In the 7th district of Paris, just a 12-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, Cler Hotel offers a terrace, 24-hour reception and room service. The Esplanade des Invalides is just over a quarter mile...

thin walls. slept well until the drunk guy next door arrived home, hit the sack loudly and then snored as though he was sawing logs. I heard every breath....
The staff was not friendly or particularly helpful. We felt like we were inconveniencing them to ask a question. Also, you are not allowed any food or drinks in the room unless they come from the hotel bar/restaurant.
The room was an adequate size and was clean, but really the view of the Seine is spectacular! It is also an easy walk to the Orsay Museum, Notre Dame etc...It is in the heart of the art gallery district.
Like in most hotels in Europe the room was small but since we spent so little time in it this was not a problem.
Perfect location with incredible view. We walked to all the sites.
Bath door maintannace necessary and no fan in the bathroom
Tiny lift - a claustrophic's nightmare, but probably standard in older buildings in Paris.
Since I opted for the slightly larger room category the room size was fine - by Paris standards it was big. No city view, but this was clear when booking, so nothing to complain.
The location was fabulous with a four-star view of the Louvre. Small, comfortable and quiet. Just two blocks to the Musee d"Orsay metro stop.
Needing to leave
The staff were really great. Especially the night concierge / porter who seemed to actually enjoy giving us our late night drinks. The hotel was very clean and as I only had a single room I can't really comment too much. However my room was good and a good bathroom. Blown away by the view from the room and the wonderful Saint Getmain area right behind the Hotel. I have been to Paris a few times but this is the best area. Also all the famous sites are within walking distance. Well worth a visit this place
It was a freezing cold evening in Paris and the room was just so cosy when I got to it - I didn't want to leave again. When I returned later there was no chef on duty - they did offer to bring him in, but I was quite happy with a plate of cheese and a glass of red wine for which I was charged the princely sum of €6 - I'll be back!
Only stayed one night so hard to comment but breakfast seemed overpriced for what you get compared to other hotels we used.
Location. Views over the Seine. Comfortable clean rooms.
He was arrogant to guests.
He arranged reasonable transportation to the airport.
I didn't like that on New Year's Eve there was no room service or food available to me.
I loved the thank you card/painting that I got to take home with me :)
best view in paris and good location
We stayed for three nights in November, and would recommend this hotel. You could not ask for a better location, the staff was always pleasant, we had no problems with the internet and the view from our rooms; could not have been better.
Very Small Room
Double bed was not standard and was small for two people who are both 180cm plus. Breakfast room seemed a little dreary so we chose to walk to the nearest Eric Kayser bakery or down the block to a the restaurant with a terrace.
Location suited us extremely well. Very close to Louvre, Orsy and Orangerie Museums. Balconies on the fourth floor are worth asking for. We had no problems with the staff as they handled all our request professionally.
would have liked to have tea making facilities in the room, like most hotels. Internet was ok but slow at times and you have to log in constantly.
The best thing about this hotel is the location, with views of the River Seine and the Louvre. Hotel is very dated and there are not tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the room service menu is limited.
The only thing I didn't like about this hotel is that the walls are paper thin and we had a very argumentative couple staying in the next room to us which was rather annoying.
Location was fab, our room overlooked river sien and the louvre, and musee d'osay is on the same street. We walked everywhere. Staff are friendly, we didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Brill hotel would defo go back
Could not fault it.
Excellent location. Beautiful view from the room across the river to the Louvre. Very helpful staff. Very nice hotel, excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
Also plenty of nice restaurants in immediate area. We had a river facing room which was great to watch the passing traffic up and down the river seine. Staff were polite and helpful. Would use again.
Perfect location for seeing the sights of Paris by foot!
That I couldn't stay longer!
The location is perfect; it is centrally placed and most of the tourist sights are within walking distance. The view from the room was wonderful. The staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Price paid (through booking.com) represented excellent value.
The rooms were very small but it wasn't important as we were there to see Paris.
Now we have found this hotel we will book it every time we are in Paris as the location was brilliant. We walked everywhere as it was so central, opposite the Louvre and next to the Musee Orsay. The view from the bedroom across the Seine was stunning.
Acces to Wifi was hopeless and nobody was able to help. I finally got mail in/ out in Lyon after visiting the Apple store.
The view from my room. Tha location so near to all venues I wished to visit. The atmosphere of the hotel. The feeling of really being in Paris. The friendliness of staff. The cleanliness of the room .
The room was very small but you get what you pay for and considering the location we couldn't really complain. Tiny flies in the room at night but I only saw three of them and they were on the ceiling and didn't fly around. The lift was also extremely small but again, it did the job and was way better than climbing the stairs up to the fifth floor. Hotel and rooms are a bit dated but it all added to the experience so again not really that much of a negative! On the whole... Very happy and not much to complain about :))
The location of the hotel was perfect. A 5 min walk from the Louvre, 10 mins from Musee D'Orsay, 15 mins from Notre Dame and 35 min walk from the Eiffel Tower. The metro stop was at Musee D' Orsay so not far at all. Myself and my Wife and our 18 month old loved the trip, but the metro stations are not always pushchair friendly hence the walking! The Batobus stop is also a 5-10 min walk and that goes to all the popular locations and you can but a daily pass if needed. Disneyland was a 40 min train ride away from Châtalet - Les Halles which was about a 20 min walk from the hotel, again you could get the metro and walk less but we liked the walk :) The hotel was clean on the whole. Room was made up every day with fresh towels and sheets. Our room was front facing with a view of the Siene which was amazing! Staff were very friendly and always happy to help. Even when we asked them to warm up milk for the little one. We went to the local Carrefour Supermarket and bought milk but the one day we didn't have any, the hotel gave us milk at no charge! Wonderful :)) Hotel food was a tad expensive but there were plenty of cheap places to eat right next to Notre Dame, and for those who are interested...Lots of Halal places too!
Have been coming back to this hotel for 10 years, and the magic of the location never fails to get to us. Standing on your balconey to gaze across the Seine at the Louvre and Pont Neuf is the best feeling. It's pure Parisian joy. Very close to so many attra tions, either by foot or by hopping on the Metro. Staff very helpful and thoughful. Continental breakfast at 11 euro seems expensive, but is about the average for this part of town. If you don't want to pay for the continental breakfast, suggest asking for a pot of coffee or tea and a croissant-satisfying and around 6 Euros.
