The location was really good close to train and bus stations. The breakfast was excellent and served in a beautiful outside courtyard.
My room faced the street and was very noisy. I had to close the windows and then the room was hot.
Such a change from hotels I stayed in Paris and Marseille would recommend and use this hotel again, staff were friendly polite and it was great.
Nothing at all.
the garden for a very good breakfast
it needs a bit of refurbish
The hotel is very well situated for arrivals/departures from Menton bus station. The garden where breakfast is served is an oasis of calm in an otherwise busy and noisy town (at least at the height of the summer season).
Yes, it has only 2 stars but we enjoyed it very much, has a nice garden for breakfast, and a nice terrace with a view, the rooms are very comfortable and CLEAN, quite small but ok. Close to the shops, beach, cafes, bus etc. Good parking around. Nice people and good coffee..............I have copied this review from a previous guest because it covers my view also. Staff really are very polite and helpful indeed.
Breakfast location (garden) and the service : very nice lady
All the rest
Excellent price, close to station and pleasant stroll to beach and older part of town. Nice simple breakfast in courtyard.
This is a hidden gem - an authentic French country house, complete with flower-filled garden (where breakfast is served) and roof terrace with great views! Nothing is too much trouble for the staff - there's even a fridge for guests' use.
No air con
breakfast in the garden
immediate surroundings; looks like construction may start soon
it was closed at 11.30pm and I had to go to another hotel.
Very helpful staff. Clean and Comfortable Stay. The location is good. It is close to the beach, and very close to bus station.
Location was perfect, lots of shops, bars & restaurants around. Nice rooms, good wifi connection, friendly staff (although they do not speak much english) lovely courtyard and terrace!
There's no air con in the rooms

Maybe a frige in the room woul be a plus.
Well located for rail and bus stations. There are nearby grocery shops and boulangerie/patisserie for reasonable cheap food. A basic hotel so no real complaints.
As ever in France, the breakfast is inadequate with little beyond croissants and basic bread and confiture.
The hotel is conveniently located in Menton. It is only 5-10 minutes’ walk from the train station, which serves Ventimiglia to Cannes, and one block from a stop of Bus 100 that runs from Menton to Nice via Monte Carlo. The staff is friendly and helpful if you have questions. The breakfast is not bad although it gets dull after a few days; maybe, changing the pastries or the freshly squeezed juice might help.
This is a budget hotel and finding some limitations in space and comfort should not be a surprise but finding bed bug bites on your legs, arms and torso is. Room #6, at least, should be treated for bed bugs.
Reception people is very helpful and patient. Perfect breakfast and location. My strongest suggestion to other travelers.
Staff very friendly. Close to rail/bus, and sea. Roof terrace.
The location as it is round the corner from the train station. We used trains to travel to Monte Carlo and to the airport.
The towels are small and old. The breakfast is boring the same every day (bread selection) . Take your own tea bags as Liptons are not good. Very basic hotel.
Very pleasant and accommodating staff. Overall good value. I would be happy to stay at Edward's again.
Low cost. Nice basic breakfast.
Room small and dated. Smell of cleaning solution. Location back from Water and shops.
Close to the center and to the station. Small rooms but clean and comfortable.
The rooftop terrace was the saving grace for this place. The bathroom was modern and the shower was good.
The photos on the website make it look much better than it is. The corridors are dull and grey. I think we were given the worst room in the place, as it was dark and dull, with no view and a broken window. We peeked into a couple of other rooms as they were being cleaned and they seemed brighter. We were put off by the dark brown towels in the bathroom. If it were 15 Euros a night less, it would seem like a fair value.
mold in the corner of the room and in the bathroom
Located near the city centre. Nice staff.
