Excellent hotel - super clean, friendly. Close to great bars and bistros as well as Metro in a non-touristy part of town. Wholeheartedly recommend.
Completely renovated with hardwood floors and new bathrooms. Impeccably clean, comfortable beds, great sleeping. Located on a leafy, quiet boulevard steps from Place de la Nation with excellent connections to all metro lines. Direct Line 2, which runs to Bastille, Louvre and Arc de Triomphe. Charming and knowledgeable owners and staff, I would return without hesitation. in-room safe, nice hairdryer, good lighting in the bathroom.
It is not did not like. The rooms are very small - but in Paris that is pretty much the norm.
The hotel was very clean and well kept. Day time staff were very helpful and the hotel manager seems very pleasant. It is in a good location, two minutes walk from Picpus metro station. It is in a nice quiet residential area, much nicer than some areas we visited on our travels! (We got no hassle from beggars or hobos in that area and it looked nice too)!
The rooms were small, my Mum and I booked a superior twin room and it was adequate, but we were glad we had booked the slightly bigger room.
Room was as advertised, very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Metro was very close to hotel.
The hotel was too far away from attractions.
Clean, friendly hotel, slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas, but close to metro and plenty of restaurants nearby.
Without fail and across all times of day and night members of staff were attentive and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. A reported problem was fixed immediately. Both the hotel and our room were very clean and comfortable and set in an attractive and safe area. Excellent Metro access. Would highly recommend a stay.
This isn't really a grumble but anyone in ground floor Room 1 (which is the disabled access room and therefore by Parisian standards HUGE - a real plus) should be aware that the little open courtyard (which is the smoking area and also has tables set for breakfast) and the access door to this courtyard are right outside the room. Late-night smokers and early breakfasters could disturb you. We weren't really bothered by this and felt that the bonus of all the extra space and the very large wet room bathroom more than made up for any slight disturbance we did encounter.
Very friendly staff with good English skills. Very comfortable hotel albeit the rooms are small which is to be expected in Paris. Very convenient for Nation/Picpus RER/metro.
Nothing - it was all good
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Air conditioning was invaluable in the thirty six degree heat! Worked very well. Very clean. Good breakfast. Good location close to metro, shops and bicycle station
No parking facility except underground close by which was very expensive.
excellent customer service, near metro station, but in quite dangerous area.
Very nice location, still close to City Center but without crowds of tourists, good local restaurants with very good food reasonable priced, rooms aren very small but clean, Bed comfortable, breakfast ok close to metro station
We were very happy about the hotel with one exception: one lady in the reception. I cant not call her "never smiling lady" as I noticed she smiled ... ONCE - when her boss come. She answers most questions starting with "it's impossible..." All the rest - no complains....
The staff were very nice and helpful. It's very close to the metro and there is a very excellent boulangerie/patisserie for breakfast. Walking the Promenade Plantee to get to and from the Bastille as a point of departure for touring the city was really a highlight that I think most people visiting Paris never get to see. It is fantastic!
The rooms are rather small and our shower was tiny. We are not large people and felt a bit cramped.
The staff were very friendly and would help you with directions or any other matter you needed help with. The hotel is just accross the road from the metro. The hotel was lovely and excellent value for money,i would definately recomend it .
Staff very friendly and helpful, room lovely size and very clean. Great location as it was nice and peaceful and has a lovely boulangerie just up the road!
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Lots of tips with transport and sight seeing. Room was comfortable.
The people who run this hotel are very nice and helpful. Metro not far away.
Room so small hardly room to walk beside bed. Bathroom small. Thin walls. Could hear people using the bathroom next door. A long ways from city center.
Staff were very professional and room was very well maintained.
Bathroom was unnecessarily small since bedroom had quite a bit of unused space. If nothing else, a comfy chair would be nice in this extra space in the bedroom.
Simple hotel with all of the essentials covered along with very helpful and friendly staff. Located very close to two metro stations making for good transport links to the centre of Paris.
Clean cosy room. Lovely view. Clean modern bathroom. Friendly helpful staff, good breakfast.
Nice hotel near the Nation.
WiFi worked great just one day. After that it was extremely bad.
The cleanliness. Polite and very helpful staff. My room was very small, but not too small - it had a gorgeous view, the bathroom was clean and modern, and the heating control responded quickly. It was very cosy. The location is good too - very close to Picpus metro and a short stroll from Nation (RER, so you get to the center very quickly). An awesome patisserie very nearby too.
Quiet location, easy access to Metro/RER and friendly, helpful staff.
It wasn't a problem to us, but some might find the rooms a bit small.
10 min walking to Metro station "Nation" where there're 4-5 metro lines. A Italian restaurant nearby, although the staff were not very warm (like elsewhere in Paris) but the food was good.
Wifi was unstable in room, got disconnected from time to time. Sound proof can be improved, could hear guests coming home and shower in next room.
Space not very low
Area is very pleasant. Wide open streets, interesting & varied buildings. Easy walk to a main Metro terminus (Nation). Nearby supermarkets and a street drinking fountain ~ useful for topping up water bottles. Also several local cafes/Restaurants. Had 2 good meals at "Chez Prosper" ~ see Googlemaps reviews.
A metro line runs nearby. Tho' a light sleeper and of good hearing i still slept well.
Room is nice and clean.
A bit small and a bit far from metro station (10mins' walk). I say this because I stayed in another hotel just one day before this one. That one is of a similar price (a few euros' difference), but with a larger room and is just 2 mins' walk from Gare de Lyon. So I think there are absolutely better deals to get.
