Score from 981 reviews Good
Facing the lake and its gardens, our hotel is located in the center of town of Annecy, a couple of paces of the historic quarter and the shopping streets.
Score from 547 reviews Excellent
Absolutely fabulous location, all amenities needed.
Small room but to be expected in Annecy, bed not overly comfortable
Localization and the staff
(1)Varnished roof timbers extending over the bed mean you can bang your head if you get out of bed in the dark as they are too low. (2)The name 'Hotel du Palais de l'Isle' promises far more than the modest establishment it is.
Location Is great. They were very good with our old dog!
Although we were high up it was quite noisy throughout the night but it was in the heart of town so should have been expected.
Friendly, helpful staff. Location within the town. Quiet rooms with nice amenities.
A bit tight, but hey, it is France...
ROOM VERY VERY NOISY
Annecy and around
The location of this hotel gives guest "out the door" access to beautiful and charming ancient Annecy which is hard to beat.
brilliant location right opposite the palais d'isle
I love the location, the place itself and what it offers, the view and the cozy room where we stayed
Great location in the old town which was perfect! Room was nice and big and I appreciated having a bath after staying in many rooms which didn't. I liked being able to open a window at night and have fresh air.
Bad lighting meant room was quite dark even though it had a good sized window. Our room was in the roof and the sloped ceilings meant most of the room was unusable even though it was large in size. This might be more of a problem if you were staying longer.
Got there and hotel not aware of booking.com reservation. The room at the top of the hotel had sloped roof so you couldn't stand easily beside bed - not at all like photos on site.
wonderful position good breakfast excellent service
usual complaint of only1 chair in double room
A great location in the heart of Annecy, unfortunately this means remote parking but it is well worth it. Small, but well furnished modern and clean rooms. Impressive sound-proof windows.
Could not open the suitcases without rearranging the furniture. Call the rooms snug.
Absolutely wonderful location and lovely staff. We were on the third floor overlooking the ice cream shop (which did have the best ice cream!) and loved it. The windows kept out all noise so had a really good nights sleep but it was lovely to have them open getting ready in the morning and hearing the hustle and bustle of Annecey! Will definitely be staying here again and would really recommend it to others.
Amazing location right in the heart of beautiful Annecy. Air conditioning was nice. Friendly staff
We were staying with our 1.5 year old son and found the hotel too cramped. Lift was tiny, only just fit our pushchair in, corridors very narrow and steps up and down on each floor so but if a hazard for little ones. Room in need of modernization and there was an extremely sharp bit of broken wire on the mini bar fridge. Expensive - must be due to location.
The room was clean and bathroom clean and modern. The lady on the desk was very friendly. It was right in the middle of Annecy so location excellent.
You could hardly swing a cat in the bedroom and the whole place was very claustrophobic - tried to have a drink in the bar but the wine advertised was not available and the bottle we decided on was corked so had to go elsewhere - definitely need to get their act together if they are going to charge £128!!!!
Smallish but very comfortable room. Very efficient (and quiet) aircon. Excellent double glazed windows (the street outside was very busy). Fast wifi. Great location - lots of restaurants, cafes and shops very close by.
It's understandable given that it's in an old part of the town, but the closest you can get by car to the hotel is about 50m away. Public parking is 5-10 minutes walk away and costs about 1 euro per hour. Not a huge complaint though.
central location in old town
room small and noisy
The location puts you in the centre of the old town which is perfect. The room is nice and everything we needed. Romain the concierge was very polite and helpful. A lovely stay overall.
We were charged $15 USD more per night than booking.com said we would be charged
Right in the middle of the pedestrain area in Annecy. Close to the lake. Right under the castle.
