Situated close to Bastille and Gare de Lyon, this family-run hotel has rooms in a French style. Hotel de Venise’s wood furnishings give the hotel a traditional feel.

Very convenient location for station and getting into town
We had two large suitcases and were given a third-floor room with no lift so we had to leave the suitcases in the baggage store room
Hotel was right by the train station. Easy to locate. We only stayed here one night but the staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. Not noisy at all - we had a great sleep. Quite a few restaurants nearby and a bakery for breakfast in the morning. The hotel offered breakfast for an additional cost however we were up very early to catch the train and just stopped at the bakery for something quick on the way. Would highly recommend this hotel. Note however that there is no elevator, luckily we were just on the first floor!
Clean and safe. Nice interier.
Clean, friendly and in an extremely convenient position for Gare du Lyon. Staff very helpful. Would definitely stay there again. Breakfast good value compared to nearby bars.
Only negative is we were on the 3rd floor and there is no lift .
No air conditioning no seif no fridge no lift. Very dirty carpets , towels old and dirty .
Staff were helpful and quite friendly. The hotel was really convenient for the station.
When I arrived there was a pile of dirty towels on a chair in the reception/ dining area. Not a good look. The room was not air conditioned and was very hot and stuffy unless we opened the window. However if the window was open it was very noisy. There did not seem to be a power point near a mirror so difficult to use hair dryer and hair straightener.
Very poor wifi
Staff very helpful
Room wasnt ready after check in time given
This hotel provided great access as we were departing Paris. We could easily walk to the LesCars Air France bus stop by the Gare d'Lyon and conveniently get to CDG. The staff are very helpful and friendly and speak English well. They went out of their way to insure our comfort.
The hotel does not have air conditioning or an elevator. If you are traveling light and don't mind the stairs this is a good place to stay, if you have heavy bags be cautious. It was hot and the lack of air conditioning meant poor sleep.
Location was great, very close to the train station and metro. The beds were comfortable and there were no disturbing noises at night.
Maybe bathroom a bit small and Wi-Fi signal not very strong.
Location was good as we arrived late in the evening at Gare de Lyon just around the corner. Also lots of cafés and restaurants open all day and night nearby.
We thought it was over priced for the level of accommodation.
The location was central
The hike to the 3rd floor at 2:00am in the morning.
Wi-fi was very good and the situation near to the Gare de Lyon was great.
The bathroof had a smell coming from the sink. No U-bend trap I think.
Location (short walk from Gare de Lyon station). Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Wifi only worked in hallway, but when you had reception it worked well. Shower had no shower curtain and the drain plug had issues. The doors didn't open all the way. No electrical outlets in the bathroom. Our room was not super nice, but it worked. Our room was like 10C until we figured out how to turn on the electrical heater.
The location: in Bastille, a couple of kilometers away from the most interesting stuff, the Louvre, Notre Dame, etc. Easily walkable. Also, near the Gare de Lyon train station. There are a lot of coffeeshops and most importantly, supermarkets, nearby. The room was nice, nothing remarkable but clean and large enough. The staff was also very nice and helpful.
Nothing actually. There's no elevator but the stairs are wide and easy to walk (carrying luggage is not a nightmare, unlike Amsterdam…). And it would be a plus if the rooms could have a minifridge, but it's nothing to worry about.
Very good location for Gare de Lyon, and quiet street.
Smallest bathroom yet! And no lift - seemed a long way up to third floor with suitcases.
Staff was very helpful. The hotel is really close to Gare de Lyon (a 5 minutes' walk). Walk 30 minutes and you are at Notre Dame. There was an hairdryer. I stayed for one night only and I think it's OK for short stays only.
The bathtub did not have any curtains so taking a shower can be messy. No elevator, stairs are quite narrow. A bit too pricey for the quality, but I guess Paris is expensive.
Location - it's just few minutes on foot from train station.
The room was quite was and it didn't smell good when we entered the room but after few minutes with opened windows it was OK.
