Just 100 ft from Saint Jean Train Station, Hôtel du Faisan is in a pedestrian square. Bordeaux city center is a 20-minute walk away or 5 minutes away by direct tram.

Convenient position ease of booking. Reduced weekend rate
Room 704: toilet seat loose Both Lifts were not working on departure at 0730: we two octogenarians had a hard time dragging heavy bags down 7 floors. Wevreported the lift problem at reception, but the girl on duty was a little unbelieving, even though other clients were also arriving at ground level via the stairwell. My wife also banged her head on the sharp metal angle of the upper bunk bed several times. The sharp angles were unprotected and space was tight at that side of the bed, (in room 704) so avoiding the danger was not easy.
Location for train travellers, early breakfast.
Shabby. There were no towels in the room - I had to ask at the reception. No shampoo in the room. Hair dryer - only from the reception for 10 eur deposit.
Location good for me as just across the road from St Jean station and I had an early start for the tgv to Paris. Clean, comfortable basic rooms, excellent wifi reception.
ibis budget is really near the station(la gare). So it takes just 3minutes to get there. It was very confortable. also cleaned very well. It was cheap. I loved it.
pour moi, rien.
My bed was comfortable and the room was super clean. I expected some noise from the station and the road, but it was quite quiet (I did not need to open the window much since it was not hot inside). There is a good tram and bus connection. I stayed alone, so the size of the room was fine. Staff was friendly and understanding.
I had some problems with a hotel bill and I needed some changes to be made. I am still trying to solve this and it is not closed. The staff tried to help, but there is just one person who can do it and hence I have to go there again. Luckily I am still in Bordeaux, so it is possible. Just as an information for people who want to stay there: internet connection was fair, but not excellent. The room is too small for a comfortable stay of 3 people even though there are 3 beds (but one night should be ok). Overall: I will happily stay there again if I travel alone.
Very close to the train station and tram and bus stations Basic but very clean rooms Good breakfast
Location. If you are travelling by train, it doesn't get better. I felt safe and my room was small but squeaky clean.
After 9 pm I didn't feel safe wandering the streets. However I felt perfectly safe in the hotel.
Good Location Value for money
the room is very small and old. Everything inside the sink, the table is just enough space for a small backpack. Bath towel is so tin feels like I using paper towel.
The room was spotless, the breakfast was great and the location was ideal as trams and buses were 2 minutes away. I also felt very safe staying there
I should have booked all 3 nights through Booking.com as when I extended my stay from 1 night to 3, I had to pay the full rate Ah well - I'll know for next time..........
Clean and simple. You can park close to the hotel on the road.
A bit far from the centre.
Close to Bordeaux train station.
Noise from the street.
Good location if needing to catch a train at Gare St Jean and only a few tram stops to the town centre. Surprisingly quiet for location. A few fairly decent restaurants in the proximity
I could quibble about the fairly spartan room, the lack of shampoo in the shower area and the fairly basic buffet breakfast but it is a budget hotel - it says so in the title
Staff were very helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Excellent safe left luggage lockers. Value for money. Couldn't be more convenient to Gare de Lyon - right on the doorstep! Excellent stopover if you are travelling by train. Lots of good bars and restaurants closeby.
Nothing to report
Good location Clean
Poor and expensive breakfast. I had to pay when I left my luggage for a couple of hours after checking out.
Close to the train station.
Across the street from train station. Good air conditioning. Really nice staff.
Kind of far from city center, about a 10 to 15 minute ride on a busy and slow tram.
Staff Nearness to gare
A bit spartan
u get what u need, simple
i liked the receptionist girl )) just kidding. nice hotel if you care your budget
I booked this hotel for one night as I was passing through Bordeaux on to Paris. It's a short walk from the station and very easy to find (literally across the road). Staff were friendly and spoke English, I felt the hotel was secure with 24hr reception. The room was basic but clean, you get what you pay for. I slept comfortably and there was a Spar and Lidl supermarket not far away. The tramline was very close by to head into the town centre, otherwise it's a good 20-minute walk.
Wi-fi was free but if let inactive, even if for just a few minutes, I logged out and had to re-log in again. Otherwise the connection strength and speed were sufficient for my needs.
It was across the street from the railway station. A walk to the central area but excellent if you wish to catch the train.
The budget was in evidence when no plates for breakfast, paper towels for napkin. No coffee machine one morning as they had run out of coffee. The rooms seemed much smaller than the other budget hotel we had been in.
Right beside the station which was handy for getting the shuttle bus to the airport. It met basic requirements.
The room felt like a prison cell or cheap bunkhouse but then it is a budget hotel. The air-conditioning was so noisy that I couldn't sleep yet still the room was too hot.
Very clean, very good food. The service was friendly and professional.
quirky bed layout- 3 of us sharing a room. single bunk bed over head of double bed. worked out about £10 a night each- can't complain! Had heating control, very clean (unusual to have show IN the room!) staff spoke good english which helped us out :)
