Hotel Edouard VII  

I liked the location and the appearance of the hotel. The staff were friendly, efficicient and informative.

This hotel is a quiet,relaxing, haven to return to after being out and about the town,walking the various beaches,visiting Bayonne or whatever.If it is hot and sunny it provides welcome relief from the heat,but ample sunlight still is allowed in and it is a cheerful building in all weather,rain or sunshine.The building is well maintained,very clean,hoovered regularly, authentically decorated and faithful to its historical associations,having been once the home to Princess Eugenies' personal physician,I'm told.There are nice aromas throughout and the breakfast room is particularly charming.Free wi fi is offered, and it works well . We brought our laptop which proved handy as there had been a two day dispute at a t c in the local airport just before we came out and it kept us informed.The breakfast isn't lavish but at ten euro per person is still great value, in lovely sorroundings, and there are plenty of rolls and croissants etc.The staff are all very pleasant and have good english.On the day of our departure the lady on reception ordered our taxi and it arrived exactly on time.

Some mornings I would have liked a second glass of their pure orange juice,but hate having to ask and there was no jug ther to help yourself, the same applied to the coffee.Still great value though, and I wouldn't like to have been trying to get breakfast in the town to match the value on offer in the hotel.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of Biarritz.Lovely furniture and decorations. Friendly staff.Would definitely stay again.

The room was lovely and large. They have added wireless internet which was great. The locations was perfect.

They do not have an elevator and we were on the 2nd floor (3rd by N. American terms) so it was a bit of a walk. The receptionist helped us with our backs when we arrived. For the elderly, it would be quite a challenge. The breakfasts were a bit inconsistent... Hard-boiled eggs on one day out of the three.

The rooms were superb, good location, staff extremely helpful. Decor superb. Would thoroughly recommend it...

Large, w,ell appointed rooms with a real touch of class. Goodosition.

Excellent location within walking distance of town's bars and restaurants. Breakfast good and nice to take on the terrace.

There are a few rooms in the semi basement- we had one which was a family room and it was a good size with separate childrens bed area, but the windows were on to the pavement level and we didn't feel comfortable opening them at night. I wouldn't book that room again, but I would go back to the hotel.

Breakfast was expensive for what you got.

Excellent and charming hotel located in a very nice neighborhood close to the center and the beaches. The rooms are nicely decorated and very cosy. Our room had an amazing seaview

Do not accept French "cheque vacances"

Beautifully designed and well kept small hotel. Friendly helpful staff speaking english. A stone through from center in a more quite street. Free internet and powerful hairdryer. Would love to stay there again.

The hotel is very well appointed being less than 2 minutes walk from the Les Halles area where there are a number of good restaurants. It is also 5 minutes walk from the centre of Biarritz and a short walk from the beach. The hotel is nicely decorated inside in the classic french style, but has modern bathrooms and flat screen TV, free WIFI and even a laptop to access the internet if you need it. They often light candles at reception which adds the the relaxing ambience. The breakfast is reasonable and taken in a pretty breakfast room. I've stayed their twice now and enjoyed it both times.

Can't say that there was much that I didn't like about the hotel. One morning on my first visit they were redoing the floor so the lounge/breakfast room was unavailable, but the end result (on my following visit) was well worth the effort, it looks lovely.

een prachtig gerenoveerd herenhuis waar de stijl uit vervlogen tijden bewaard is gebleven. kamer, badkamer, bedden en meubels alle in excellente staat en van goede kwaliteit. ontbijt prima verzorgd, zeer vriendelijk personeel. ligging vlakbij zee/strand en stadscentrum.
