I left my laptop in the hotel when we left.I Called Alan at Booking.com.He was helpful and called Celine at the hotel.Unfortunately she was no help and refused to return the laptop to me.I Did offer to pay postage by credit card or here on delivery.Luckily I called again.The reception was closed and the call was diverted to the adjoining Mercure Hotel.The receptionist Miriam was most polite and helpful and offered to get the laptop from Etap and send it to me.We are waiting for it to arrive and are very grateful for her help.

Good central location, parking place available. I saved 20 Euros by making the reservation through booking.com right in front of the reception desk, as the receptionist wanted 20 Euros more for direct on-spot booking.

Very small rooms, with the sink in the room, but for that price it was OK. Very limited choices for breakfast and I had to inform the staff that some of the butter and cheese from the breakfast buffet was expired.

The location in Le Mans centre,close to the nearest restaurants and the main square. Secure off street parking

our room was near to the lifts and you could hear the sound of the machinery all night. The electronic gate opening and closing could also be heard,which can not be helped. The air conditioning in the room 304 was blowing hot air and was not controlable. The shower door did not close completely therefore wetting the floor outside the door in the main room sodden

Lots of choices of places to eat. Good shopping. Was able to walk from hotel. Lots going on. There was a farmers market the day we stayed on way back home from 2 weeks in the Vendee, it all added to the holiday

It was to much like a hostel and grubby needs some t l c which it doesn,t seem to be getting great shame

The location of the hotel was excellent. Only 5 minute walk away from restuarants, bars, shops and sights. It was actually part of the same building as the Mercure for half the price!

We did find the last guest's flannel and shower gel in the shower and the hotel is very much no nonsense, however for the price, and the location, I would definitely come back again.

Needed a complete refurbishment. The back entrance smelt of cats' urine. The smell permeated the lift.

The hotel is located on the edge of the old town and an easy walk into town. The price is excellent for a hotel in this location with a carpark.

The check in times published by Booking.com are incorrect and as a result we arrived around midday to find the hotel reception closed and shuttered.

Very good value and a close location to city amenities.

No off road parking at this location but ample in the local streets.

The location is closed to Le Mans main attraction such as the Cathedral and the old city. The price is affordable.

It was summer in France and the weather was very hot. The air condition broke down during our stay. There was an announcement in the elevator saying that it'll be like that for a couple of days but somehow we felt that it 'has' been broken for several days before we even arrive and there's been no effort from the staff to fix the problem. By the way, the staff speak very little English. Also, you need to enter the hotel via another hotel's entrance if you come back late at night.

The price is very competitive.

The Hotel has no facilities. Reception is closed at night and there are no staff in the building. You must pay when you check-in (this should have raised alarm bells). Spent a sleepless night in hotel worried for my wife and childrens safety as doors where hammered on by a local scumbag who got into building. Staff didn't eject him until following morning when they returned to open reception. Party in apartment across the road went on till after 2am with people shouting on the balcony. Maybe I was just unlucky but I will never take the chance and stay again. The hotel management never bothered to contact us after we (and many others) complained the next morning. We had already paid so there was no comeback.

Convenient, good value for money, comfortable, quiet.

The shower door didn't close properly, water can go into the room.

Value for money, cleanliness, location

We used the hotel for a night's break during the long treck home. It was ideal for this but you wouldn't want to spend much time in the room. Clean and effective it was, but relaxing and comfortable/cosy it was not - pokey windows that opened up onto a tall apartment block over the road and therefore dark.

The situation is very good. The parking. Breakfast. The cleaners wery very helpful as nobody was at the reception desk.

The hotel was clossed when we arrived. You had to go to the hotel in the corner to register and get the key.

The hotel is basic but clean and very central. I used it as a stopover for my journey south and as two women travelling with younger children we felt very safe here. I would recommend it for a budget hotel. Clean rooms and walking distance to the centre of Le Mans.

very cheap and bad-looking strange yellow doors of the rooms inside really strange very big room, but entrance to the shower capin is just from the room. there is no place to store your clothes before you go into the shower. the wash-bowl is just in the room coloured in dark-blue. really strange. separated toilet. well, they could use this space of the room to make a big bathroom and toilet instead of that stuff... just a lot of space of the room is just empty, without anything... strange lamp making noise. bad English of the personal. if you check-in in mercure, they make pre-autorisation of your card firstly

Gerald at Reception when we arrived to check in was helpful and pleasant. I had booked a twin room and initially we were given a double. Gerald then changed the room for us with no problem. He spoke good English and gave us directions to find a variety of restaurants for dinner in the City Square. Budget hotel which suited out purpose for one night. Good location for the cathedral and old city sights.

The next morning we went for buffet breakfast in the restaurant. The facilities were poor. Small stools to sit on, much like a nursery school scenario. The staff member was standing behind the buffet selection facing the guests, as we walked in he coughed, covered his mouth, but he should have turned around, away from the food. He then stood as though he was "on guard" watching everyone and what they were taking to eat. I found this very off putting and unnecessary. It did not give a relaxed feeling to taking breakfast in the hotel. The staff member was also covering Reception and he was rather curt and unfriendly as we checked- out. I would not use this hotel again.

It is the good hotel for the good price
