Very nice staff and very good location
Beds very hard and uncomfortable
a good hotel having an excellent location for the centre of paris. staff very helpful, the breakfast has a good selection and freshly cooked, would definitely stay there again.
bedroom a bit on the small side
Location - d'Orsay and the metro were right down the street - Lourve right across the street. Breakfast was easy and very reasonable for what you got - the beds were comfortable thank goodness.
The noise from the street is unbearable - all night log - room was too hot so had to open the window but the noise was too much. I not recommend this hotel is you want a quiet sleep.
The staff, especially Girard, was superb. Very helpful and kind. Breakfast was excellent with eggs cooked to order. The croissants were indescribably good! Hotel has lots of "character" and our bed was very close to the floor! We were on the river and the views were wonderful. It's a busy street but there are double paned windows that block most of the sound. We weren't bothered. There's no A/C so I'd worry about staying there when the weather is hot.
Excellent location, very helpful staff and typical 3 Star European facility
Hotel showing signs of wear
-Location was excellent. Easy access to Or say and Love museums. -Staff spoke English and were helpful and polite. - Had an elevator (though small). - Street view had beautiful view on Seine and Love.
- Towels were thin. - Room floors were creaky and noisy and while not super noisy, it is on a major street, though it was fairly quiet at night. - The door doesn't lock behind you, son you need to turn the key when you are in the the night and leave for the day or the default us unlocked. - It was difficult to find nearby convenience store or ATM. For our one night stay, it was fine, but when we return next time we would stay in nearby St. Germain which would put you farther from the museums, but closer to shops, bakeries, grocries, street food, crepe stands (you mustbtry!) and such.
Location was excellent Close to everything but remaining quiet
Breakfasts great . Beautiful bread and cherry conserve , Excellent coffee , Excellent juice . Good advice re dinner at la Fregarde , loved it .
Plastic glasses in rooms Cold showers on first morning
The hotel is situated right by the river with fantastic views of the river and bridges and opposite the Louvre. Right in the heart of Paris. The staff were very helpful, particularly Nelson, who helped me with my French. The room was very clean and comfortable, and from the 5th floor (there is a lift) had spectacular views.
Wifi was only available downstairs, and probably the lower floors but not on the 5th floor.
Great people to help at reception means a more enjoyable stay! Learn from their friendly, helpful front desk staff!
The hotel is in an excellent location. The staff were helpful with any request for directions.
We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel but in the location there are several cafe options.
Great location. I walked to almost every attractions I intented to in the city. As a solo female traveller I felt fairly safe to return late at midnight. The view outside the window was really fancinating. Friendly staffs, good wifi connection and equipments in the room. 个人是没有觉得对中国人态度不好啦。 To the staff: I was in a hurry to the gare in the early morning without face-to-face check out. Hope you recieve my fee without difficullties.
The wooden floor in my room sounds while stepping on it, and it's not quite flat.
Great location. Helpful staff. Good value for money.
The hotel is located in an incredible location, right on the river, between Museum D'Orsay and the Louvre. Walking distance to many landmarks, plenty of restaurants, café and close to many Metro stations as well. The view of the river is amazing. The bathroom in our room was comfortable, and the hot water flow was excellent and immediate. Could use another shelve in the bathroom. Big nice soaking tub. Two big closets and large safe. The Wi Fi signal was very strong, and had no problems downloading even bigger files. The breakfast was reasonable and good basic continental found in most places...the orange juice was freshly squeezed and coffee was delicious.
The room should have an air conditioner, not just a fan, as one wants to keep the windows closed (there is a lot of traffic on that street, if you chose to be on that side of the hotel, which has the view...). When you close the window, you can't hear anything, as they are probably triple pane-very quiet, but not much air flow, if the weather is on the hotter side. If you don't want to deal with it, take the back side, or if you want fresh air, ear plugs will do. Could use newer mattresses and pillows, as well as thicker towels...
The location was fantastic, just opposite the louvre, had a velo (hire bike) stand right outside the door and easy walking and biking distance to everything you want to see in central Paris. The bed was comfortable, great double glazing as very noisy with the windows open. The bathroom was clean enough. I enjoyed my stay here and I am very fussy. :)
The carpet was really stained and rooms very small, but the beds were comfy and the double glazing fantastic as the traffic noise is loud with the windows open. The photos on the website make the rooms look quite a bit more spacious than what they are... Expect small, and a bit used, but great view if you are out the front.
Hotel prices are high in Paris, and this place has mid-level costs with an incredible location. It isn't fancy, but is quite comfortable.
Excellent staff, Gerard & Oliver tres bien . Liked the wine bar
This hotel is good value for the money, the room was a decent size for Europe, clean and comfortable. We requested a higher up room with a view of the river. The higher up room was to avoid the road noise. We couldn't hear any traffic noise from the 3rd floor with the balcony doors shut, when you open them different story way too loud but to be expected on a busy road. The hotel is just across the road from the Louvre, hop on hop off bus departs just up the road and public transport. Only let down was the lack of food facilities at the hotel. They have an onsite restaurant which we gave up trying to get breakfast at. There was one lady who didn't speak very good english trying to serve the few people in the restaurant which looked painful and took a long time, we gave up and ate elsewhere.
There is nothing about the hotel I don't like.
As other reviewers have commented, can't' beat the location.
I left hearing aids on our room table and I had a friend who speaks French call to inquire twice and the staff basically blew him off (we were in Tours when I remembered I left them). Staff was polite but not what I would describe as overly friendly. Wi-fi was very poor, intermittent connection and usually had to stand by our front door to connect. Very noisy with windows open although the view of the Seine and Louvre was great. The windows were double paned so it was nice and quiet when closed but then the room would get very stuffy. Bring earplugs to sleep with the windows open.
Very comfortable hotel, excellent helpful staff, WiFi available on the ground floor, breakfast served until 11am, all made for a great vacation.
I liked the location
The mattress was awful and we could feel the springs in it. The area was far too tight and while awake in the middle of the night I could hear the neighbor peeing through the thin walls.
The staff were exceptionally accommodating in every way. For a left bank, Paris hotel, the rooms were of good size. In general, the hotel was more than we expected.
Overlooking the Seine, perfect.
Breakfast was not very good. Bed had a sag to it.
Firstly, the location is excellent - it's right opposite the Louvre. I visited with my mother and my girlfriend and we stayed in a triple room. The bed were cosy, the room was spacious and the bathroom was clean and roomy. We had an incredible view, framed by huge windows that opened all the way out. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking to be situated in the heart of the city.
