The staff were friendly and professional. The hotel location was superb. The refurbishment of the hotel was excellent.

No tea and coffee making facilities in room.

    Staff were great!

Wifi was a pain in that you had to sign on every time you needed access.

Great upstairs nook where we could rest while waiting to leave for the airport - even though we had officially checked out. Really comfortable bed, lovely bathroom. The bellboy (who was always on the go) couldn't have been more helpful and genuinely friendly - great staff and excellent prompt communication beforehand.

This is a one of a kind boutique hotel and not for every traveler but it is perfect for me. My 11-year old daughter absolutely loved it because of the cozy beds and decor. My sister had been there with her daughter and had appreciated it equally so she had recommended it. The location is in a quiet, charming, complete neighborhood with no street noise. It is quite near the Notre Dame. There are many shops to obtain pastries, wine, cheese, beverages, etc. to enjoy in your room at your table or in the lounge or lobby if you don't want to go to the many restaurants nearby. The beds are divine. The window opens for fresh air. It is SO quiet. The front desk staff is extremely helpful.

Wi-fi connectivity. Computer in lobby runs very slowly but it might be that France has slower Wi Fi than some other countries. Not sure. Metro availability due to shut downs of service on some lines in July/August. The elevator is extraordinarily slow. If you're a large person or have a lot of suitcases or personal space needs, this place is not for you. The website is quirky. Calling might be better if you have any concerns because my emails were not answered.

old well preserved hotel friendly staff location is EXCELLENT

pricey - you get better deal but going to the website of the hotel than via booking.com (about 20%) breakfast is quite poor considering the price paid

Seventeenth century Jeu de Pomme that has been creatively transformed into a modern hotel. Room was small but so functional that you hardly notice. Excellent staff to assist with restaurants and travel. A/C a blessing when it hit 97 the day before we returned home. Location couldn't be better, walking distance to Metro, Rive Gauche, Le Marais. A haven in the middle of bustling Paris!

Location, comfortable bed, room service to die for (a bear by restaurant), historic building,

Didn't realize could have saved a lot of money by booking "single" bed which comfortably sleeps a couple

Calm and quit environment, at night you did not noticed you were in the heart of Paris. Friendly staff and the bathroom was small but fine.

Rooms are larger than average in Paris but remain relatively small compared with similar hotels and rates in London and New York

We adored staying at this boutique hotel, which is located on a primarily pedestrian street in a central location. We walked to the Pompadou, great shopping, cafes, and bookstores. Breakfast is served till noon and drinks after hours in an elegant sitting room. They got us tickets for that night to a concert at the Sainte Chappelle and sent the clutch that I forgot in the closet back to my house:-)

We loved the location, so close to many interesting things to visit; the building itself is a historical one, very well preserved and extremely comfortable, very special atmosphere. Our room opened on a small green courtyard, which was nice. Breakfast is good but if weather allows it I will always prefer breakfast in the streets, at a cafe or bistro. Free Wi-Fi is a plus, it was reliable, one just needs to log in quite often.

The toilet room, which is different from the bathroom, has no ventilation whatsoever, so it doesn't exactly smell of roses. There are some problems with mobile phone signal (no strength), one cannot use phone all the time, we had to go into the lobby sometimes in order to make a call.

The location was far and away the best to experience the charm and idea I had of Paris. Could easily walk to major points of interest and pick up a crepe or fresh squeezed orange juice along the way. Helpful staff.

Along with the charm and density comes little annoyances like construction work next door one morning. Should have been up and out anyway. Can't figure out why hotels (not just this one) can't keep the sinks from being clogged. Guess a plumber is as hard to get in Paris as anywhere in the world.

The building has a very intriguing and ancient internal timber structure that is exposed to great advantage.

The rooms were quite spare in furnishings, but, as they say, this is Paris and small, spare rooms are not uncommon.

This hotel is the perfect location for a trip to Paris! The isle has lovely shops and wonderful restaurants all just a few steps away from the hotel's front door. The staff at the hotel were excellent resources for making reservations and sight seeing tips. I highly recommend staying here!

Our room was very comfortable, the staff were really excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was most attractive and very well located and quiet for all the major attractions in Paris

Our heated towel rail in the bathroom didn't work properly and we thought that the hotel breakfast was too expensive.
