It was just for a stop over on our way to the south of France. It was very central and if there is no space in their carpark ( book this prior to your stay.. We forgot to...) then there is a good public carpark opposite. All in all was good value for money.
We chose this hotel because of price for a one night stay on our road trip receptionist was very helpful the hotel is in the centre of town right by lots of bars & restaurants. plus secure gated parking the park is very small so make sure you book a space , I would stay here again.
Location and the view from our room.
A bit rundown....one of the side bedlamp is broken, aircond is dripping.
Great location. Good value for money , standard room but it was enough for us
Excellent location in centre. Secure parking.
Air-con did not work in our room. Breakfast was not that good
I liked the location, so close to everything, it was perfect.
It was very hot in the room.
The central location.
The noise when windows open at night a little bit busy.
In the centre of reims close to the cathedral and restaurants
Parking @ 12 €
Close to the city
Toilet wouldn't flush
historically I like Reims & environs & have been coming every year since 2007
I do not very much like the new l'Apostrophe restaurant. I preferred the menu of the old one. Also Reims is becoming very commercial (in taste; americanised)
short walking distance from major Reims historical attractions; room clean and quiet; we advice to spend a few more Euro, to get a not so cramped room
personnel slow and disinterested; we were travelling by car, we discovered ourselves that hotel has a parking lot, but we were not told by the personnel. (we asked where we could park, but we had no answer, in any case we adivse to park in a near by 24h parking lot, on the other side or fhe road, which offer a safe parking for the same rate; low quality breakfast, not worth the money
Location superb Secure parking Size of rooms OK Breakfast no bad although layout of the food was confusing
No bar or option to purchase drinks to take to room Not even an offer as to where nearby you might get some No glasses when you do manage to get some Monoprix supermarket 5 blocks away
Location and parking
Room was not ready. Very noisy from pigeons in the eves.
Excellent location and friendly staff
They allow pets and that's great, but obviously carpet floor and pets are not compatible for the hotel.
Easy to find and good parking at an extra charge. Basic room was small but with slight view of cathedral. Priced for an overnight stop. Bath with shower.
Hotel seems to have changed hands quite a lot judging by the various names in evidence. Staff generally uninterested in guests but do their job. Breakfast average at €13 with no service at all relying on machines. Room stuffy and ac not easy to operate. But it is there at least.
Rooms are a bit dated, and could use more plug sockets, but a bit quirky in a comfortable kind of way. Very convenient for most of Reims.
Parking was full despite that we had prebooked, we were then expected to somehow manoeuvre a very long car into a very inconvenient space blocking in the caretaker. Managed it somehow, wouldn't want to do it again though...
Decent size room, large bed, helpful staff. A minutes walk from all the main restaurants.
Parking was a problem. Hotel decor in need of a bit of TLC.
The hotel is well positioned a short walk from centre of Rheims. The bed was comfortable, although the room small, it was at the back on the 3rd floor so although no air conditioning it was fine to leave window open, quiet for a location so near city centre.
The hotel is shabby and needs a refurb. The corridor smelt of smoke although the room was ok in this respect. We were unsure about the general cleanliness when we found a large black slug on the bathroom ceiling. The hotel said we were looking at a hole in the ceiling, either way it wasn't good.
Car parking was very cramped and expensive. No tea & coffee facility in room.
Hotel is in the centre of Reims, walking distance to many places of interest
Lifts and stairwells need to be replaced / cleaned
Non helpful staff. Dirty. Almost all of the furniture was broken in one way or another.
Very friendly staff Conveniently located
The room was not well maintained, the window frame in our bathroom was rotting I have an appreciation for older hotels, but this hotel seemed musty Our room was not as clean as I would've liked
Location Private car park Staff were all ok Good size bed and clean. Breakfast generally ok
Aircon faulty first stay Shower broke 2nd stay Fridge not working 2nd stay Bathroom tiles needed re-grouting Outside window view really run down Corridors dark and narrow
We liked the location and the fact that it had a locked carpark (at a price). We liked the possibility of having a spa in case of disappointing weather. We had great weather so we spent a lot of time outside. We were just 50m from the busy centre. Great. My little dog however was the only creature liking the well air conditioned room 106 in the hot weather.
All the rest. We were put in a room (106) with "views" on cracked walls around us. On the roof was some sort of ventilation exit, probably from a kitchen. It made an awfull noise day and night. When you put your head on the pillow it vibrated your brain away. Because we had driven 900km to get there we were so tired we slept more or less anyway. The next night however we were awake most of the nicht. Ear plugs helped a bit, but the resonance of the machine throughout the room and into our heads made us very tired. The room itself was very tired too. The curtains came of the rail at several points. Some of the sockets did not work. The bed was the only thing remotely comfortable. At check out, the girl just said nothing was her fault. The staff in general did not seem to care much. The breakfast room was tired too. Cleaning staff have no room to manouver around the very narrow corridors, so they leave everything - sheets, towls, etc - on the floor of the corridors, so if you are not stable on your legs, you might fall and injure yourself. If you decide to visit this hotel, I jave no judgment on other rooms, but at least do AVOID ROOM 106 and (if any) above it at all cost!
