The reception staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. It was in a good location for our group. No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms. |

Close to train station. Largish rooms. Nice garden area to relax in toilet was impossibly small, to the extent that it was difficult to shut the door. I think this only applies to rooms next to the lift so next time I would ask for a room at the back of the hotel. |

Close to train station We complained about the mattress (broken spring) one hour after arrival, and they said there was nothing they could do about it until the next day. |

Hotel was quiet and got a good night's sleep. Room overlooked lovely garden and had french doors onto a small balcony. central location near train station. Good staff. no tea/coffee making facilites. |

I really like the centrality of the hotel's location. It was pretty close to everything including the train station. The staff was very helpful. |

Not luxurious but decent standard hotel, very conveniently located for the railway station.Good access to lively shopping areas. Long uphill walk from seafront and not at all convenient for buses. |

I have stayed in the Excelsior several times and as I have friends who live in Nice and I can visit them easier as I now know my way to their house. I first stayed in the Excelsior with the Travel Department. I found both the rates and the location were good. |

The staff was friendly and did their best to communicate in English, as my French is not so good. It is in great need of renovation. They kept it clean, but everything was old, worn and outdated. The location was not great - next to a bunch of stripper bars, and I was traveling with kids. |
