Built from timber in the traditional Savoie style, this hotel is ideally located in Tignes, just 100 metres from the Espace Killy ski area. The Ecrin du Val Claret features comfortable guestrooms fitted with natural wood furniture. Each room is equipped with flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi internet access. After an active day on the slopes, relax in the hotel's lounge on a sofa next to the open fireplace or unwind in the sauna or by the swimming pool. We loved the hotel layout and decor and were delighted when the staff changed one of the rooms so we could have an inter-connecting room with the children. The staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful and the ski facilities (lockers, boot warming room etc) were great. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel bar closed too early! Would prefer that the spa provided towels and had better changing room facilities (more space!!) and a couple more showers. 2 out of the 3 showers worked and had to share with the men!

We were upgraded into the Nevada Suites which is a hotel run by the same chain. We were a little apprehensive to start and it was a little annoying as we had to reload the car and move but the rooms at the Nevada Suites were huge and very pleasant. Staff were more helpful in the Nevada Suites than in the Ecrin where they were helpful but had a little bit of attitude. The location of both hotels was very good, both close to the lifts although the Nevada Suites is a little closer to the more lifts. As Val Clarin is very small, its very easy to get around whereever you are. The pool, jacuzi, sauna are really nice and relaxing and very glam. The beds are HUGE and very comfortable. Breakfast is nice and the breakfast service is good. Small points that are useful to know before you go to help with packing rather than to disuade travellers - the hair driers are rubbish and the type where you have to hold the button down the whole time to make it work. I would expect better of a four star hotel but easily over come by taking your own. The AV system is a bit complicated but works well once you have got the hang of it. There is a DVD player in each room of the Nevada Suites but the selection of films is very limited so take some with you. For some reason, despite the very luxurious bathroom and products, there was no shower gel. As we were upgraded to this Nevada Suites and only paid the rate for the Ecrin, I can't comment on the value for money of either of them.

Very pleasant atmosphere,very relaxed,warm and clean. Restaurant at the hotel only serves breakfast but adjoining Chalet Bouvier Restaurant very good and convenient. Nice swimming pool and gym facilities.

nice small hotel, very cosy, problem to have 2 wifi codes for one room, very quiet in hotel only 6 guests, restaurant presentation of food bad a bit far from ski slopes (500 meters) very small rooms

tout est parfait dans cet ecrin!!! c'est notre 3eme séjour et nous sommes toutjours enchantés .on s'y sent tellement bien, le personnel est top, tout est super pensé , pratique et facile pour que notre séjour soit un vrai enchantement absolument aucun point négatif

Le charme de l'hôtel, tout en bois, vraiment "cosy",le bar dans un environement très convivial, l'accès a la piscine-jacuzzi, sauna, hammam. La chambre au 1er étage coince entre les 2 ascenseurs = dommage -> bruyant jusque tard le soir et tôt le matin. Éviter la chambre 4 !!!!

Le cadre, confort, gentillesse personnel, le buffet du petit déjeuner, la propreté le SPA (eau fraiche), sièges à bulles inexistants et manque de confort général de celui-ci. Pas de jaccuzzi non plus? 1h d'attente avant d'avoir l'entrée de servie au restaurant de l'hôtel. Trop long!!! Pour le reste, nous avons superbement mangé et le cadre était magnifique.

Hôtel extrêmement chaleureux et accueillant. Avec une organisation des espaces fonctionnelle pour le rangement du matériel. Sans oublier la salle de sport très appréciable. Rien !

Le personnel était très sympathique et aimable. Les chambres super. Déjeuner copieux Piscine très bien Le restaurant juste à côté est de très grande qualité,accès sans sortir de l'hôtel. Le wifi qui se déconnecte souvent. Sinon aucune remarque négative.

L accueil, les portes ski et chauffe chaussures, l accès direct aux pistes, le cadre, le Spa, le personnel. Il fait froid dans la bâtiment et pas très chaud dans les chambres
