Loved the location!! Breakfast was great too!

Staff was a little grumpy and since we were on the first floor it was a bit noisy outside our window.

Location and price cannot be beaten.

Only downside was climbing five and a half flights of stairs several times a day with a three year old.

We stayed in the triple room on the ground floor. It had shutters to keep the noise out. We loved this hotel. It is old and rickety but full of character and very comfortable. Breakfast is simple but satisfying and staff too were helpful. It's real selling point however is the location which is perfect!! We drove to Paris and parked in a nearby street, which was free at the weekend. We will definitely come back!

    I can't think of anything

The hotel is superbly located within range of most great tourist attractions. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

A bit to much light from the outside streetlighting.

We stayed a week here. Charming rooms; helpful and friendly staff. Very clean and quiet accommodation with crisp white sheets. Excellent location especially for music and book shops and all central Paris tourist venues. Restaurants to suit any budget near by Rue du la Hachette (?) very close.

Location Ambience Very clean linens Efficient breakfast though not exciting - croissant, piece of baguette with jam, oj, coffee or tea - every single morning! Cute historic place with twisted stairways.

Although bathroom was very clean, the rest of the room was sketchy - we moved the beds closer to the window because it was so hot and no a/c - the carpet underneath looked like it hadn't been vacuumed for years. The walls were stained and dirty - could have used a wash. This was a 2nd floor room facing the street. Windows were soundproof but because there was no a/c, we tried to sleep with the windows open. But, then it was very noisy and impossible to sleep due to noise. We asked to borrow a fan and then we were able to sleep with windows closed. Would be better if they offered a fan from the start or add a/c. Ask for a higher floor if facing street and no a/c. The staff are ok, not extremely friendly or warm - a bit unusual given this hotel is so quaint, cute and small.

Quaint and traditional hotel, so nice to experience something different to the usual 'conference'-style hotels.

    The location.

General uncleanliness of rooms. Stains on carpets & bedspread. Burn holes in bedspread. No maid service to our room during the day.

location is central, but also very crowded and touristy.

The 62 stairs are a toughie!! Some of the rooms are quite dark.

You can walk out the door and be steps from my favorite part of Paris! Everything you need is right around the corner. The room was good for the 3 of us and the A/C was very good to have.

Location is fantastic, staff are helpful, room is basic but comfortable, bathroom is nice. Overall the house is charming - lots of character.

Not having air-conditioning in mid-Summer is uncomfortable. Rooms facing the street can be noisy very late at night

Excellent location/Very good customer care/Good breakfast/Good bathroom facilities/Friendly and helpful staff.

Lack of plug sockets in the room / Lack of fan (or a/c) facilities / Breakfast could be better with a slice of cheese/ham.

THE LOCATION WAS PERFECT. YOU CAN WALK TO MOST OF THE TOURISTIC PLACES AND IT IS IN THE HEART OF ST. GERMAIN AREA WHICH IS THE CENTER OF THE CITY. VERY CLOSE TO METRO AND BUS STATIONS. IT IS AN OLD, HISTORICAL HOTEL WHERE YOU CAN DEEPLY FEEL THE OLD PARIS. IT WAS SAFE. OTHER GUESTS WERE ALL QUALITY PEOPLE. NICE WARM HOTEL. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE WHO WILL VISIT PARIS.

THERE IS NO ELEVATOR AND YOU HAVE TO CARRY YOUR OWN LUGGAGE THROUGH NARROW OLD WOODEN STAIRS BUT NO BIG DEAL.
