Great location, comfortable hotel close to Metro stop.
Wifi login & password changes every 24 hours, a bit annoying when u are in bed researching tourist spots and it no longer is connected!
location, street, breakfast room, staff
Quiet back st. Xlnt location. Much of the heart of the rive gauche at doorstep. English spoke.
Stairs narrow and difficult with large bag. Not even a jug in the room.
Quiet road for Paris. Good restaurants nearby. Near main sites.
No smoking room but strong smell of cigarettes.
Small room. Small corridors and stairs. Old fashioned walk-over. I like that, in Paris
location, room decoration, very clean, very quiet
Amazing location, typical bijoux Parisian hotel, lovely warm welcoming staff and I had a great stay. The room was clean and perfect for a single occupant..
I needed to enter the shower sideways as it was so small.. but this was the only negative during my stay..
Great location with shops, cafes, patisserie and Metro nearby. Cute room - small but had everything we needed. Friendly helpful staff.
A little noisy in the early hours of the morning but only to be expected in the centre of Paris.
Location, location. It had the old world French feel too.
There is no elevator and no air conditioning. We were not there in the heat of summer so the draft from the windows was lovely but, in the summer I can't imagine how hot it would be.
the location was fantastic, right in the heart of st germain. it was a bit noisy at night, although this was part and parcel of being in a vibrant area with lovely restaurants at your door step. the staff were friendly enough, although i was travelling with my mum and was surprised that noone offered to assist with her bags (five flights of stairs!). the hotel does have plenty of charm but be prepared to climb the staircase!
the wifi was not very strong on the 5th floor and we were frustrated that only one person per room was permitted wifi access. as we were both needing to check in with work while on holiday this was not ideal. the rooms are a fair size, but the beds (we had a twin room) were tiny! i'm 5"2 so it is saying something that my feet were hanging off the end! all in all we had a lovely time and the place was clean and charming. Perhaps a bit overpriced given the issues identified above.
The location is near to those mid to high end brands if you have no intention to travel all the way to champ élysées for shopping. A lot of cafés and restuarants around the area. About 20 mins to Louvre museum if you walk thru the small roads. Friendly staff but can't speak much English.
The rooms do not look clean with layers of dust on those standing and bed lamps. Only one access is given to one machine per room. So if you have more than one mobile or tablet u can only use only one to log into their wifi. One of our room smell bad and note that there is no air con in this hotel. Not advisable to stay during summer. Noisy if your room face the road and those restuarants from below.
Location Price-quality ratio
Great location, very kind staff, cosy and nice room. Wonderful bakery in front of the hotel :)
A little noisy
Nice, quiet, well-furnished, quite clean room, clean shower and toilette, adequate space for my daughter and me, quiet street, only a 3-minutes walk from the metro station, easily accessible by bus, helpful staff. The little living-room with the piano was simply adorable. All in all, a good value for money for Paris.
The 86 stairs to the 4th floor, but it was inevitable because the hotel is in the middle of Paris. Wi-fi too slow.
Staff not too friendly - no elevator Nobody to help with the luggage
Location is right in the centre - cannot get much better than this. Staff was really helpful and had good English command. Tea leaves tea for breakfast :)
The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen (1st floor, single room) - but manageable. The furnishings looked a bit used, but nothing broken.
Location is excellent. Room is good size, bed was comfortable. Reasonably quiet, although we had some street noise from Fête de la Musique.
Wifi was very slow, and rationed at one per room. No elevator.
It has a very good location
It has no elevator
Nice location and very friendly staff. Feeling that you live in your friend's home. Comfortable bed. Very close to metro and lots of cafes and shops around.
Bad wifi (you could have the connection only in the toilet and if moving the phone close to the wall). Probably, it could be an issue for tourists with large luggage -there is no elevator and the stairs are very narrow.
We liked the location, lovely easy area for walking to attractions & cafés
No lifts & we were refused help with our suitcases to go up or down to the far top room and staircases were treacherous. We had to argue about wifi as only one allowed to each room & we were two single ladies both needing separate wifi connections.
Typical old Paris building and street on the left bank, good location for the transport/museums/sights. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Room small but clean and comfortable, and staff very friendly. Breakfast worth the euros.
I liked the location, very convenient for the main sightseeing attractions; I also really liked the family feel of the hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice, Notre Dame, Louvre and the river all within walking distance. If you enjoyed your life at university, this will be for you!
You have to be able to climb a few steps - up to the fourth floor where we were it was 87 - I did not mind, because I knew and chose it, but it is challenging when you are not used to it.
Friendly staff who were willing to help in every way. Lovely breakfast with beautiful home made jams. Great location.
