No Elevator and We were on the 6th floor
Nice ambience, tasty breakfast (with the sounds of classical music), great location, cosy place.
The value, the location. Good petit dejune. The staff.
This hotel is right in the Latin Quarter and close to everything!! Loved Notre Dame Cathedral and Musee Cluny! Lovely breakfast.
The door to the room would "stick" and we had a couple of frightening moments trying to "unstick" it. The facilities were quite worn. Some new bedspreads are in order, matching would be good! Staff were typically French... (Unlike another location in Paris where they were actually friendly and smiled!!)
History, comfort, location, value - and a bathtub! Yes!!!
good location and helpful staff
need to upgrade facilities
Location is good.Just few step to Metro station and many tourist attraction
all facility in this hotel is really poor.Bad smell in the room.Toilet is old and disgust
Very clean, modern bathroom, close to shops, food and station. Good walk along the river with lots to see.
No lift, safe in room not working.
i like the style of this hotel, historical and quiet. it's convenient to take subway and go to Notre Dame de Paris. BTW, Staff are nice.
Great location close to the Seine in the Latin Quarter. Old and atmospheric and very French. Good value for money.
No lift and cramped room but still great value for money.
It was a quaint hotel very close to St. Michele. I like that the room was very authentic and quiet. It was situated at the primal location.
position, litterally 5 minutes to notre dame acceptable price interesting building (it has character) good price
Breakfast is practically nothing the road is full of homeless people sleeping/peing (or worse) around the room was functional but not if you are 190 cm
Excellent, quiet ground floor room (ie no stairs to climb) Probably the best room in the hotel. Large bathroom Very friendly staff Good breakfast delivered to your table Good location
Regular place for urination near front of hotel - not the fault of the hotel but a common thing in Paris
loved the location and the breakfasts
climbing the stairs was brutal. I realize it is a very old establishment but hopefully something can be done about the stairs.
Have stayed at this hotel several times and the location is excellent. In a quiet street which is hard to find. Old historic building with plenty of character. Front desk staff were very helpful. Breakfast is excellent value.
No lift so could be a problem for some. Rooms can be very small but this is to be expected in Paris.
good breakfast, air-conditioning and TV channels. location is close to Saint-Michael Notre Dome which RER B line has direct access to the CDG Airport.
Were the hotel is placed : it's in a nice area & easy to walk to most of the sites .
Nothing in particular. But the Hotel to with coat of paint & a General refreshing.
Closeness to everything. We requested and were give. The ground floor. Breakfast was great!
the stairs, the bathrooms. dirty.
Location was great; close to metro stations and quaintness of the hotel is charming.
Carpets not well vacuumed clean, no towel changes unless you ask for it. No lifts so be prepared to carry your own luggage upstairs. If sleeping w windows open, your neighbours' loud room conversations reverberate around the block like a sound bowl.
The staff were totally laid back - initially appearing indifferent but when approached immensely helpful and efficient in providing local tips, securing taxis etc. Breakfast was excellent; and the hotel is fabulously located - with nd Cathedral, The Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay all easily walkable. There are also plentiful places to eat and loads of great book shops just a street or 2 away.
'Historic' it may be but given the price, which in most other European capitals would guarantee something altogether glitzier and more spacious, should they perhaps: (a) install a lift given the tiny, worn out and laborious staircases and (b) redecorate the very poky bedrooms and attempt to introduce not just some natural light but also some decent overhead lighting
The age and feel of the place. Also we were allowed to leave our luggage there on day of departure.
The bathroom was a bit small but didn't mind as it had a great shower and lovely marble sink
Very friendly and responsive. Requests for favour are honoured without linking it to extra payment. Great stay.
