Just be aware that the Booking.com rate does not include breakfast which is 9.50 euros - not a problem for us and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
Neafchateau is a good stopping off point in an area with limited overnight choice - though I imagine it might also be a good place to stop to look around the region rather than travelling through as we did. The hotel is being refurbished though it's quite modern anyway. The electricity was off when we arrived and we couldn't be checked in, but the staff sat us in the bar with a free drink and we only waited about 20 minutes. The room wasn't huge but there was a separate toilet and large bathroom with a powerful walk in shower, lots of storage and hanging space, double bed with a king size quilt which was great, air-conditioning, TV, desk etc. Bed was really comfy. Although near a road junction, we found the room really quiet, and with the shutters down we slept very well. Dinner was served in the bar as the restaurant is being refurbished, good quality ingredients simply cooked (chicken with mushroom stuffing and roasted veg; cod in butter sauce with savoury rice). Breakfast was also in the bar, a good selection including eggs, yoghurt, meat, cheese, very good croissants. Nice and bustling with businessmen having coffee before work, students meeting up etc. And we were able to use the hotel garage which was great for our little car. The town is small but the centre appears quite prosperous, with at least 4 bars for those of us who like a walk and a beer somewhere outside the hotel before dinner. Overall a good stop, we'll definitely head for the Hotel Eden again when in the area.
