room and toilet was just recently renovated and refurbished. comfortable beds, clean toilet and shower, spacious room. with the 3 beds room, we were on the 7th floor and got an excellent view of the Paris skyline. price was also fair value for our room as we were walking distance to Gare du Nord and Gare de L'est. hotel was also close to bunch of restaurants and grocery stores. overall, we enjoyed our stay here.
if i had to comment, maybe the shower head could be placed at a more convenient location in the tub. also, possibly allowing visitors to bring outside food to their rooms.
We had a renovated room - super clean and modern. Bathroom was small but we aren't large people so this didn't bother us too much. Perfect location for us - located near lots of Metro stations. Staff were helpful and friendly.
The walls are paper thin - could hear EVERYTHING our neighbors were doing. Having to pay for internet usage wasn't the greatest. Didn't pay for it but 8.50 for breakfast is quite expensive.
A really friendly greeting when we arrived. The room was pretty basic but it was fine for the one night. Clean and comfortable. Was 5 minute walk from the metro and really close to both gare d'est and gare de nord.
A secure room for our luggage rather than in a communal area.
Close to metro, About 10mins walked.
The internet connection was very poor It was in the middle of renovation.
They are under renovations, however we got lucky and received a room that has been refurbished which is good. The location is right next to a bad neighbourhood, however, (try to avoid barbes as much as you can) but if you stick to the main street leading to republique you'll be okay. In other words though, it was nice staying close to the stations, so i guess that's a positive way to look at it.
Proximity to train station. We didn't have to take public transportation, just walked for a few blocks. The hotel was being renovated as it really needed a good face lift. I'm sure it will look better when they're done.
Very noisy from the street traffic till late at night and very early in the morning. Was hot and couldn't keep the windows open because of the noise. The neighborhood was a bit dubious but we didn't venture too much in the area. Just there for the night to catch a train the next day.
Great location friendly staff
Basement room on a alley with metal bars on window
The internet is charged
Closeness to two stations
The only hotel in one month of travel that I had to pay for wifi connection (4 euros for 2 hours)
nearby train and subway station, renovated rooms, good & friendly staff, various restaurants nearby,
Free Wifi was not provided
Rooms were comfortable but noisy, both from noisy guests at 1.00am and from traffic (The Metro can be felt each time it passes).
Breakfast was overpriced for the meagre offerings. We were told breakfast was from 7.00am. This turned out to mean that the staff would start putting out the croissants, coffee etc. at 7.00am. We were in a rush and could only eat/drink what had been put out first.
Night reception male We had to stay in a room where bathroom was leaking from the roof. Water was dropping on the light and was very hazardous to stay there. We reported this in the evening and asked the receptionist to either change the room or arrange to fix the leaking. He did'nt do either. When we wanted to esclate the matter, he did'nt give his manager's or owner's number. He was very rude and arrogant. I was about to call police but left it later. Moreover the hotel was dirty, uncleaned and required renovation. It was a pain to stay there. Would not recommend to any one.
The internet is for extra charge. One of the stuff tried to sell expensive shuttle bus ticket to airport, whereas there is cheap train going directly
Price and value are reasonable. Walkable distance to train station. Nearby has a mini market. Day clerk is knowledgeable and friendly.
Night clerk could not speak English and too old to read letters. Wifi signal is not strong in the room.
good location for station, room looked like just been renovated and was spotless.
Great location Clean, simple room Helpful staff
No air conditioning - not good for a hot weekend Next to a very noisy main road
The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was gorgeous. The bed was comfortable. The location is great on the main road and within five minutes walking distance of two main train stations, within a minute walking distance to a metro station for lazy people like me haha. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
The only bone I would have to pick is at the time the hotel was having renovation work done. Fair play to the builders they didn't walk all hours and started relatively late in the morning, late enough for me anyway, and because of that the corridor walking to my room from the lift was a bit messy at times and you could hear the neighbours. Other than that top budget hotel.
Friendliness of staff Clean rooms & bedding
Some noise from street
Clean Bathroom Facilities. Comfortable. If you require a place to lay your head for great value this is a good place. 2 blocks from the Gare de Est Metro Station and Hop on Hop Off Bus.
WIFI Service - Charge for WIFI service. Poor value for cost. - Speed of the WIFI service was poor. Unable to traverse web pages in timely manner, ended in abandoning usage. - Reception to our room was non-existent which required us to go to the lobby. - Only 1 connection allowed per subscription. The quality of WIFI Service offered for Free at many restaurants was superior. Negotiating the stairs and floor from the basement could be an issue for those with mobility issues.
Very clean, close to metro station
Poor sound isolation Rooms a bit tiny
Est hotel was very conveniently located within walking distance of train station, even with two trundle bags. Handy to hop on, hop off bus. Undergoing renovations but bathroom very new and clean. Staff were friendly and available 24 hours. Good for the price
Room was a bit small and dark and overlooked a back alley
The location was good with easy access to metro stations and is walking distance to a few shops. The female day receptionist was very helpful.
The toilet seat in my room was broken. I had to leave the keys with reception every time I left the hotel. The male night receptionist was patronising and arrogant - I tried to explain that I needed help with booking a taxi and he refused to listen to what I was saying
The room and toilet are fairly clean. Good location as it is near gare de lest train station for you to get around Paris.
You have to pay for wifi. And the toilet is a little small to move about. Considering I am a petite, it certainly can do for me. But for someone who is little bigger in size probably would have difficulty to use the bathroom.
