In Paris 14th arrondissement (district) near the lovely, verdant Parc Montsouris is the Villa Royale Montsouris, which offers stylish and comfortable accommodations.
Score from 325 reviews Good
Recently refurbished room was clean and bright. Staff helpful and polite.
Single elevator can require long waits
Friendly and helpful staff Located close to major train station Clean and quiet despite undergoing renovations
Near some metro stations and the room rates are ok for what it's said the hotel could deliver. Recepcionists during daytime were lovely and helpful.
Good location Staff competent and helpful.
Access is difficult from gage Nord as the distance is a good walk but not a viable taxi ride. Refused.
Location is great and the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful
Room is claustrophobic. No free WiFi.
tres proche de station, walk distance to see many monuments, quiet rooms, clean rooms, nice view from the window for Basilique Sacre Coeur
le prix de petit dejeuner trop cher pour les anfants, les enfants should be charge half price of adult price pour petit dejeuner
Location is nice, not far from the train stations, not far from underground station, walkable distance to central Paris. All the facilities in the room were in working order. Good value for money.
Wifi is not free. Both interior and exterior of the building are very "dated". A bit of mould in the room. The area seems to be quite "rough".
We like were was the hotel situated
we dislike that the hotel doesn't have free wi-fi and that the hotel was in progress of renovation and in the morning we meet with the workers in the hotel
price, proximity to gare du nord and gare du l'est
the hotel is just not presentable. It could do with a make-over in the corridors.
room and toilet was just recently renovated and refurbished. comfortable beds, clean toilet and shower, spacious room. with the 3 beds room, we were on the 7th floor and got an excellent view of the Paris skyline. price was also fair value for our room as we were walking distance to Gare du Nord and Gare de L'est. hotel was also close to bunch of restaurants and grocery stores. overall, we enjoyed our stay here.
if i had to comment, maybe the shower head could be placed at a more convenient location in the tub. also, possibly allowing visitors to bring outside food to their rooms.
We had a renovated room - super clean and modern. Bathroom was small but we aren't large people so this didn't bother us too much. Perfect location for us - located near lots of Metro stations. Staff were helpful and friendly.
The walls are paper thin - could hear EVERYTHING our neighbors were doing. Having to pay for internet usage wasn't the greatest. Didn't pay for it but 8.50 for breakfast is quite expensive.
A really friendly greeting when we arrived. The room was pretty basic but it was fine for the one night. Clean and comfortable. Was 5 minute walk from the metro and really close to both gare d'est and gare de nord.
A secure room for our luggage rather than in a communal area.
Close to metro, About 10mins walked.
The internet connection was very poor It was in the middle of renovation.
Rooms are really old, no internet (you need to pay 10 euros for 24 hours), to little beds together instead of one Big.
They are under renovations, however we got lucky and received a room that has been refurbished which is good. The location is right next to a bad neighbourhood, however, (try to avoid barbes as much as you can) but if you stick to the main street leading to republique you'll be okay. In other words though, it was nice staying close to the stations, so i guess that's a positive way to look at it.
Est Hotel, while not near the center of the city, in conveniently located close to a metro stop. I stayed for three nights with my husband and a friend and we had no major complaints. Our room was clean, tidy and comfortable.
The major downside of Est Hotel is that there is a charge for the wifi.
Close location to stations. Basic but clean.
On a very busy road so you get road noise. Undergoing renovations - eg no carpet in outside corridor, no room number on our room door. It's nothing fancy!
Great location and value for money, if you don't want to spend all your money for accomodation in Paris. Nice small room with a new bathroom. We used Velibs for transport in Paris and this hotel was good starting point with minimum of two bike stands nearby.
The hotel is probably going through some renovation, so the hallways are little bit dirty, but not the rooms.
Proximity to train station. We didn't have to take public transportation, just walked for a few blocks. The hotel was being renovated as it really needed a good face lift. I'm sure it will look better when they're done.
Very noisy from the street traffic till late at night and very early in the morning. Was hot and couldn't keep the windows open because of the noise. The neighborhood was a bit dubious but we didn't venture too much in the area. Just there for the night to catch a train the next day.
Great location friendly staff
Basement room on a alley with metal bars on window
The internet is charged
Wifi- 10 euros for 24 hours
Closeness to two stations
The only hotel in one month of travel that I had to pay for wifi connection (4 euros for 2 hours)
