wifi, staff, bed, cleaniness
location, a bit far out of town
We liked its proximity to the center of Bordeaux and how easy it was to find
the bathroom floor had not been cleaned properly
The place was very clean, efficient and functioning. The wifi worked well in the rooms. The location is ok a short walk over the river to the centre of town.
It would have been great if breakfast were included. Location was a little tricky to find from google maps...
The toilet was claustrophobic small!
Cute rooms with enough space intelligently designed. Furniture looked like new Free internet
The room smelled like sweat. They made a mistake with our reservation and wanted to charge for a second night more money than what we reserved. It was resolved quickly though.
the hotel located not far away from st. jean gare. also the price was reasonable.
Carrefour market right next door! Not too far away from the center and lovely staff!
There are pubs nearby, so the both nights that we stayed, we could hear people talking outside quite loudly! But wasn't too bothered about it, acceptable I guess
clean and great value for money
bit too far out of town
Handy for town
Small room, poor facilities, very basic room, but you get what you pay for
The hotel is central and easy to find. This was the first time we had stayed overnight in a hotel with our dog and the experience was fine. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
The air conditioning did not work and we were unable to connect to the wifi
Staff friendly, good location not too far from the historic centre and a really nice walk to the right bank of the river. Will return.
We liked staff members, they were nice and friendly, willing to help. Bus and tram stops are very close which is convenient, there is also a supermarket just downstairs.
Quality of wifi connection was quite bad, I couldn't even check-in for my flight, it took me numerous attempts.
The hotel was clean light and airy. Receptionists spoke perfect English and were very helpful
The loo, and shower were in 2 separate cubicles, the wash basin was in the bedroom.
Breakfast was good
Not far from central Bordeaux across the river, clean modern-type city hotel, with minimum facilities but so convenient, & excellent value
A typical small room for this type of hotel, with tiny toilet, plastic shower cabinet & tiniest sink I've ever seen
I appreciated the staff, there were nice. Towels were changed every day and bedroom cleaned. Rooms were comfortable. Location was good, close to a tramway station or 15 min walking from the center.
There were no towels for the face and for the floor. Wi-fi did not work in our room. Breakfast too basic.
Price Location Parking - free at the shopping center. WiFi. Clean
Hard matresses. Small rooms. Small W.C and tiny shower. Not enough electrical power outlets for our many chargers (smartphone, tables, etc.) Breakfast - cheap but not rich. OK.
Patchy wi-fi coverage
Extremely kind employees
Next to perfect
Great cost-benefit relationship. The hotel is very close to the city centre. Rooms are very clean, staff is OK. Good breakfast (not included). Small but comfy room. Worth the value.
Weak wi-fi signal inside the bedroom. Water temperature (shower) varies each 20 seconds. The latter was a minor problem because it was summertime, but during winter I guess it's not nice to have warm water then in some seconds a radical change to cold water. TV inside the bedroom could include non-French spoken channels.
Location and service, the staff was excellent and helpful.
The room was not comfortable especially the bed for older children.
location, cleanness, hotel design, WiFi
they charged the tax for two person however I am a solo traveler, which I think should be a mistake. The rooms facing the high street would be quite noisy.
The hotel staff were very helpful and tried best to accommodate the miss booking. Because they were booked out they found us alternative accommodation in IBIS budget at the Gare where we stayed for the period and extended period.
When booking the hotel through Booking.com the website pushed the entered dates one month forward rather than showing the requested month June so I ended up booking the 18th of July. I arrived on the 18th June and discovered the error at the hotel reception. So I had to pay for the rooms again. On contacting Bookings.com said there was no refund on the miss booking. Added to this was the fact that the French Air traffic controllers went on strike on out departure date Wednesday 25th and the only available flight was the following Sunday so an additional 4 nights were spent in IBIS yet they still refused to refund us for the miss booking on 18 July. Very disappointed in both Booking.com and IBIS considering the amount of money paid. The holiday was to celebrate my 60th birthday, perhaps my eyesight is going.
Just what we needed. 10-15 min (nice) walk over a beautiful bridge to the centre of bordeaux; the hotel have us a map of the place so it's really easy to navigate. Just head for Pont Pierre from la Gare and when you're over turn left and its on the same road as the cinema (MEGARAMA). Right next to a carrefour and a subway, should you feel the need for a cheap late night snack, but there are so many restaurants in bordeaux centre any way! Great price - if all you want is a bed then £30 for a night is pretty darn good if you compare it to other places only 5 mins walk away. Nice area - not rough or anything. We were there during the 14 Juillet celebrations and we were so knackered we didn't want to watch the fireworks from the bridge - instead we had a perfect view from the hotel room! C'etait parfait! I'd recommend to all!
Location excellent for walking to the city centre, so if you are on a tight budget it's a good option. For us it was also an excellent overnight stay prior to a flight from Bordeaux. Tram stop is near and this is the cheapest option for getting to the airport.
I would not advise the tram and bus to the airport if you need to go at rush hour, especially if you have luggage. The bus is extremely crowded and uncomfortable.
