Hôtel du Lion d'Or Louvre  

The room was really spacious and great for the kids. The shower pressure was great too! The room had a very "French" feel to it!

No lift! Had to carry luggage up 2 flights of narrow stairs.

For Paris the studio apartment was great for a family. The kid's had their own loft space and a bed each. It was good to have facilities to make breakfast or hot drinks and a fridge.

If you are travelling with a lot of luggage and book a studio you could find yourself on the 4th floor with no lift. We had someone help us up to the room but no one available for our departure.

The location was fantastic and within walking distance of shopping and booking tours. The sheets and towels were clean. Fresh towels everyday. We had breakfast everyday in the hotel (across the street). The ease of getting to & from the hotel was great. Restraunts were across the street, plus a little grocery store at the end of the street. Loved the coffee machine, cheese, baked offerings.

The picture of the room was not what the room turned out to be. I appeared there were two double beds in the room - mirrors appeared to make it larger. There was one bed in the room, with a loft with a mattress only on the floor; we had a 4th bed that appeared to be a fold away chair/bed. Only 2 showers could be taken at a time - it took at least 45 minutes to re heat. We were 4 ladies in our sixties and going up and down to/from the 1st floor was difficult. We had no help with luggage on the day of departure and had to take our own down to the ground floor. But I would use again, but would book in the hotel and not use the studio room option.

Great location - easy to walk to anywhere!

Rooms were not the cleanest we've come across - particularly the linen. Staff were not at all helpful in any situation - from showing us to our room (she obviously didn't want to walk up all the stairs to the Loft), to ordering us a taxi to the airport (they didn't, basically!). Also, no lift in the building across the road from reception made it very difficult for those with suitcases to get themselves to the top floor.

The hotel rooms w/o lift and have to carry luggage to third floor. Poor breakfast. Wifi settings asks password for each change.

My family felt as if they had stepped into an episode of hgtv House Hunters International when they walked into the loft efficiency room. The loft rooms are more shabby than chic but they are bright, clean and comfortable. The location is excellent.

While there are non-smoking signs posted everywhere, the loft building is not monitored by hotel staff. As a result, the guests in the loft next to our room felt free to smoke marijuana day and night. They filled the building with the scent of marijuana. We had to close our bathroom window in order to avoid a contact high.

Location is very convenient

The photos from the web is misleading. The room is totally different - not like a hotel standard. Also the hotel is undergoing renovation - I thought our room was old due to not renovated yet - however the staff said our room was already the new one - omg.

Polite personal, some of them even speak russian, excellent location, 3 minutes to go to two metro stations, good breakfast, tv & fan in room. small elevator. restaurant opposite the entrance and food store in 30 meters (good and cheap place to buy meal and drinks for all-day-long excursions). If your are not demanding you should try it!

Small room, narrow bathroom. High price rate for a double room but quite normal for the studio.

We spent 1 night in double room and that was good. The room was tiny, but clean, compared to the family studio room we moved after. Location is the best thing about this hotel. There are 2 metro stations near, so you can get around the city easily. In the studio room they provide all necessary to cook, if you wish.

There is still construction work ongoing, although it was said on the web-site that it should be finished till the time we arrived (end of May). Studio room was far from being clean, especially the floor.

A well located hotel that provided a small but inviting room for my family. The receptionist was very helpful upon check in and very helpful when asked to give directions (via the Metro) to the Eiffel Tower.

The only problem with the room was the presence of a 4cm high discontinuity of the floor about halfway across the room. This problem almost caused my wife to stumble on a couple of occasions. The hotel was in the process of being renovated at the time of our visit and hopefully this problem will be rectified after renovations are completed.

The hotel size was small and intimate and Metro was close by.

The shower hose in our room didn't work function properly and the elevator wasn't working on our second day. Hotel staff were moderately friendly at best.
