Timhotel Elysée Montparnasse  

Fantastic location - average price for Paris. One room really small and one room decent size but both very clean. Breakfast is very good value and plentiful with charming staff. Staff on the whole very helpfull. Location excellent for bars and restaurants - feels very safe to walk around the area at night. Excellent metro link 100yds away. Also found local people very helpfull.

This hotel was an absolute joy to stay in. Each bedroom was well appointed, albeit slightly small but a good size for Paris, with an incredibly comfortable bed and newly refurbished bathroom. Everything was in excellent condition and cleaned daily. The Hotel is very well located - near 3 separate metro lines - in a safe area with lots of theatres and restaurants. Our room was on an internal courtyard so there was very little street noise. A room on the Rue de la Gaîté however might be a bit noisy. The staff spoke both French and English (and possibly other languages). The day staff were good, however, the person on the night shift was new and therefore still in training.

Small room and bathroom

Very good location, near to two metro station to different metro lines (lots of options to go almost anywhere in Paris by metro). Tiny but comfortable room and a good and decent bathroom, something rare in Paris.

The staff was not very helpfull and made a mess with my Airport Shuttle reservation. In the end I had to get a taxi and pay more than twice the price of the shuttle. And they did nothing to compensate that.

Clean rooms, Nice decoration, nicely situated close to a really nice market with different products every day of the weekend. Nicely located at the border of two great neighborhoods, montpernasse and quartier Latin, with cute squares and cafes/restaurants. Perfectly close to different metro tubes and shopping areas. Free wifi and friendly staff. Very nice for a weekend to Paris, especially if you are a couple.

Small rooms but not annoyingling small.

Location was great. Rooms were as expected for Paris, very small but adequate for a weekend trip.

Walls were a little thin, meaning we were able to hear, everything that went on in our neighbours room!! (And I mean everything)

We liked the location beside many good restaurants, and the Metro. The staff were helpful and courteous. Size of rooms was Ok by European standards. Generally we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again if we were returning to Paris.

Could not find anthing to dislike. Bigger room might have ben nicer but not a big issue

Very nice hotel, very well located. The room, although tiny, was very clean. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, it worthed every penny!.

Very good location for a city-trip. Lively and cosy neighbourhood lots of brasseries, restaurants, metrostations close by. Friendly helpfully staff. Paul

Not very important but a bit noisy

Room too small. No drawer space.

Reception staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous especially a young gentelman called Pierre Minguet. Would definately recommend to others. Hotel is easilly accessiable by Metro and rer. One must remember that downtown hotels are smaller that suburban ones. This hotel has a lot of charm and has been recently refurbished. Room was on interior wall so very quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

Tre magnefique!!!! They gave us an upgrage, a much larger room than expected. Apparently the only one like it in the hotel. It was spacious and the view was amazing. A balcony which we could walk out on and view the area. The dining room had a delightful array of breakfast foods available. The elevator came up and down in a timely manner. The wifi availability was a definate plus. Being able to get e-mail away from home is awesome.

Not all of the staff were friendly and eager to please. One of the desk clerks had no understanding of the area and when we asked for simple direction he had to Google them. They ran out of De-caffinated coffee in the dining room and the waitress suggested we go and get a packet out of our room on the 6th floor, which I did, but not happily.
