Hôtel Excelsior  

We were given the keys to a room on the first floor which was spacious and overlooking the garden but had a french balcony and only one chair. We asked if there was a room with a walk on balcony and were offered the room adjacent which had a "Power Shower !" and two chairs. All in all, most satisfactory. All the staff were extremely helpful.

We would get back to the Hotel late afternoon to relax and refresh ourselves before our evening venture into the city centre for a meal. Unfortunately, the chairs were not so comfortable to relax in. They were wrought iron and with a basic foam cushion to sit on so your back rested against iron bars. Perhaps the management should consider seats/chairs with upholstered backs.

I have always stayed in hotel whenever I visit nice. It is very reasonably priced and in a good location in relation to the centre. I have always found the staff to be extremely friendly and obliging.

bath was extremely slippy and in my opinion dangerous from the point of a fall

The garden outside is very nice, especially for having dinner or just having a cup of coffee. It's in a great location, just a short 10 minutes walk to the beach. Its a great hotel with helpful staff and very relaxing ! And its literally less than a five minute walk to the train station, making it easy to explore all the nearby cities and to get to and from the airport !

GOod location, friendly staff. Price was good.

No free internet. Breakfast at 10 Euros was very expensive, much better deals around the corner.

Thin walls -- we heard the guy in the next room hacking up phlegm. Low water pressure in the bathroom sink. Cigarette burn on the bed spread, and marks on the carpet -- but otherwise a clean and pleasant room. The breakfast buffet at 10 euros per person was not very impressive.

We thought the staff were helpful and friendly. The location was good very central- right behind the main railway station, which is also where the shuttle bus to the airport was located. It was a couple of streets from the main shopping and access road to the beach.It was about 20 minute walk to the beach. The hotel had potential- some effort had gone into decorating, plants around etc. The twin room was large as was the bathroom and the beds were comfortable.The air con worked well.

Having said all that it was really noisy- road noise and constant banging of doors and general thumping to keep us awake. The hotel was tired and shabby in appearance- dirty carpets, mould in bathroom. The breakfast selection was poor. The double room was small and bed hard. The hot water ran out one day. We did not think that it was 3 star.

Booking.com listed hotel as having airport shuttle. We assumed it was a dedicated shuttle service free of charge. We found out they called a taxi service for 35 euros. People in the room next door brought home a prostitue and were not quiet at all for a rfew hours. We both had rashes on out legs after staying over for one night.

Hotel was nice and quiet and clean, very close to the station, had good markets and take aways near by. Room was clean and big enough.

Personnel d’hôtel très agréable. Grands belles chambres très charmantes, bien éclairées et bien équipées.

Room service un peu trop bruyant le matin. (Réveille en rentrant dans la chambre à plusieurs reprises le matin)

Location, free internet in public lounge, standard room is quite large, good bathroom.

Room could have been a little cleaner (eg light switches) and would have liked tea and coffee in room. Breakfast was very poor for the price.

excellent rapport qualité-prix avec promo 50Euros pour un hotel 3étoiles dans une rue calme face gare. Très propre. tres beau jardin patio.
