Everything, place furnished with taste, beautiful attic and terrace. Great location
First Class hospitality from owner who was very helpful, thoughtful and contributed significantly to a memorable few days in Carcassonne Excellent location to access old and new town. Breakfasts were a delight. Would recommend this establishment to anyone.
Ideal situation, close to the very touristy old city (a short walk across a beautiful river) but detached from its kitch aspects in a dignified district. Extremely friendly and helpful owner, who recommended very good restaurants and phoned taxis for us. Good breakfasts in a family atmosphere. High level of cleanliness, Superb views of Cite from roof terrace.Lots of space in lounge. All at an excellent price!
A very wellcomming host. good homemade jams and yoghurt for breakfast. 5 min to castle and 5 min to downtown.
bathroom - had to squat to use the shower hose and I´m normal height. Small children in the house, so if you are looking for at romantic weekend without kids - maybe there is a better place - choose a hotel. Next time we visit we would want to stay in Le Cité (the old quater inside the castle walls). very social accomodation - interaction with other guest and host, because you eat breakfast at the same table.
You are immediately made to feel welcome, nothing is a problem. It's a great location, very close to the castle and lots of free parking. The town is only 3 minutes walk and there are plenty of welcoming places to eat.
It was all good!
Myriam is the best hostess. Breakfast is amazing with loads of homemade goodies and served on her lovely patio with other travellers. Roof terrace is amazing w views.Definitely our favorite place. Going back soon.
Nothing. Tip: don't bother with Carcassonne center...the Cite is the place to go. Bars, shops, restaurants galore!
Lovely very comfortable room. Great view from the attic terrace. The owner was very welcoming and made a very delicious breakfast each morning.
On arriving outside of the accommodation you may think what will this be like? But as the door opened sheer delight came over us. The 'host' Myriam was delightful and spoke near perfect English along with a host of other languages. The bedroom was large and comfortable and in an avant-garde style, and to top that a stunning view over to the Walled City from the top floor balcony. Another bonus was the short walk to the delightful town centre and free local parking. All in all 'an absolute gem'.
Everything! Myriam is a perfect hostess; knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. She was able to extend our visit to four nights by swapping rooms around; nothing was too much trouble for her. The beds were very comfy, and the shower excellent. Breakfast in the garden lovely, with heaps of home-made conserves. All in all a wonderful stay. Hope to be back as soon as we can.
The welcome, friendliness and helpfulness of the host. Location excellent for both the Cite and main town, the airport bus drops off at the end of the street, and the station is only a 10 minute walk. Roof terrace great, and breakfast served in the garden, weather permitting. Comfortable room with aircon. A taxi ride to the airport is only about 12 euros.
We loved this place - a beautiful house with lots of character, in a perfect location, with a wonderful friendly host. More like staying with a good friend than in a hotel! Homemade preserves and homemade yoghurt in the cutest glass pots made the breakfast in Myriam's lovely airy kitchen extra memorable. Huge comfortable bed, too! The location is perfect, just a short walk from both the old and the new town. Totally recommended!
Only one tiny detail: the (very stylish) sliding glass door to the bathroom was a bit noisy at night - should be easy to fix!
High service level Very helpfull hostess Comfortable room Very nice bathroom Nice breakfast in the living room
Accommodation very comfortable and Myria full of useful information. Home made cake yoghurt and preserves for breakfast and lovely roof terrace. We were only a few minutes from the start of stage 16 of Tour de France and bagged a great spot to see the riders close up.
Weather was wet!
I cannot praise our stay here highly enough. The building is within easy walking distance of La Cite. It has been beautifully and tastefully restored with the outside space and roof terrace with views of La Cite being especially welcome. Miriam ( and little Esther! ) immediately made us feel at home. Breakfast was fabulous - we loved the homemade jam from 'le jardin pappi Jacques'. Merci beaucoup.
You are guaranteed a warm welcome by a wonderful host whose house is absolutely beautiful. The room we were in was lovely and the upstairs lounge has tea and coffee with access to a balcony overlooking the Old Walled City. Only a short walk to both the square and Old City area both with restaurants galore. I would have no hesitation in recommending the accommodation and Miriam was the perfect host despite us not speaking French. A most memorable stay.
Hostess was very gracious, warm, and welcoming; air conditioning was very good; rooms are charming, modern, and comfortable; bed was comfortable too; shower was great, best in our travels in Europe; breakfast was delicious, including homemade jams and yogurt; rooftop terrace affords great views of the castle; location is within walking distance to castle also.
Good choice at breakfast. Received a very warm reception which continued throughout our stay. Myriam is a wonderful hostess.
The shortness of our stay there, we wish we could have stayed longer
Our lovely room over looking the Cite and close proximity to everything
This was a lovely change to normal hotel rooms. The host was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was lovely as well. If was about a 10-15 min walk from the castle and close to new town; however not too much was happening there.
The rooms were lovely; however the beds and pillow were quiet uncomfortable and saggy.
Myriam was a first class host and made us feel at home. The bedroom was charming and comfortable and the view from the roof terrace is superb. The location is handy for both old and new towns but ensure you ask for the shortcut to the Cite! I'd strongly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Everything!!! Myriam is just a jewel-- wonderful English spoken, so helpful, great breakfast , darling baby Esther, beautiful and comfortable sanctuary.
The owner was friendly and helpful
Friendly hostess who was able to provide sight seeing tips and assisted with storing our excess luggage. A delicious breakfast including homemade yoghurt, cake and spreads was available each morning. We took some great photos of the castle from the roof top terrace. Would certainly stay there again, great location between old and new parts of the town.
The owner Miriam was extremely gracious and helpful. The room was very nice with a view of the castle. The location was easy walking distance to the castle and old town.
The owners were fab
