Hôtel Elysees Mermoz  

The location is terrific and on a very quiet street. I spent a lot of time researching hotels before selecting the Elysees Mermoz for a four- night trip to Paris with my wife. We were looking for a hotel that was within walking distance of both the high-end shopping my wife desired (on Rue Saint-Honoré) and the specific restaurants I wanted to visit (in the 7th arrondissement)---plus all the touristy locations we had to visit. The hotel's location met all our our requirements. The check-in was smooth, and the room was nicely appointed and of decent size by Paris standards. There are several superb boulangeries within walking distance, so we didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, so I can’t comment on the food, but the hotel is small enough that you can walk in the front door and be in your room in 30 seconds, which is something I enjoy.

I have three general negative comments, which are somewhat small but worth mentioning. First, the bed was as hard as any on which I've ever slept (I.E., really hard); my wife and I are both stomach-sleepers, so it didn't bother us, but it might bother those who sleep on their sides. Second, the hvac system in our room was not functioning, but, given that we were on the fifth floor, it was plenty warm in our room---plus our room had a small terrace that we could use to air out the room---so we never bothered to get the issue addressed. Third, there was construction occurring at the building next to ours, which shared a wall with our room (the wall behind our bed); at 8am every morning, the construction started, and it was very loud (!!!).

Excellent location and service. Room was small but very clean and modern.

We choose the hotel based on location, size of room and comfort. We had our small dog with us so required a good sized room. The staff are helpful, there are so many choices for dining and is a great location for shopping, galleries etc.

We stayed in a suit room (201 no). It was a spacious and comfortable room (compared to other little Paris hotels).Having hot water for tea and coffee is relaxing after a long and tiring day. Hotel has a perfect location, in 5 min you are in Champs- Elyseé but you are away from the noise. shower gel, soap, shampoo.. etc are famous trademark, L'occitane!!

Excellent location, ideal for families with chidren. In walking distance from both Eifel tower, Louvre museum and Galerie Lafayette.

Nice Paris pied a terre

The location was perfect and the reception at the front desk was exceptionally friendly.

We were confused and thought that breakfast was complimentary with our reservation.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Close to everything. Rooms are decent size, clean, quiet and comfortable. Free internet was nice. Staff very helpful. Large elevators up to rooms unlike many paris hotels that have tiny elevators. If you speak only English there are English TV stations however I found that at 11pm for about 2 hours 3 nights in a row they would shut off. I will stay here again and refer friends. Overall a very pleasant stay. N Watson Florida

Staff were friendly, the room was tidy. It was quiet even though our room was facing a street. The water pressure was good and plumbing was in order.

In this day and age and a 4-star hotel must have a free WiFi.

No special touches in the room for the price...ie no iron / ironing board...and quite noisy at night

I liked absolutely everything about the hotel. The staff was gracious, friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet and the location was great. One of the best experiences I have had in Paris

A very clean, modern superior room. Separate toilet and a nice bathroom. Quiet although it's facing the street. Very central location! Quick and efficient check-in.

Hallways are a bit dark, and the ceiling/ shower head were a bit too low for tall people.
