In a 17th century private mansion, Hotel du Lys enjoys a central location in Paris 2 minutes walking from the Latin Quarter and less than half a mile from the Luxembourg Gardens.

The place where the hotel is was perfect-quiet,but near tourist places to visit.
Central to great eateries, Metro and many significant sites. Most staff helpful and friendly. Best internet we've encountered
Some staff of little help.
Large room and bathroom. Awesome shower head, lots of pressure. Clean. Very quiet if you are on the inside of the building. Ask for courtside room. Staff was very helpful especially Joanna. Excellent location. In the heart of the Latin quarter. Close to several Metro stations and 2 blocks away from Notre Dame Cathedral. Would highly recommend.
The hotel was in a great location for eating & drinking, the metro station was 100m away allowing access to all the main attraction. Even though it was a busy area the sound-proof worked well and it was quiet at night. The hotel is a basic, reasonably priced base for visiting Paris. I would recommend it.
Very good location Big room and clean Little bit old decoration but it's ok Have save box
Small lobby. No boil water machine
Right in the heart of things. Pretty much the closest reasonably priced hotel in the 6th that is closest to the St. Michel Metro and RER stop.
Rooms were a little small. Area can be noisy.
This hotel was on a beautiful street in an area that you could conveniently walk to just about anywhere if you are not pressed for time.
Only complaint was returning to a hot room every day. The A/C was constantly turned off so we had to call the front desk each time to turn it back on.
Room is really small, price is high
The location was ideal for travellers keen to enjoy a central location, close to Metro and rer stations allowing us cheap access to the airport, though I won't say easy as the steps in the station made it difficult with large suitcases. Easy to walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre, Luxembourg Gardens etc. There was a large selection of good restaurants and bars within walking distance. We chose to eat breakfast away from the hotel though a simple French breakfast is available if required. The bathroom was small but adequate and recently renovated.
The room was very small, but to be expected in this location and price range. Very minimal storage was provided and we had difficulty finding room for the suitcases. There was a lift but it didn't go all the way up to our floor so we had to deal with a half flight of stairs with heavy bags.
I loved how helpful the staff were. Very friendly and helpful with directions, advice, and needs during my stay. I hope to come back soon!
The bathroom was a bit small due to the shape of the building, and my shower was so small that I had to be very cautious. Otherwise I would bump the handle and change the water temp drastically.
Location Front desk staff
Bathroom clean less The light next to the bed didn't work
Staff are friendly and location is good
I had a top floor room and because of the sloping roof one could not look out of the window or walk in the bathroom without having to bend down. I am 1.8m tall. The shower area is way to small.
The location is in the heart of the Latin Quarter making it close to a lot of activity.
Small rooms and walls are paper thin.I could hear the people in the room talking and showering.
Location is perfect
Beds were not very comfortable and certainly wouldn't be for two people in the bed.
Very close to those cathedrals of Saint German Des Pres,St.Shulpice, Notre Dame, Cluny and the Seine, Odeon, lots of Cafes and restaurants.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable clean rooms and a great location.
Cafes, river, Notre Dame and all of the Latin Quarter at your doorstep. Updated bathroom.
Abrupt reception staff, no attempt to be friendly or welcoming.
Location. Travelling with kids the location was very convenient being so close to the RER especially at the end of the day when we are all exhausted. We didn't order the breakfast buffet, There is yummy crepes a few shops away, order at the window very cheap. There are a lot of restaurants close by & a supermarket about 5 minutes walk in the same street.
The shower is in the bath this was not a problem for us although the step was very steep so I had to be extra careful & assist the kids. The lady on the desk with dark hair I felt wasn't very approachable, I saved my queries for the other lady with blonde hair who was very friendly & happy to assist me.
Great location in a side street close to Boulevard St Michel. We had one night only while trapped in Paris by a train strike.
The location was fantastic. So close to sites and restaurants. The staff very helpful. Will definitely stay there again.
We like its location in the heart of the Latin Quarter near the Place of St Michel. It has a refrigerator and a room-safe. We encountered 3 staffs. While two are excellent, helpful and friendly, while one woman was just okay, not rude but wasn't too helpful.
The hotel overall looks and feels a little "tired" that the carpets are worn out, the stair is uneven, and the decor is dark and uninviting. The shower is tiny! The lift broke one day that it made us wondered if we could get stuck in there using it (unfortunately we were on the 4th floor that we had to use it).
Location of hotel is in the heart of 6th Arrondissement close to restaurants, bars, shops where the crowd is a good mix of locals and tourists. It is easy to eat cheap in this area and also to find fine restaurants. Bathroom was spotless and that was important to us. Mini bar/cooler ref in the room
Less than hotel standard furniture (wall tables and bedside tables) and some parts of the wall need repair - these made the room look shabby.
