The hotel was central and very good value for money. The air conditioning was noisy and inefficient. |

Proximity to old town.Welcoming reception staff.Simple yet everything was there that was needed.Overlooked street and had a balcony. Unfortunate that roof terrace was undergoing renovation and could not be used. This wasn`t mentioned at time of booking.Look forward to using it for next visit. |

Great location. Room was very clean, beds were comfortable. Reasonably quiet and with air conditioning. Staff was friendly and helpful. A standout value for a two-star hotel. |

The parking was a real plus. The staff was helpful. There was a laundromat down the street. |

The extremely helpful and cheerful staff made me feel very much at home, and helped me with plans for my stay. My room was larger than I expected for a single, and everything spotless. It was an interior room, and very quiet. Electric shades provide added security. The view from the rooftop terrace is outstanding, but there is no shade up there. The location could not be better for seeing Aix on foot, and is only a 15 minute walk from bus or train. Breakfast was fairly substantial for France, including hard-boiled eggs. It would be nice to have shade on the roof, since it's so lovely up there and I didn't have a view from my window. |

Hotel is very conveniently placed for access to the town itself, the Cours Mirabeau is not far away and quite quickly reached through the side streets. Less is made of how close the Hotel de Ville is, which is a pity. The room I had was spacious and had controllable air conditioning that worked well especially as this enabled it to be turned off in the day and back on in the evening as needed. The hotel staff were all pleasant and helpful, even putting up with my rusty French which was far worse than their English! Nothing significant, although as mentioned elsewhere, the breakfasts are expensive for what they provide especially in comparison with local bars (and Aix is not cheap in general!). However you don't have to take the breakfasts although I did myself. Shower cubicle was small (OK I am fat) with the control protruding a long way into the space. Everytime I turned around, I turned the water off at best or hurt myself at worst. However these are minor points and don't really detract from what is a very good small hotel. |

The smooth efficiency of the staff who were always friendly and forthcoming. All the basics are done well. I was hoping the roof terrace - shown on some advertising material - would have been open. |

It was within easy walking distance of the centre of Aix-en-provence. Garage facility okay for small & medium cars. Room very sparse. We had the hardest bed in France. The door of our (brand new) hire car was scratched by hotel staff parking /moving it in the garage, |

Location was excellent, 10 mins easy walking distance to Tourist Office and main shopping street, 15 mins to bus station. (Double) room and bathroom spacious and very clean. Comfortable bed and good storage space. The female staff were very helpful. Although the bathroom was large and very clean would have preferred a shower curtain and to have been able to hook the over bath shower attachment to the wall. A stand up shower is an essential requirement for most people nowadays, especially when the weather is very hot. |

It was close to the 'Old Town' with cafes bars and restaurants nearby There was no lounge area or chairs in the room so nowhere to sit down except the bed. The advertised outside terrace was not available. |

Very nice location at the border of the city center but quiet enough. Nice value, clean, room size is good. The key, there's no magnetic card and the key is huge so you must leave it at the front desk when you go out. |

Convenient position - 5 mins from the Cours mirabelle. Very pleasant staff - all very willing to answer questions - even as far as making phone calls to enquire after my lost camera. Parking convenient - but must be booked at the same time as the hotel booking as there is limited space. Room was small but very clean and had been recently updated. bathroom fine. |

We were very impressed with the facilities for a two-star hotel, more like a three star. Staff were very gracious and helpful. Although smoke-free, the young couple next door to us kept smoking on their balcony and it drifted into our room! Annoying. excellent location. shower stall very small. please see above re: smoke and small shower. |

A 2 star hotel, it is modest, but benefits from very competent staff and a central location, easily walkable to the Cours Mirabeau etc. Has garage, which must be booked, so with car makes visiting the region easy, including Marseille. |
