I can not recommend this hotel highly enough. It has character, history, simple yet comfortable rooms, a beautiful affordable hotelbar, nice staff, and a great location. It could very well be more lucrative as tourist trap I imagine, yet it is not. It is a hotel as hotels should be. A home away from home. We will be back someday... The only thing I can think of is that the hotel has a nice litttle pool which didn't open until end of may, as we were there early may on a hot day.

Friendly staff, excellent place (antique center) with La Cafe du nuit (van Gogh cafe), very cosy old fashion nobility room (Picasso's interior, Room 2) with a view to van Gogh cafe, and greate Lights. Very well! A little bit "bright nights" in the room, but wonderful (nothing, but white:)

An old, possibly historical building that's been modernized enough to provide all comforts. Staff very friendly. Excellently positioned close to old town, and many restaurants in adjacent square. Some rooms look out on drab walls.

Staff very helpful. Working lift. Location was excellent: in the middle of town, with everything in walking distance. Room was big, airy with large and comfortable bed. Interesting antique washing 'table' in bathroom. As hotel is on a lively square with lots of bars/restaurants ask for room that is not at the front if you are a light sleeper. No wifi is a negative point.

The location cannot be beat, right across from Van Gogh's cafe. The staff was friendly. Room could have used a bit of work, barebones.

Location was good for walking in Arles. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Nothing apart from finding our way to the hotel in a car, but that is not the hotel's fault, it's an old town.

Great location. My room was bright, sunny, and exceptionally clean. The receptionist was very helpful in securing an early morning taxi to take me to the train station.

The possibility of playing the piano in the bar. The calm atmosphere beside the piscine. The central position in Arles. The old-fashioned atmosphere The large size of the bedroom The fact that there was a real bath, not just a shower The helpfulness of the staff in storing my luggage and ordering a taxi for me [I came to have twenty four hours relaxation before the start of a colloque in Marseille] (only that the piano would benefit from a little reconditioning: some of the notes don't work; I noticed particularly a high A flat and a very high D)

A truly gorgeous establishment with great attention to detail which made it feel much more than 3*. Its interior was amazing: part 15th century, part 18th - check out the original 18th century sinks in the foyer, stunning! The room we had was HUGE; the bed very comfortable and the furniture beautiful. The pool was lovely and having breakfast beside it was worth getting up for! The staff were superb and came up with great recommendations for places to eat and excursions. Finally, its location was a knock-out - right opposite the night cafe Van Gogh painted.

I enjoyed staying here, right in the middle of Arles. The room was fine and the staff were pleasant. The court at the back, with the swimming pool and tables and chairs (where one could have breakfast) was good.

Excellent location in the center of Arles. The Cafe du Nuit from Van Gogh's painting is right in front of it. The hotel's highlight is its staff: Their friendliness goes beyond typical professionalism and you feel welcome immediately. We spent two nights there and will certainly come back.

The hotel is in the centre of Arles, with restaurants/cafes on the doorstep, and a short walk to tourist sites and shops. The friendly, helpful staff spoke good English. Our second floor room overlooked a courtyard with a swimming-pool, and was comfortable, quiet and immaculately clean.

The receptionist was extremely helpful. The location was very convenient for visiting Arles. I room had lots of character. There was a stale order in this particular room. Because of the narrow streets in Arles it was very difficult to drive to the hotel. We parked where we could and walked to the hotel. This was part of the charm

Great location in the centre of Arles close to all the restaurants and sites of interest. Also a 10-15 min walk to the train station, along the river which was really nice! Friendly staff who made our stay very comfortable. Nice room on the third floor looking out lovely vines and buildings and a church. The hotel also some history to it, with a nice billiards room and some great photos on the walls..definitely worth recommending! The only thing which bothered us was that the room had a newly painted smell which did feel suffocating if one didnt open the windows. Also the fridge kept making noise in the night which we had to stuff away in the cupboard. Otherwise our stay was very nice
