The room included a wet room rather than just shower room which was attractively tiled, and had everything except a drinking mug/cup. It was supposed to be for disabled person, a door-seal on the floor made it a hazard. There was a square hole in the ceiling with no trapdoor, and hardly any where to put clothes, etc. The room had need of decorating, and being properly furnished and set out so one could use properly. Telephone was not connected

This place is surrounded with Asian people, you can speak many Chinese dialects in the market and many restaurants on the street. And near Pyranee station many Chinese stuffs are selling here. The floor with a lot of hair and the sweat & food smells of the non ventilation lift. Due to no maintenance wifi box fitted outside the room not work, available only nearby the reception.

The hotel is in a typical Parisian backstreet. The best way to describe it is, as one local put it to me, 'Very French!' Being quite a distance from the city centre and the local tourist traps it was apparent from the time we left the nearby Metro station that very few tourists go to this area. This fatr alone made it absolutley fantastic! Whilst we did the usual exploration of Notre Damme, Eiffel Tower and The Louvre, we also spent a surprising amount of time very close to the hotel. The reason for this was that it offered a true French experience, lacking the usual Angloscized bars and menus with wording in English. We were rewarded with traditional French cooking at a fraction of the price, first rate service and a great selection of local night markets to peruse as we made out way to and from the hotel. My favorite thing about the hotel was its proximity to a local Tabac. Having spent years exploring France, this place has to rank in the top 3 of all time! The setting itself is very old fashioned with classical lights and worn down mirrors. What made it really great though was the wine we had by the glass; 1er Cru Burgundies, both red and white at just 2 euros a glass! The hotel itself is fairly basic but very clean and well presented, surprisingly the staff spoke good English and were very welcoming. The room was large with an en-suite shower/toilet and at just £30 a night I can't really think of a bad word to say about it!

unique positive points: many shops in local area around the hotel and hotel is close to metro entrance Note: even so the price of the room seems to be very nice at the first look, I do not see it as a positive point due to the dirtiness of the room. 1) very dirty room, not correctly cleaned, a lot of dust. In addition I had even to delete some bugs walking on the walls close to bed area. 2) TV was available in room but no telecommand and at the TV itself the buttons did not allow to switch on the TV/channels... Comment from reception: we only have a limited number of telecommands and the hotel is fully booked 3) internet is not functioning in the rooms (fire doors are blocking signal on each level) - woks only fine at reception area an in the stairs area.

First we arrived at 930a. The night-clerk was unfriendly and unhelpful. Keep in mind We had a 9h flight, we arrived in Paris and it was extremely cold. Usually Hotels allow you to check-in. To our greatest dismay, the clerk was arguing with us, and that we should wait until 2pm to check-in, so we had to basically setup camp at the reception. When we politely asked if there was any room available while waiting, the clerk that the cleaning crew was late today so we should wait. Around 12p the "acting" manager arrived and with a clever trickery, gave us a room at the basement level: a room designed for a disabled person, with nothing in it, no tv, no dresser, not even towels or complimentary toiletries, bed sheets were not clean (we had to rest with our coats on). Then the "acting" manager told us that we have to wait the following day to have our initial room. That did not fly with us at all and there is enough ground to be upset. To add salt to injury the ceiling of our room had a big hole in it, with the "acting" manager stating that he never say the inside of that room (a room designed for disabled). He forced us to pay for two hours of stay at the price of a full night plus tourism taxes, when we truly had enough and decided to leave and find another hotel with the proper "standing". No apologies whatsoever from that "acting" manager. He also had the nerves to ask for my id while my credit card had my full photo id on the front. This hotel does not advertise that they are a homeless shelter as well. It goes without saying that we will never go back to that place and that we will make a point of advertising their poor customer service, to all our friends and family wishing to stay in Paris on a budget. I truly hope that they will look into that lack of standards.

THe room wasn't cleaned and so small that I could baerly move after opening my case. The bathroom had no real shower, just a showerhead hanging above the sink. The bed was uncomfortable and the walls were so thin that I woke up 3 times that night because of a baby of guests which have been 2 rooms away. DO NOT GO THERE. What ever the price is, its not worth its money.

We did not like anything The hotel is very dirty, bed and sheets are super old, there were no proper pillows, just some kind of rolled blankets. Worse of all is that the beds were full of bedbugs! we moved out from the hotel (if you can call it so) immediately after we found out this. This is to say that after 20 minutes we were asleep, bedbugs came out biting! And then we moved out in the middle of the night. I strongly discourage anyone to stay at that hotel. It was overpriced without bedbugs, with them this hotel is not worth to consider at all.
