Cute little apartment in convenient location, Only 10 Walking minutes to the Centre of Tours All you need is there
It really is on the small side and there is no view (back of other houses)
The gite was in a very quiet area and had a nice little courtyard. It was about 15 minutes walk from restaurants and bars etc and about 20 minutes to the town centre. There was a corner shop, boulanger and boucher/charcuterie within 5 minutes walk, and we bought fresh croissants every morning. The owners were charming and arranged to pick us up from the airport and drop us back there. We were also invited to their house nearby one evening for aperitifs and they provided wine and nibbles and were very sociable. The owners and their son spoke excellent English so we didn't have to worry about language barriers.
It was one living room with a sofa bed, which wasn't really made clear in advance. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable once made up, but it was a bit of a nuisance to have to put it out and put it away each day. If you didn't put it away during the day, you didn't really have room to move around. The courtyard was peaceful but it was full of weeds, there was a lovely well in the corner which could be made a really nice feature with a little time and effort, but it was just left overgrown. There were dear little cats in the courtyard that lived in one of the flats and I was very concerned that they didn't have access to fresh water. I left some out but one of the neighbors emptied it out. Most of the neighbors were friendly but one grumpy old man deliberately ignored us which wasn't pleasant.
best 70 euro ever spent. everything is perfect. i expected a room but it turned out a house. very cozy house and a super kind host. love it very much, and if i come back to tours in the future, here would be my only choice!!
