It's no great shakes, but there were two electric plugs in the room which simply did not work! Luckily, there was another one by the bed, into which we connected our laptop, kettle, phone top up, etc.
Good value, convenient, friendly staff, all our were expectations met.
Very friendly staff, amazing location, just a couple of minutes away from Place Bellecour, close to the old town of Lyon too
The location is the best, walking distance from Place Bellecourt, Vieux Lyon, Arts Museum, etc. The staff is so friendly. They always tried to make us feel comfortable. The room is small but beds are comfortable and bath clean. The price was good for the convenience
No continental breakfast, no buffet (croissant, baguette, jam, coffee and glace of orange juice). The size of the room, stairs, elevator, restaurant – but honestly, I did't expect anything else in a typical French apartment house in the city centre...
Perfect geographic position (2 minutes’ walk from Bellecour square and 2 main subway lines station, 5 minutes' walk from the old town)! Very nice, helpful and smiling staff! Perfectly clean, comfortable and extremely quiet room (on the backyard side)! High speed Wi-Fi everywhere! Bath tub in the bath room!
The breakfast is typically French - coffee, glace of orange juice, croissant, baguette and jam - only sweet... The size of the room, stairs, elevator, restaurant – but don't expect anything else in a typical French apartment house in the city centre...
Couldn't be better regarding geographic position – 2 minutes’ walk from Bellecour square and two main subway lines. Very kind, polite and smiling staff! Very clean, comfortable and extremely quiet room (on the backyard side)! High speed Wi-Fi everywhere! Bath tub in the bath room!
No lift from Ground floor . Need to carry heavy luggage bags from Ground floor to 1st floor . Staff unable to speak english
Location is perfect . Staff is nice . Hotel is clean .,
The hotel is located in the very highest style retail district- in the same block as Dior, Hermes, Swarski, Vuitton, Prada, etc. but the hotel rooms were spartan, with hard bed matresses, very small bathrooms, and a one floor walk up to the lift. Not a bad value, but it was out of character with the neighborhood. If we return to Lyon, we will seek a bit higher comfort hotel, even for a higher cost per night.
Location, location. very good! Central to the city center, Metro, buchons streets, the river walk.
-Location incredible. A few steps from place Bellecour, the central square of Lyon. The old city is at a walkable distance. -Hotel staff super friendly and helpful!
Quiet, clean and fantastic location in the middle of everthing. Easy walk to the old town, divine patisseries, both river banks and top shopping. All staff very pleasant and helpful. Went out for breakfast as bakeries are close by.
Every thing was good
The only possible downside was that the elevator starts one flight up, but that really doesn't matter because you can get help with your luggage. Besides, one flight of stairs is good for your health!
Everyone who worked at this hotel was very friendly and helpful. The proprietor always has a smile. The location and price can't be beat. It's quiet and clean with a good petit déjeuner. A Lyon local who came to visit was surprised that she didn't know the hotel and now intends to recommend it for visitors.
Convenience to main locations of interest to visitors.
Even though it's a two stars hotel, it would be nice to offer more room facilities such as tea and coffee facility.
The location was great, close to everything. The staff are nice.
The hair dryer was useless. The elevator is slow and tiny (cannot fit more than one person and one suitcase). Like others mentioned, stairs are unavoidable (and there's lots of them). The staff was very friendly, but spoke very little English.
The location is excellent. The room was very basic and a little dated but clean. No fuss or frills but it fitted my needs.
Clean rooms, good bed, nice staff
Staff friendliness and location. Very good value for money.
Lots of stairs
In a golden location to explore the old city.
The lift started on the first floor so we had to haul our luggage (and ourselves) up one flight of stairs before getting the lift to our room. Probably not good if mobility is an issue but as a young couple we weren't worried at all.
The location was great - really easy to get out and about and heaps of food options and pubs just a couple of minutes away. The staff were friendly and helpful (and spoke English). Although the rooms were a bit old they were clean. If your main requirement is somewhere affordable, clean and well-located to stay (as it was for us) this place is great.
Location is excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The shower was a hand held type over a bath, but no screen or curtain. When using the shower, water was falling onto the top of bath and along rim and onto floor. No drain hole in bathroom, so extra towels were used to prevent water going onto carpet outside the bathroom. So extra care was to be used whilst showering.
We stayed 3 nights and were happy with the location being very cental and walking distance to sight seeing, shopping and restaurants. The owner was very helpful, friendly and very responsive to any queries. The hotel had a elevator and the room on the fourth floor was clean and compact. The double glazed windows were great to keep outside noise out.
Walk one floor to elevator. The staff is very helpful with our luggages.
It is on a very good location. Close to restaurants. Shops n tourist information subway A is only 3 min walk. Around 8 -10 euro taxi from part Dieu plus luggage fee. It is a two stars hotel, so don't ask too much.
Room size leaves a little to be desired however, we did find plenty of room to store our luggage. This certainly "opened" up the room a little more.
This tiny little hotel, although small, was clean and the bathrooms look as if they were just refinished. If you are planning not to spend much time in the room (due to sightseeing and nothing else) then this is your kind of place. The location is excellent. Just down the block from Etoile, where you will find severarl metro stops (line1,4,6, and RER stops as well) Including the stop for the Air France bus which is still the cheapest way to CDG airport. If you need a place to stay, that is clean, and has an excellent location, this is your spot. As you can imagine, when you walk outside, there are bistros, restaurants, and anything you can think of. One last perk, is that you can walk to the Tour Eiffel within just minutes.
Nothing springs to mind.
It was a great starting point for each day given it's superb location, and one of the easiest hotels to find out of the ones we stayed at on our trip.
