Excellent hotel overall . good value for money . clean . close to town centre ,close to restaurants . excellent good staff and very helpfull to guests at hotel . excellent breakfast good choise . rooms clean daily lifts efficiente, parking , lifts direct to hotel,

In my view ....................... yes, as was the case with the hotel not been completely full , at this time of year end of april 2012 . why not upgrade guests to higher grade rooms . parking ought to be free for guests . rooms plain but adequate . outside front entrance broken /chppied masony . tramps sleeping rough outside front otherside of street ( for whatever reasons ) do s not look good or promote hotel.

I realised belatedly that we had been given a disabled room for some reason which had an unpleasant 'wet' bathroom. At least three of the electrical items were faulty and the room felt tired and had an external searchlight beamed onto the window so the room could never get dark. The wifi was more about getting your name on a database than about wifi: it was fiddly and slow. Breakfast was very very self-serve with minimal cleanliness or staff attention. I was genuinely surprised and disappointed as I thought Holiday Inn Express was supposed to be a decent chain, not sub-Tired Travelodge or worse. Don't recommend - and it's not even cheap!

Excellent location. Straight opposite train station, short walk to historic centre, lift from underground car park (extra) staight into hotel lobby, spotlessly clean, friendly staff, would definetly use again.

Very convenient as a stopping off place on route to England

Bed was small and very uncomfortable, even though we had been upgraded!

The room was comfortable for a 4 night stay and was cleaned daily and the staff were very polite and always friendly and helpful.

The room was surprisingly large, clean and fresh.

When you come later at night, about 21 o clock, there is no possibility to get some food, a snack or a sandwich....

The hotel is centrally located and so very convenient as a base for visiting the area. It was good value for money and I would feel comfortable in recommending it as a place to stay.

We have stayed here before and when deciding on a holiday in Arras again, had no hesitation in booking the Holiday Inn Express Arras. The hotel is in a nice quiet location with secure car parking facilities. Lots of good restaurants all within walking distance. We enjoyed everything about the hotel including an excellent breakfast to start the day, it suits our needs perfectly. Thank you.

The bedroom was clean and functional, good bathroom facilities. Breakfast was well presented and of good quality. The ability to park my motorbike in the underground garage gave me peace of mind.

The Staff were very helpful and the rooms were very clean and spacious. It would have been better if there were more English speaking tv channels available and perhaps a cafe for coffee and snacks. The Hotel was in a superb location.

The Hotel was experiencing great difficulty with the air conditioning and I understand there were a lot of complaints about it. The rooms were so hot and the windows could not be opened which seemed crazy to me. Also I had to change rooms 3 times due to problems with my door key card system and the noisy air conditioning system but the staff were good about it. The prices of drinks were horrendously expensive and I am sure the hotel lost a lot of business because of this. We only had one drink there and we didn't see anyone else use the bar at all.

For a budget hotel , well relatively budget this was a nice clean hotel.
