday mornings, market day, the build up for which which starts at 7.00 am
Location, helpful staff.
The stairs. The stairway needs new carpet, but beyond that, they need an elevator. Not a good place for the elderly.
Location was excellent, we enjoyed the view over the church and the square. This was a great place to watch the Saturday market preparations.
No wi fi in the room. Really this needs to be made available in all rooms in 2014
The building is very old but very enchanting. It is very central to harbour and shops. Our room had a superb view overlooking the old church and square. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that. If yuo are prepared to walk, free car parking can be found nearby.
We satyed in the annex which meant we were not in the same building as the reception and Wi-Fi was not available. But neither of these would stop us from recommending this hotel.
Location Friendly staff
Parking was not easy due to the location. Room access was hard if you had large bags.
Excellent location really close to quay and many restaurants and bars. Comfortable bed.
We asked for a quiet room and were given a room at the front of the hotel. The market starts some time between 06:00 and 08:00 on Saturdays and we were woken by the sound of generators early on Saturday morning.
HELPFUL STAFF AND GREAT LOCATION
ALTHOUGH THERE HAS BEEN IMPROVEMENT IN SOME AREAS OTHER AREAS SUCH AS STAIR RAIL AND CARPETS NEED UPDATING.
The hotel was in the centre of where we needed to be.
There were no tea/coffee making facilities.
Location is perfect
The Hotel is a very run down place and not particularly comfortable. The staff are fairly off hand, all in all we wouldn't recommend the Dauphin.
Lovely location in a quaint area of the city surrounded by lovely shops and great restaurants.
