Nothing much WIFi and free parking

No bar, no lounge, no Air conditioning. Inadequate space to store clothes. No fridge and no safe, and no hair dryer Overpriced really poor breakfast

It was good, friendly and near to the centre of Angouleme. The car parking was very useful.

The hotel was slightly tired but well maintained.

The reception staff were excellent and spoke fluent English. A good breakfast was offered at an extra cost. Its a hotel on the road, but the sound proofing was so very good you could hardly hear anything. Hotel corridors give off a lot of noise, but there was an extra door that prevented a lot of the sounds which meant that we weren't woken by sounds of people talking or just walking in the hallways.

The bedroom was a bit small, but we only wanted it for one night so it didn't matter at all.

We booked this 3 star hotel as it was in the right location and offered free wifi in all the rooms - which was a priority for us.

We were not able to make use of their soirée etape, apparently because we booked through Bookings.com and so had to go out to find somewhere to eat. This meant driving for a fair distance to find anything open at 8pm. When we got back to the hotel we found the wifi did not work in our room & had to insist on beng moved to another room as we explained (in French) this was the main reason for choosing this hotel. Reluctantly the receptionist moved us - and the wifi did then work but reception then closed for the night. We needed to use the bathroom shortly after this and discovered there was no door separating any part of the bathroom from the bedroom. We were horrified but could do nothing as reception was now closed. Having the shower and basin with no door might have been just acceptable- but not the lavatory! How is this a 3 star hotel as having no lavatory door is surely a basic necessity! They were advertising as having recently refurbished the entire hotel - perhaps this does not mean what we thought it meant!

Spotless room and helpful staff.

Very small room considering it was a premium room. We thought it poor value. Including breakfast in the room price would be a big improvement.

We stayed for the Circuit de Remparts Weekend and the hotel gave us a personal space in the car park for our classic car. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was large and bed very comfortable. Plenty of variety for breakfast.

Could have done with darker curtains and as we were at the front, there was a lot of road noise even though it was double glazed. It was a bit hot in the room, although a fan was provided for our use.

Clean and nice room, friendly staff, good location. Would stay again if in Angouleme.

Our main problem was with the parking but the hotel staff solved this by moving one of their cars onto the road so that we could park in private at the back of the hotel. The breakfast was more than satisfactory for this type of hotel.

The parking situation can be difficult if you don't arrive early enough to get one of the 9 places. There is on street parking at the front of the hotel but not always available close to hand.

The lack of air conditioning. The room was far too hot. There were no shutters.

The location was a 15 minute walk to the centre. The room and bathroom were clean and modern.The breakfast was good .The staff were helpful and parking was right behind the hotel.

We stayed one night which was a Saturday.There was no air conditioning so left the windows open because of the heat.Big mistake. Cars roaring down the road outside in a constant stream all night.Shouting youths, loud music at 5am. Angouleme was deserted all day compared to home but like a episode of booze britain at night. Presume this is only weekend problem and wouldn't have noticed if I had kept the windows shut. Should't reflect on hotel I suppose but didn't sleep a wink.

WiFi not so good in room but fine in bar area

First impressions were poor.hotel room was outdated and the top covers of the bedding looked dirty .the cushion on the bed were filthy and should be thrown out. Compared to other hotels in france we have stayed in this was the poorest.

The staff - happy, helpful, enabling. Undercover parking. Not 'luxury' but a good place to stay.

To say 'city centre' is straining the facts a little. It is a short (15 minutes) walk to the beginning of the historic area.

Not the easiest Hotel to find when approacing from the North, even with a SatNav, due to Roads recently being made as Cul de Sacs. Suggest the "road be programmed" rather than mapping co-ordinates.

Very clean room. The room is very well insulated with double windows. No noise from the street at all.

Issue with ventilation. Double windows prevent air circulation and the atmosphere in the room was not great. The street is too noisy to leave the windows open.

Good location for city centre with convenient free parking. Friendly and helpful staff

Open plan bathroom takes some getting used to.
