The location, you can't beat it. In the middle of everything.
I didn't like the idea that my room wasn't cleaned one day because I had the "do not disturb" sign out until 10:30. So they left for the day and didn't clean my room. The reception was nice enough to get me clean towels.
Great location - quaint room with large bathroom. Very friendly and responsive staff.
Bit noisy in the morning with traffic on the piazza.
great location, beautiful old hotel with a lot of charm. Across from the Palais Du Papes.
Wish they had a shower curtain and a way to stop the water from the separate shower flooding the bathroom. Not a big deal but such a small thing to do to make an otherwise lovely hotel room fabulous.
The hotel is excellently situated. Reception staff very welcoming and professional. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the diningroom staff who were hurried and v unfriendly felt like McDonalds!
Dining room staff bordering on rude!
Absolutely charmed with the town, and staying in the hotel was a part of it. Very friendly personnel, cozy rooms with history. Excellent restaurant at the hotel. Strategic location right in the centre of Avignon, close to the Popes´ Palace. WiFi worked pretty well. Pretty reasonable price. Will be sure to come again!
The location is perfect! The room was large and overlooked the Place de l'Horloge where there are many little restaurants and great place to people watch. Very close to the train station as well and walking from the station is no problem.
It's not something that I didn't like, just to mention...the hotel is located in a very busy area and street noise is something to consider
Good location to visit Palace of the Popes.
Very difficult to get to Hotel. No Auto Access, especially frustrating as you need to find the underground parking first, and then haul your luggage up the stairs and two blocks to the Hotel. The booking info should more fully explain this problem or have someone from the hotel take your luggage from a convenient drop off point.
Excellent central location..do not need a car to visit city centre or to shop or visit the restaurants...staff very helpful
You can get a ticket for breakfast at the In & Out restaurant for 10 Euros each NOT RECOMMENDED this was a rip off
Location across the plaza from the Palais des Papes. High ceilings, modern decor in old building
No lobby. Wi-fi only available at front desk. breakfast buffet in back of adjoining restaurant with limited selections.
Close proximity to the Palace.
The reception area is next to the kitchen entrance. On entry you are met with a bad odour from the Kitchen area, plus the sight of the dirty kitchen swing doors. Not a nice hotel to return to after a long day siteseeing.
Friendly reception staff Clean well-equipped bedroom Lift
Access to room involved stairs without handrails
Spacious room, good bathroom
No fridge in room
The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was also large. We could both get ready at the same time and not be crowded.
Our room was right above the street and trash cans. It was VERY noisy. We were woken every morning from 2:00 am, 3:30 am and 6:00 am.
The location, of course, was brilliant, and the staff really went out of their way to make our stay a great one - the girl at the reception, friendly and subdued told us we'd been upgraded to a room with a view of the palace since I'd booked in ignorance of which rooms went with which views - and the next morning her colleague rallied the breakfast room of the café next door because we were somewhat late for breakfast. :-) I know you can also buy your own breakfast, but the one they offered was really excellent, especially the coffee, the croissants and nutella and the fresh orange juice.
The old building with stone stairs and walls, it's fantastic. I visit Avignon two times per year and always go back to my favourite Hôtel du Palais des Papes. The restaurant is delicious
The location is the best possible and the room was great
Enjoyed location, friendly staff, excellent outdoor resturant
