The area was very safe. Shops and restaurants very close by. Easy walk to most attractions. Staff were helpful, wifi was great. Great breakfast.
We found most rooms in Europe way too hot!
Location was phenomenal and two bakeries close by. They gave us a room with three beds which was great!
They had A/C, but we were still hot because it is centrally controlled. Maid's closet next to our room 4, so the cleaning closet door was constantly slamming after 8am.
Good value, wonderful location
Staff was rude sometimes, rooms were clean but outdated
The location of hotel was great, in walking distance of all major attractions. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, found it a little pricey for the size of room..
Room was very small
Rubber under sheet on the bed
Well situated. Quiet street. Walk to metro and RE stations. 1/2 block to Rodin Museum. 2 blocks to Napoleon's tomb. Walk to Eiffel, Louvre, Or say. In government district. Several good neighbourhood bistros.
Breakfast. Inconsistent provision of water. Locked entrance before midnight. Not close to the nightlife.
Great location walking distance to Eiffel Tower and very close to metro station at Invalides. Nice sized room and good outlook. Breakfast is extra and a bit pricey but would definitely stay there again.
Smart hotel, good value for money, walking distance from Eifel tower and historical centre.
Locations is good, close to many art galleries and the louvre. some good restaurants around...but not recommended for people who are traveling in August cause that area is pretty empty during that time.
On the third night we found a bug on our bed and it bite my mom. We showed that to a staff and he didn't apologize at all but said we brought the bug into the room. Then I found out that it was a bed bug which mostly likely was in the room before. After they changed everything for us, the whole family still keep getting bug bites everywhere, even after we left Paris. Also, the toilet was really small, and the drainers were seriously clogged... there was a weird gap between the door for the shower room and the wall, so water came out and got into the room... This is probably the worst hotel my family have ever been too.
The room is sapacious. The staff is friendly. Good breakfast.
A long distance from any Metro stations for an old person. Major museums are quite far to walk to except for Rodan Museum. Not so many restaurants found near by.
Staff very nice. Large room.
Everything about the room
The staff and hotel in General were very helpful and friendly
We couldn't stay longer!
Great staff, all of them did their best to help out. In our party we had 2 disabled travelers and while the hotel isn't really setup to handle the disabled, the staff went above and beyond to work with us. Also Rafael was amazing, hands down he is the main reason we didn't switch hotels. Also while the staff doesn't speak English, and our party didn't speak French, ironically everyone spoke Spanish. We found this to be a common theme in Paris. Also this hotel is very centrally located. You're 5min away from Napoleon's tomb, and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, French National Assembly, and Notre Dame.
Over all the rooms are extremely small, but to their credit they do list square footage on their site. So as a rule don't try to put more than one person in one room. Also the A/C doesn't really work. The front desk claims the A/C is controlled in the rooms and the A/C on the wall says "centrally controlled" if you try to adjust it. In the end we had to sleep with the windows open since it was summer. In the winter this might not be as much of an issue. Also while they do have an elevator, it is the smallest one you will have ever seen. There's room for 2 people standing or 1 person in a compact wheelchair. Which if you're disabled this isn't the hotel for you. There are steps and stairs every where and you have a few steps between you and the elevator even! Also there are 3 doors between the hallway and your room, and not very much space between them. So if you're in a wheelchair, good luck holding 2 doors open and moving yourself through them. At some point you will have to let one of the heavy self closing doors slam into your back to get the 3rd one open. So if you're very able bodied, traveling by yourself, and want to walk every where, this is your hotel. If you can't say yes to all 3, then go with a big chain hotel.
Was located very close to Eiffel tower and many restaurants and shops.
Everything, but particularly the bathrooms, which are sparkling clean and have bathtubs. This is not an American-style Luxury hotel. I don't want to go to Paris to stay in a hotel full of rich Americans with an ice machine on every floor! If I want that, I'll stay home and save the plane fare. But the rooms are a decent size, the decor is rustic, the location is good (a quiet, safe area near the Rodin museum and the Eiffel Tower), it's not hopping like the 5th and 6th. But I'm a left bank sort of gal, and it love it there. It's my favorite place in Paris.
Nothing. I love this place.
No view at all No one to help in luggage No restaurant Bed sheets wasn't changed during 4 days Narrow every part of it only one key and you have to leave it at the reception when you go out
There is no lift
old style of hotel.
not restorant in it.
Great bakery and markets nearby. Walking distance to lots. Quiet.
Located among government buildings so not a lot of weekend/evening activity.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Slow wifi upload speed.
No more next time
Staff was helpful, location was convenient walking distance to sites, breakfast was well done, a limited bar was available in the evening.
Couldn't figure out how to call room to room successfully. Our room had a partner room, but our friends were not in it. Wi-Fi came up as "unsecure" so I didn't use it. Limited electrical outlets. The provided hair dryer didn't work.
I like the location of this place. The House of Invalides is about 15 minutes of walking. Eiffel Tower is about 30 minutes. Basically thats all of the advantages of this hostel.
The place is very old. The bed creaks. To get wi-fi login/pass you need to go to the reception and ask for 24-hour access. You have to go for login/pass every day because it's valid only 24 hours.
