Near the metro, bus stop and a 20 min walk from Gare du Noir. The room and bathroom was clean and we had fresh towels every day. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly.
the bathroom was tiny and the showers doors were difficult to get in and out of
Excellent location. Very close to republique and temple tube stations. Room was spotless and hotel is located on a very quiet street.
very close to Republique Metro station
We booked a superior double room and we got a classic one The wifi signal was not good Breakfast was only 2 croissants Hasnt got a bar or cafe for a glass of water
Got to sleep.
everything was very small
The honesty of the owner and staff very appreciated, the last day with stay , since we're in hurry forgot the neckwallet that put in the bed closed by blanket, which money, passport all in the wallet, we went back to the hotel in rush, the owner calm us down , say that don't worry all the document, money, still remain completely, oh my god ,,,,
The room size and the elevator so small
the metro station was very close and the recepcionist was REALL friendly, i recommend this hotel to everyone.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Super disappointed. Great location in a cute area with great access to public transport but the rooms, the bedding in particular, was disgusting. Sheets were worn through (with holes in) the bed spread was so gross I had my fiancé remove it immediately and the tiny shower had mold growing in it. In general a nice place if they bought new linen and scrubbed the bathrooms. If I hadn't paid upfront I would have left.
Mold in bathroom and dirty dirty linen
Small space in toilet
I stayed there with my wife and two young children under 10 age. Its location was more than perfect. Republique Metro(subway) which 5 subway lines were gathered was just within 5 minutes walk. It was located in a safe area just near a large public street. Room was clean and all the staffs were very kind and helpful. I strongly recommned this Excelsior!
Staff were very kind
Small and old rooms and elevator.
When I was looking for a place to stay in Paris I was excited to find such a good price. After that, I start reading the previous reviews and I was a little bit concern, but at the end I can say that is a good deal. All the other rooms that I checked on this website wore significant more expensive.
I got to the hotel very late (12am) and there were no towels in the bathroom, and the phone was not working so could not call the reception.
The closeness to the metro Big bed Staff were kind
Bathroom too small Shower door was broken There is a night that the sheets were not changed.
Excellent cheap accomodation. Extremely close to metro, major attractions walkable distance. Excellent service. Room is a little dated but comfortable so no complaints
Nothing not to like really
Location is great, well placed for the Metro station at Republique and within easy walking distance of the Louvre and Notre-Dame. Room 13 is small but adequate if you are planning on being out and about most of the time. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Room was not that clean and started to fall apart whilst we were there. No electric on one side of the room which meant no TV - not that this mattered as there were no European channels. Also the bathroom air vent broke on our last night. But for approximately £60 a night in central Paris it is not that bad.
Location was excellent. Metro nearby at a minor walking distance. Excellent place around with restaurants and cafes. Clean room.
Room was not as expected. Very small. We expected 3 beds and we slept on a double bed and a.. couch with awful matresses - sleep has been a pain.
location, friendly staff
it is supposedly two stars....but i cannot see why! the shower stall was shabby and broken.
Comfy bed Near to Metro Warm shower
Bathroom door did not close Very small room and poor decor Strong smell of newly grouted tiles Lack of tea and coffee making facilities in room
Good location, bakery shop, restaurants and supermarket are all nearby.
Room too small and very old decoration, plaster calling was about to drop anytime. Too noisy during sleeping time. Lift was to small whereby only two ppl or one person with luggage can be access.
too small rooms, not working electricity, dangerous outlets in the bathroom!!!
- Bathroom was dirty, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. There were hairs on the floor. The toilet seat itself was disgusting! Shower area was tiny, it was even difficult to move without touching the dirty walls. - WiFi did not work in the rooms. Even after many complaints over 2 days, reception staff did nothing. They were not even interested to hear the problem or even try to fix it. One reception staff refused to acknowledge that it wasn't working and simply brushed us off. - Room looked nothing like in the pictures. The room was old and tiny. Blankets were thin, not enough to keep warm during the cold night. - 3/5 of the reception staff I encountered were EXTREMELY RUDE, UNINTERESTED AND UNHELPFUL. And they were the ones who were there most of the time. - Not worth the money, based on facilities. - By far, the worst hotel I've stayed at. Would not recommend this to anyone!
We booked the room for 3 persons, but received the 2-person room and extra-bed ! On foto for our room was another room with repair , but we received poor small room with problem with sink !
The room was nothing like it in the photo, the bathroom smelled really bad, the pillow was like a rock and the internet did not work the whole day and night!
-Already used bed sheets with hear on them. - Not cleaned bathroom -Very poor staff service -The picture that you see on the web page is misleading and has nothing to do with the room that was actually reserved for us. - Finally we left the room as we were feeling uncomfotable and booked another hotel to stay while in Paris.
