The Hotel is classified as a 3 star, but the service and helpfulness of the staff and the cleanliness of the room was by far more superior. If I ever go to St Malo again, I will definitely stay at this hotel There is nothing I didn't like, i had a most relaxing and memmoriable holiday

First and foremost we liked the pleasant and helpful attitudes of all the staff without exception, most of whom spoke good English. My wife particularly liked the heater in the bathroom, a plentiful supply of hot water and a warm bedroom. We were there late October. Having asked for a quiet room we were given one, without incurring any negative elements. The buffet-style breakfast was varied, plentiful and excellent. The reception is manned 24/7, always with polite, pleasant and helpful staff. The hotel has limited parking within a secure area adjoining the hotel. This parking cannot be booked in advance, but we managed to obtain a place each day. We would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again on the occasion of another visit to Saint Malo.

I visit my son and his French family generally twice a year. I always stay one or two nights in St m on my return journey to uk. I have stayed at Ajoncs d'Or, Elizabeth etc but I shall stay at du Louvre in future. It is also easiernto locate having found the St m oneway systemmost frustrating

I really liked its location within the wall of old town st malo. We never stayed there before so it was by pure chance that I found it on the internet. The friends who came with us already want to go back and o something similar in the summer. A very enjoyable night was had by all four of us!

Very little The hotel advertised guest parking which was the main reason I chose it. However, on arrival I was told that the car park was full and I would have to park in a public car park some minutes away. The public car park was also full and I had to queue for over an hour to wait for a parking space - at considerable extra cost. The room (I had paid extra for a premium room) was basic to say the least. The noise from revellers in the street, which went on until 4am, was awful. The lift could take two people at a push, but no chance of two people plus luggage. A basic breakfast for which they charge €12 was a complete rip off. I would stay clear of this hotel.

We liked - the warm welcome, that we were given the room requested, helpful receptionists, the location, the comfortable bed, the lay-out of the bathroom (designed with handicapped people in mind) the breakfast, the lift. I can think of mothing except the car park next door - hard to access and no room in it - lost a bit of paintwork before we decided to go elsewhere to park.

Very Helpful Staff. Comfortable and well appointed room. Limited Car parking available. Suggest you plan to park outside the old town where there is good secure parking, and walk to the hotel.

Hotel du Louvre is a very nice small hotel conveniently situated intramuros in the beautiful city of St. Malo. It was very easy to reach, just a walking distance from the main entrance in the old city walls. Our room was silent, confortable and luminous. The hotel staff was absolutly friendly and helpful. We totally recomend this pleasant hotel in St. Malo.

Comfortable room, helpful and friendly staff, excellent buffet breakfast, great location 'intra muros' - within the walls on St Malo. Had adjoining rooms which was very helpful as travelling with my parents and my young children so they could have the run of two rooms. Very interesting town - make sure you walk all way round the ramparts. Interesting and varied shops and restaurants. If looking for the main restaurants go towards the main gate out of the town rather than into the middle as most of the restaurants seemed to be in this area - well out of season anyway. Would visit again
